How is a fridge more obvious than a camp in the middle of nowhere? There are loads and loads of fridges Not all will have stuff in them that players put there. I would think it's quite a good idea.
-
Did you take a look at the last DevBlog? They're already working on persistent objects, which would not only be backpacks you could hide filled with stuff, but also for example that you can use fridges as storage.
-
An easier fix would be just sprinting towards the wall and smashing "V" when next to it. You'll eventually find the sweet spot where you're jumping / vaulting out.
-
Including many topics about it every day. I suggest sticking to the existing ones for now.
-
Send me a PM and we'll sort something out for you.
-
You have posted this in the suggestion area of the mod, which is not going to happen, as it's rather impossible to do anyway. Did you mean to post it for the Standalone? If so, we somewhat had that at the beginning, where it was simply grabbing your Steam-name, which I actually liked, but that has changed now so you can chose your name.

It has to do with the storagecontainers. Without going too much into detail it is trying to be synced across the clients constantly causing desync between players. You will notice the desync to go down considerably when you drop all storage containers (including ammoboxes and firstaidkits) EDIT: Just realised it was mentioned in the post above. Even though what rocket is saying in that quoted element is somewhat wrong to assume. As most of the time desync is caused by the clients trying to resolve functions / trying to compile and execute them. You can't really say it shouldn't have been there, as it's an essential part of what ARMA is and how it works. You will always have scripts running on the clientside in ARMA, you just need to be smart enough to code it in a way it's not overloading the clients. If you are overloading the clients, desync happens. But that is not ARMA's fault.
-
No, it is actually quite clever as a script and from what I see here it shouldn't eat far too much of your resources.
-
Not as a mere script executed clientside. I shall try out and see if it would theoretically be able to be ported over to ARMA 2 / the mod.
-
Remember, though: this is a script written by a communitymember in his free time. There's no guarantee this will be added to anything regarding DayZ.

I saw that in one of the DevBlogs from the 2017 mod, I believe. I like the idea and if it's working without drawing too many resources I would love to have it that way. For me it's pretty much the perfect compromise between 3rd and 1st. Even though I am thinking baout drawbacks I can't really think of any other than the fact that it might kill your FPS if it's checking every frame. If this finds its way into any mod (and I personally would like to implement on any server I am playing on) there is no reason for anyone to say that they need 3rd. It has all the positive sides for the players that say they need 3rd whilst not giving any drawbacks to us 1st-players. And obviously they can't say anything about it, as they would out themselves as 3rd-abusers. :P

Noone said homosexuals are perfect. Even they can be hackers. And you shouldn't ever shoot anyone that held a gun to your face and didn't shoot you. Ever.
-
Yes. You should never go on rocks on any BIS game. The only thing that can possibly come out of it as a horrible death you wouldn't have wanted to die. Even on ARMA 3 you're shuffling about when trying to go on rocks. I still don't know where your topictitile comes in or where it would be a wallhack.
-
To your question whether it will be fixed or not: No. Never. There are tons of topics about desync out there and in almost all of them there is a link to the last DevBlog in which rocket explains what is causing the desync and how he plans on fixing it in the very near future.

Got banned for 'hacking' when i wasn't even on the server.

Sadly you are the one not making it easy for us. As much as we'd like to help you: there are about 10,000 servers out there, I don't know how many are Namalsk, but most certainly more than one. And this is not just a clan's forum. These are the official forums for both the Standalone Game and the Mod and originally have nothing to do with Namalsk whatsoever. And none of the people that have posted in this thread are running a Namalsk server as far as I am aware. -
There are guides on there that will help you setting them up for free, but there are also versions that cost around 40$ I wouldn't want to play on a server made of crap, but if you're talking about custom buildings - that's fairly easy to achieve. They are disconnected. Banning people and posting messages are included in the functionality of BattlEye, whilst teleporting isn't and to be able to do this I refer to my Point 1. Yes, but that will make your "custom shit" go away again every time. You will have to have different files for different maps causing you to create those files and change them for every map. Yes. There are easy guides for that out there. Depends on whether it's existent already or not. If not, it requires custom coding making it hard to get those features. All what you have asked for will be answered on here in different threads or on http://opendayz.net I suggest you start researching yourself, as that will take up a lot of your time and if you are not willing to do that you shouldn't look into getting your own server,as it will be a lot of work.

In a death loop. Any advice would be great.

Are you playing experimental by any chance? -
Do you think altis life will be recreated on the dayz sa?
kichilron replied to nighhawk's topic in General Discussion
Thing is: Altis is an ARMA 3 map. And whilst you think it might be a great idea to have it on the DayZ:SA framework it makes no sense whatsoever to do that. Altis is an ARMA 3 map, which would need porting over to DayZ SA This would only partly work, because DayZ: SA is running the RV-Engine Mk. 3, whilst ARMA 3 is on RV 4 It would be easier to port over the existing assets to ARMA 3 (which already happened. All small objects like the texture for Antibiotics or the Can Opener are included in ARMA 3) DayZ: SA framework is not suited for any "LIFE" mod whatsoever -
Extrasensory Perception, short: ESP is what it's called. But this topic has been covered so often I lost count.

Good evening, Sir.

Do not download, what he has posted - just to make sure.

As usual SmashT jumps in to give us all the information we needed. :) Thank you and quite honestly: I was suspecting something like this. There must have been something going on considering Mod-Servers still go, especially Epoch. So many people using communities to make themselves stand out and thinking they're the kings of the world. Odd. But to be expected in a harsh environment like DayZ. ;)

How much are you paying for your server? The AH can't be more than 1-2 months worth of serverrental, which isn't over the top for me. In my oppinion the investment is well worth it, which is why I am insisting on this. 40$ isn't too much for what you're getting with it.
