Playing a different character on the same computer

As long as you always switch Steam-Accounts before playing you can have separate characters each bound to the account (effectively bound to the CD-Key) -

I dont understand why there is no AUTO RUN KEY!!!

If you would have actually read one of those topics you would have noticed how rocket has been quoted and where he said, that it won't be added because of immersion. In order to be able to run you actively have to do something, e.g. holding down a button and not just go AFK and let everything happen. -
Most of the things you suggested do not have a place in DayZ and will not ever make it in the game - I suggest you read up a little on what vision the developers have with the game before wasting precious energy on suggesting things that will never make it into the game anyway.

Try walking to the edges and press "V". Try running, so you jump - and also try the simple "step over". If that doesn't work you will have to drink alcohol / disinfectant or something else that would get you killed.

They are disabled for a reason within the game. Why would you have them? There's no reason for that. How would you figure out in a post-apocalyptic world, that someone just died 10km away?

Should have posted in the modsection, then. ;) You will love the next patch (1.8.1) - there's going to be a lot of things added that will make the mod a lot more equal to the Standalone. Such as bloodtypes, bloodtestingkits and all that jazz. I will play the mod again as soon as that patch hits. :)

There's nothing anyone could do - it's the only rule of DayZ and the best one as well: Don't get attached to your gear. You either have a hole in your backpack or there's evil goblins stealing them from you when you're sleeping. First time I heard this happening, to be honest. I would like to know if others experience the same.

When did you change your default character? You realise changing it can delete your current one?

Woah - the Airfield has a second storey? That's some serious shit. In all seriousness: Walk to one edge and press "V" repeatedly, possibly even run towards it so you jump out. You should be fine then.

I don't see your suggestion? How would you resolve it? What would like to see? Why is it not the same size? Size doesn't equal packing space, as some things can be technically smaller, but take up more space, because you packed wrong. While I agree there can be a bit of optimisation done I don't think Syringes and Cans are good examples, as there's always limitations to what a game can do and any game you come across - for example RPG's - that have the same system and I don't see anyone complaining there?

You realise that serverhopping is considered abusing the gamemechanics and thus considered cheating. I wouldn't really risk it if I were you, as the devs have all right to punish you when you do it.

No, you don't lose anything on DayZ, as it's bound to your GUID, not your playerprofile. C:\User\YourUsername\Documents\Arma 2 Other Profiles\ Then go to the "User" directory and copy the content of your User.Arma2oaprofile over to the newly created profile, so go back to: C:\User\YourUsername\Documents\Arma 2 Other Profiles\ Then to go the "meat pie" directory and paste the content of your first User.Arma2oaprofile into the new meat pie.arma2oaprofile and you should be fine. -

If that's your default userprofile you can't change your name. You will have to create a new profile so you can change your name, which will possibly result in you losing your custom keybindings / graphicssettings and everything. If you just copy over your configs from the configfile of your "User"-profile to the "meat pie"-profile you will have your configs back. But other than the keybinds nothing will change. :)
