Doesn't really fit in the world of DayZ in my oppinion. Why would you have to achieve anything other than survive in DayZ? It's not meant to force you in a certain direction, you're free to do whatever you want - I wouldn't feel like that wiith achievements.

You can just use the report-button to have it locked. You can report yourself and will have no drawbacks from it - it's just an easy way to make a moderator aware of it.

Came here for the threadtitle. Equipteteteteteteted. :) Really - DayZ is not the game for you if you can't deal with losing stuff. If that's something that you know can make you angry before even buying the game you should think twice about buying it. DayZ is powerful to bring emotions up and that's why it's good. Some things you just have to deal with and most people that play for a while either learned to not care or didn't care from the beginning. I see it like this: when I'm dead it gives me the opportunity to scavenge things again and I am happy to do that.

There's plans for the north already - but the buildings aren't implemented yet - it's just empty. As far as I know rocket didn't want them in as long as they're not finished properly. Have you tried verifying your gamefiles on Steam? If that doesn't work - tried reinstalling?

Strange how this thread was ignored. I don't think it's not lighting up enough. But I think there should be more about it. They changed the way the torch works already, as there's not the sharp borders for it as there was in ARMA 2. But I guess that's still work in progress.

Are you sure about that? Anything can cause your character to start moaning, from what I have experienced. May that be because you're sick, you haven't been drinking / eating enough.

You can make it out - if it's about half a second and no actual drinking noise it's bugged. If there is the drinking noise, someone is actually drinking. :beans: For your signature. :)

I can confirm that this worked for me. I have experienced the same. The wind resets for a short while and the bushes aren't moving anymore, nor are the trees.

If you want them to actually show up you can use one of the buttons available when posting - one of them says "Image" and you will be able to paste the link in there.

It's fairly easy - there's a pan ingame. And paper. Write notes and keep them in your inventory. That's how it would be and if you want it you can write it down. I can't see a reason why there should be a count implemented and especially not displaying the names of people you have shot. How would you know someone's name? And if you do - write it down on your murderlist you're carrying with you, so others can see what beast you are. :)

I can't avoid it when it's implemented in DayZ, whereas I can avoid the mod. Leave it to the mod and leave the SA alone. You didn't even read my post, as it answered your question of "Why not?":
