Before I sound like a dick: Thank you for publishing this information so quickly. However - would it be possible to have a list of servers that are known to be working instead of the ones that aren't? That way we can directly connect to the servers that are working and get going instead of having to doublecheck the IP every time before joining. :)

You might notice how long I have been trying to help people out on these forums and you simply need to make sure to ask those questions, as often enough they will be returned with a "Oh, shit - I haven't!" I am trying to help others and as a matter of fact desync is caused serverside and hardly related to where the server is located, which you would know if you had more useful information than I do. I have helped many people in my time and there's no such thing as useless posts in regards to troubleshooting, as it has to do with making sure to rule out certain factors (for example that it could be caused by certain servers). Now that we have ruled out the server and even hosting-factor, as the OP has replied to me you can see that it indeed has not been caused by that and we can move on deeper to solve the issue. How come that every single one of your posts is actually that hostile? Have you not had your coffee yet?

I don't think you can add servers to your favorite. I tried several times and if you can add servers to your favorite, it must be new.

If you want to get started about the DayZ-experience without losing your gear, you should definitely check out the mod. I think the HumbleBundle still offers ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: OA if you pay more than 6$. You shuold definitely think about getting that - as Bohemia has quite a few good games offered in that bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly If you actually get that bundle and want to get started on it - let me know and I will help you out and get you started on it. Just make sure you pay >6$ in order to get both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA, as that is what you need.

How come you think I am not? I am a part of this community and here to give others advice. If this would consist of repeating what others have said about this topic already I may as well repost the link to those topics that answered your question already instead of struggling to copy/paste a reply that might suit you. We can make this community a better place together and a part of that is not littering the forums with topics that have already been discussed. You can be a part of that as well instead of having a go at me.

Have you tried different servers? Those issues actually sound like they could be serverside, especially the desync that is going on with you. You should try a different server and try again.

That's just due to the way the game works and how the mechanics are. Obviously you have 6 slots in your medpack, which would theoretically allow you to smack 6 T-Shirts in there - but if you think about it that would be way too much for a small medpack. Instead it gives you the medpack with 2 extraslots, because you can't have an item that takes up 0 slots in your inventory and thus makes up for the fact that medical items take up 1 slot, even though they're much smaller than a T-Shirt would be. It just one way to balance it and the same way with ammo. (You also still have the plastic container or however it's called, where you can put stuff in. Just use that to enhance your space. :) )

I thought like that about 1.5 years ago as well and then I got to know a lot of people I wouldn't know now and I am happy about it. I wasn't really keen talking to strangers on the internet I have never met before, but I really do enjoy the variety of them all. And if there are some you don't like it's even easier to chose not to do anything with them compared to your "RL". ;)

You can't save your character by changing your name. It's bound to your CD-Key / GUID.

What server are you playing on? Have you tried different servers? Publichive servers? It's not like SA - there are a lot of different versions and a lot of different hives and a lot of modded servers that might have fucked up.

No, I didn't suggest playing alone, even though that can be pretty intense at times as well. I suggested searching for people that are at your level and actually enjoy playing 1st person only with you. And you can find those people on here. If not here, where would you find those?

You can try to convince your friends to play with you - or find people on here that will play it. I will play hardcore and I know a few that will play that as well. Don't be afraid of finding people to play with on here - they're (mostly) nice people.
