Considering you have a Laptop you'll always struggle a little. Any Bohemia game is very demanding, which laptops mostly can't provide.

I would like the headtorch to be adjusted, personally. Because I am playing 1st person only / hardcore and with TrackIR the headtorch actually shines in different depending on your head-movement - which is a nice feature, but it's off. I always have to look up to see what's in front of me. -

It's not really being mentioned in there: Have youtried different servers? They can bottleneck you quite a lot. Try joining different servers (best would be Vanilla 1.8.0.3, as it's got the best performance) and report back. If you're talking about Epoch, I can only say that there's not much hope for you as it's poorly optimised.

It's great, isn't it? :) Well, about the Zombies: they have been improved vastly over different versions and are definitely better than the SA zombies, I don't think on Epoch they are, but on 1.8.0.3 they should be better and on MustyZ they definitely are.

Most of the people that came from the mod (including myself) prefer the harder variants, such as MustyZ or Despair. Give it a try - Epoch is generally seen as the "easy-mode" and can't really be described as what DayZ originally stood for. (Being able to buy infinite amounts of cars? Come on!) Yes, I did include shameless advertising for my own mod. Deal with it.

I am fine and playing it right now. Rightclick on DayZ and go to Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Game Integrity When in game, search for EXP and make sure the server has the same version as you do.

Moved to Mod Troubleshooting. You need ARMA 2 as well as ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead. Buy and install and you will be able to play.

Sounds like the perfect game. If you want to judge the DayZ Mod you should play neither of those.

You can just use DayZCommander after having downloaded the mods you want to play - you just need to make sure you have these components installed: ARMA 2ARMA 2: Operation ArrowheadARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead BetaDayZCommanderThe mod you're trying to play in the correct version Make sure to search for some settings in DayZCommander that will help you, including the "Launch through Steam" one.

As for the rest of this thread: blocking third party voiceprograms isn't going to happen, please don't get in massive arguments over it derailing the entire thread and ignoring all other points made. -

There is no way of doing that ingame (currently as far as I am aware anyway). Though it might come at some point, as I am pretty sure ARMA 3 has it. Thread closed as per Ugly's request. -
