Different characters for Hardcore/Regular servers??

I actually like that. You can chose to not abuse 3DP and even more so when it's running on a different hive. You're most like even safer on that hive, because there's less people abusing the gamemechanics and I always like to think of it as a safer place, as scripters can't stand 1st person. :D -
You shuold be able to monitor your Graphicscard-temperature and CPU-temperature with the drivers delivered with it. Speaking of which - do you have the latest drivers? Have you tried downgrading again?

Anyone have success in turning their server Private Hive or Hardcore?

Very possible, that your host hasn't set up the option for hardcore yet. It only just released, so I would wait a bit for the hosters to adjust. There's also no option for a private hive - the subhives are just for the hardcore-version as far as I'm aware. -

From what I have heard so far it's regarding the First / Third Person View discussion. And I personally really like the idea of having different hives for the two variants. :) -

Not possible, yet. But if you choose to run it on the hardcore variant, you will see that the hardcore version is running on a different hvie than the normal version. -

Rightclick the game in Steam -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Game Integrity Or restart Steam. Or restart Computer. -

Lovely. What about other games? Make sure it's not your hardware. If it freezes it can very well be a hardwareproblem. Do you have any means to monitor your temperature / processor use? Not only CPU, also GPU. Have you tried changing your settings?

No. In my oppinion this doesn't have a place in DayZ. If you want that, you can play the Epoch-Mod of DayZ on ARMA 2.

Hmm. I think you will have to wait for others that spraypainted their gun to confirm it, as that can be a bug considering you technically changed your gun. Just to make sure: You do not have rounds still in your gun? -
20-30 in Elektro is the way it has always been for me and is acceptable enough. I simply can not go near any major cities without dropping massively. But then again - all BIS games hate me, as I use AMD.

It was like that when it was launched as well. Do you remember the launch? It was nighttime for everyone everywhere. That's just how it sometimes is, especially in Alpha. I don't even think it was supposed to be like that, but now it is. It is bound to be changed eventually. -
