That is the way it works, though. There are certain things you need to try out while in the Alpha / Beta stage. See it as some sort of "finding yourself and the game" state. Some things may not stay, but have been tested out. Not all designdecisions are final and some are just there to see if it works or no. I wouldn't worry about the details too much, as everything will change soon enough. More things are being added and things are being fixed. I don't really see where some of the complaints come from. If you want to critisize a game you need to make sure you've got all the information necessary to actually be able to judge the game the way it deserves. We Moderators are not here to stop people from critisizing the game, even thought many of you seem to have the feeling as if that is the case. If you base your argumentation on an informaed basis and say: see, this won't work because of these reason and this and that - then your feedback will be heard and forwarded. It already happens at the moment. This is where the part of the community comes in. We're here to moderate the forums and keep it as sane as possible. The usual "lolfix them zombambles now!" will be locked and yarded due to simple reason that there's already work being done on it, infact an entire team works on the Zombies. Keep it as appropriate and informed as possible and there is no reason why your thread should be locked or that your feedback won't be heard.

Also make sure not to have a firewall activated on your computer and take a look at your portforwarding for the router.

There are usually also enough people around that do stuff for free - just need to give them some time and they will do great work for you. No need to pay anyone. :)

Make sure to post your public IP, rather than your local one, if you're running a server from your homecomputer. You also don't need to get yourself a dedicated server (which would be fairly expensive) - a DayZ Gameserver would do and they can be acquired far cheaper.

I can't even comprehend how many thigns are wrong in that post. No only do we not deal with these things, you also do not get banned from ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead for trying to use scripts on DayZ: Standalone. I guess that there's some kind of pattern to see there. I get the motorcycle helmet error as well, and yet I am still here. If you're trying to search for excuses, do it more professionally. You won't get any help here, as BE bans for a reason and they're responsible for bans, not us. And don't expect them to tell you, why you've been banned. Why would they? It's their job not to.

This has been covered a multitude of times. We wouldn't be where we currently are when trying to use A3's engine. ARMA 3 isn't even out long enough for that. When DayZ Development started, ARMA 3 wasn't even released, I don't think even in Alpha-release on Steam. DayZ wouldn't have been able to base its development off the ARMA 3 engine, as that wasn't eve half finished at the time. Do your homework before posting rants, please.

I may have worded it wrong. This is not an MMORPG, where women are men and sex-objects. This is a survivalgame and if one's trying to protect themselves from Zombie-attacks, cold and rain, I don't think that underwear is the appropriate gear for that. Some funny people might run around in that, but that's what the "highend"-gear should be that one is aiming for. Most women also deem it offensive, that the only type of clothingchoice they have in an MMORPG is to be halfnaked, which I can understand - especially considering and comparing what the male characters in those games usually wear.
