    DayZCommander doesn't seem to be working properly anymore for quite a while now. Have you tried resetting your filters and / or altering your "Max Connections" at the bottom of your "Settings" Tab?

    How is that the same? The mellee-system for the palyers is in place, and of course it only needs adding textures. This is in no way connected to the Zombie-AI and -pathing, which requires manual developing for the entire map.

    That is on the list and being worked on. You're slowly undermining your own statement of "working in software" - things like the Zombiepathing and AI aren't done in half a week. Yes, they're being worked on - but it takes a while, considering the sheer size of Chernarus and how many different places / buildings there are. Funnily enough I am impressed myself having to see how many people jump on here ignoring the facts of what DayZ is and what state it is in. And thus making it a quite legitimate reaction wanting to scream you in the face "ALPHA", as you don't seem to comprehend what an Alpha actually is.

    Hello and welcome to the forums. :) Whilst I still don't agree with that, considering the amounts of gear you're carrying on you, plus a weapon in your hand (most likely) - you can easily break your legs falling off the edge like that. But remember, that it's still Alpha / Early Access and things like that (such as falldamage) are subject to change.

    Is that why, after the patch broke the game for a lot of people (not all, keep in mind) they immediately pushed another update to fix it again? A lot of things have already been fixed and that you can't remember that is only a good thing.

    DEADLY Ricochet Mechanic Proved True

    Considering DayZ: SA is based off Take on, which is based off ARMA 2 I am not surprised. Already had properly nice ricochets in ARMA 2. Tested it out with a projectile camera once and it's insane where you can go, if you only just follow the projectile. There should still be a mod out there for a camera and a testing ground, if you want to test it out.

    Considering everything for the mellee is in place already it won't take days to implement it, correct. The majority of the work is to get the textures in place, everything else is just copy / pasta to the game, so it won't really take up any Dev's time.

    As he said himself, though: a lot of boom with nothing to it. It's not being compressed and forced into a direction, like it would with a shell - so it doesn't really do anything.

    Are we actually talking baout the mod and ARMA 2: OA here? Either way, your CPU is quite underpowered, which can be a massive problem, as any BIS game is very CPU-intense.

    leg injury

    I don't think the damage calculation is working properly at the moment, as I have heard people report on multiple occasions, that absolutely everything in their inventory went "Ruined". I suppose that will change soon enough. As for the leg: you can use a makeshift splint.

    I wouldn't go down that way, but I would like to ask you a question. Do you know what happened with Taviana and that there is a reason you are not allowed to do anything with it? The original creator (Martin) chose to stop work on Taviana, which was open to public, and jumped over to help the Origins-people. Since he did that noone else is allowed to do anything with the mod. There were a couple of incidents of good and active people (from OpenDayZ) trying to mod Taviana, which he then shot down with threats of a lawyer. If I were you I would rethink if you want to try it out, as I highly recommend not doing so. You can achieve most things (like changing the loottables) with an extended missionfile and you can also include buildings serverside (in the dayz_server.pbo), if you want to do that. That way you will bypass the threats of legal actions that you might encounter whilst trying to mod Taviana. And Taviana isn't the only thing you would have to have permissions for if you want to edit it. You need to have permissions when trying to mod DayZ as well.

  22. Guys, easy - easy. It's not really worth discussing this anyway, is it? They won't release the game when they eventually, completely coincidentially hit version 1.0. It's not like they say: Oh, fuck - we ran out of versions - we need to make it a full game now. So this discussion is rather tedious. It will be released by the time it's done.

  24. Says who now? We can always change to version-# 1.0.0 when a major patch arrives. The mod is in version. 1.8.0.3 - and technically it's still in Alpha. 1.0.0 doesn't mean it has to release. One could also release with a later version. The build-# could also have started at 1.0, which would mean we would be in build-# 1.43 now. Noone says 1.0 has to be release.
  25. No, it is not. It is going to be released end of 2015, beginning 2016. We're in Alpha. Then comes Beta by the end of the year, then comes release. And I don't think you understand how it works. 1.0 doesn't mean release.
