Sounds like some solid ideas. Just remember this isn't even beta this is like a pre-alpha, so we may see some of these things in time. But I agree with some of these ideas.

Uh you could try using a ram disc. Create a virtual drive on your ram to run DayZ from. But your graphics card the 520m is crap. So you cant really do much other then that.

Hey I'm just wondering if anyone needs a hand with building a website for their server. I am currently in college for computer programming in my final year. I am just looking to build a couple cool sites / apps for the site, for free; to put on my resume. I am fluent in many languages (c#, c++, Java, JavaScript, XML, SQL, html, css, aspx, php). I'm not the best designer so you may want to have something already designed. Please remember this would be a side project for me. I currently have spare time to work on it but I cannot predict the future. My school work comes first. Also I am looking for a server to play on. Just getting back into DayZ.

I think he basically means add more islands. The problem with this is that DayZ uses the standard map. They would have to modify the map itself and have everyone download it. I was told once before that apparently when you start adding things to already large maps that they start to become unstable. Don't quote me on this.

I don't think admins are allowed to keep their servers password protected for an extended period of time.

Well I'm running the 6870, so I would assume that it will work for you. But one issue I see is when entering a main city i.e. Cherno. I think you will be down in the 15 - 25 fps range depending on view distance.

I was very serious. I am all for the subtle suggestions approach. I don't think knowing you're thirsty by looking at a meter is right for this game.

I think they should just get rid of the visual meters. They should replace them with subtle things such as your stomach growling when your hungry.
