I Merged topics so I don't have to say everything twice. DayZ Mod is available on Steam and only supported through there. No other launchers are supported. Oh, and DayZCommander hasn't been updated in well over 1.5 years now, don't even bother.

So, to understand this. Someone has rented a server and named it exactly the same as yours? Have you tried contacting the hoster at all?

Just go through Steam, that's the safest way - all other methods are really not reliable.

Just so you get familiar with the Forum - the section you posted in is for general Questions and Answers. The way that DayZ works and is laid is that it's far too complex for anyone to understand all mechanics in a few hours, let alone a few hundred hours. It would also normally not make sense to have a single topic to ask all the questions, like you're suggesting. It would just be far too cluttered with far too many different questions in a single topic. That is why we've got an entire section ("New Player Discussion") dedicated to this. There's also the Patch Discussion thread, where all new features and changes are discussed in one huge topic - usually a good idea to start reading there (not only for patchnotes).

The only official page you can download the dayZ Mod from is Steam. Make sure you're downloading from there - and make sure you're posting in the correct section - this is for the Standalone, not the mod. Moved.

Let me put this in a way you might understand: WE'RE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SERVERS THAT SERVERPROVIDERS HAND OUT TO YOU. YOU'LL HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THEM, AS WE HAVE NO POWER OVER THEIR BACKEND. Or - in short: Cut out the capslock and if your server doesn't work, chargeback your money.

DayZ is not available for Mac, nor the other way around - as you titled it. Make sure you do your research and if you're a mac user anyway, there's almost no way you've never heard of bootcamp before. Make sure you search the Forum, as there's tons of Information about this available.

Just use Steam to launch DayZ Mod, that's the only supported way and works fine.

Not for Chernarussian Territory. Remember, it's not supposed to be America. And it's actually pretty close to the reallife counterpat of Chernarus, which is located in the Czech Republic.

Aight, so here we go. Added interior already indicates that they're not A2 Buildings anymore, but are part of SA and reworked for SA. Thus they're not A2 Buildings no more - not for a long stretch anyway. You could say the same thing when going to Czech Republic / Russia. "Woah, all these look like A2 - totally lame!" Whilst we're at that argument - you could say that same thing about Russia / Czech Republic in general - that it's bland. I would actually call it pretty accurate for that exact reason. Not a suggestion I'm afraid. Expect things like this to change over time, seeing as we're still in Alpha. It can have various reasons as to why it was disabled / toned down. Here's an idea. Ask on the EPOCH Forum. We're not affiliated with them in any way. DayZ Mod is available on Steam, no other programs needed and thus no problems with Launchers breaking your game.

Can you get a friend to join the server before you to see what the ingame message is when you're getting kicked?

Make sure you're launching the mod from Steam and that you're running the newest version. To be 100% sure you can join a server you know is running the newest version, try one of the popular ones, like the one geryon is hosting, and click "Remote" in the "Multiplayer" screen. That will alow you to enter the IP adress of a specific server, in this case: IP: 198.27.83.122 Port: 2342

That happens when you don't have hte appropriate mod enabled. Easiest way to go about joining a server is to just launch "DayZ Mod" from Steam and search for servers ingame.

This is the Standalone-Section, not Mod related Did you try Steam yet? If not, why not? That's the only supported way of acquiring the Mod and is literally a 1 click install What's the actual error you're getting? Moved

Please provide more details as to what you have tried already and if you have already tried resetting the filters, etc.
