Why not host your own? There's serverpackages out there that will allow you to start a server with one click.

The way you go about setting up a server is the following: Set up MySQL Server Create Database for DayZ Execute Scripts provided with serverpackage That should really be all to set up the SQL Server. To set up the MySQL Server, it's fine to just something like for example "XAMPP" for easy setup. The way it works with the vehicles is the following: there's a procedure within the SQL Server that is being exectued every 3 hours and that spawns the vehicles. If you set up your server with a different instance ID (speicified in your missionfil in the init.sqf) than "1" (default is "1337"), you will have to change the value of the function being called in your procedure. That is what "Call pMain(1)" does. The "1" being your server's instance. If you didn't change the default you will have to call / Execute "pMain(1337)" in your SQL Server. Hope that somewhat helps - if not, ask.

Why does it have to be vanilla, not chocolate? Seriously, though: it can't "reach Vanilla", as it's already vanilla. A mod or an addon / expansion would be considered "not vanilla", but as it is right now, it's vanilla - just not 1.0.

A good idea would be to begin asking on Epoch / Overwatch / OverPoch Forum, as this is not the place. DayZ Mod is everything you want, as it's a 1 Click installation on Steam.

You may want to try the Epoch Forum or Overwatch for that matter, if you're experiencing problems with them. DayZ Mod is available on Steam and works fine on there, no additional launchers required.

There's multiple different thread about this issue already and most people can easily find a solution for the problems - seeing as it's a pertty common error when installing DayZ, which is why there's not a lot more threads about it. Just google "dayz_anim requires Ca_Dubbing_CounterAttack" or "cannot find chernarus.wrp"

Version-# in Software development don't follow a strict convention, other than the one you set yourself. They could literally go to 0.734 from 0.58 and iterate over those - which will end up with a version-# like: 0.734.34523489 just before the 1.0 release.

What is your general / average GPU-Load while playing?

How did you go about trying to download DayZ Mod on Steam? Mind talking us through the steps. Also: forget about DayZCommander entirely, there's no point to that, it will not give you the newest mod-updates nor will it be able to query any servers, it's dead weight at this point. You will need ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead on Steam anyway, as it won't work without that.
