A sensitive case here it seems. I agree that offensive names can be a bit disdaining but OP seems a bit hateful..! I more or less feel sorry for people that are pedophile rather than have a grudge on them. I remember reading stories about pedophiles committing suicide since they knew it was wrong but just like homosexuality or bisexuality, I believe it can be a case of natural preference, something one cannot control. Don't get me wrong, I think the act of pedophilia is still wrong and dreadful. but wishing a person dead for isn't quite justified

Wow, I didn't realize there was such a passionate hate around heavy weapons. While I agree with most of the .. disagreements regarding explosives. Everyone seems to forget that incase there would be a mortar in DayZ for example.. I could imagine the mortar shells being extremeley rare and the mortar itself needing maintenance. Not to mention a mortar source could be loud and sitting ontop of these things leaves you entirely vulnerable to weaponfire from other people. I don't say I agree with the idea being put to life but yeah.. I think the game lacks the ability to intercept vehicles from time to time.. especially choppers. So something like a heavy machine gun could be a good thing to defend your stashes against people that are in possesion of a heli. But yeah stuff like improvised bombs would be nice. IED's or molotovs. However, considering that explosive charges and usual grenades could be put back into the game would leave it a bit of an unnecessary addition.

The scenario description is well put! I voted D myself. But considering how my approaches differ from each other depending on the situation. I guess it wouldn't be my definite answer. For example.. If I happen to be low on blood and have allot at stake, I probably would be a bit more trigger friendly. I try to avoid contact if I don't wish to interact with other players. But if the point arises where conflict is inevitable, I would try to converse with the player(s) in question. If they would respond by drawing a weapon and pointing towards my direction (while I have my weapon still put away) I wouldn't hesitate to back up and shoot them for making such an aggressive gesture. I find that (especially now since there's an easier way to arm and un-arm yourself) that there's no reason to draw a weapon towards another player if they are unarmed or have their weapon put away. Unless, ofcourse, the player or players are intending to kill in which in my case it would mean I'd gladly take out my own arms in response and shoot if they don't quickly decide to put their weapons away. But like I said, it greatly depends on the situation at hand. I'll be honest that at times I killed other players without a solid reason just so I wouldn't have to end up dealing with an awkward conflict or when I have allot to lose.

While I can understand your feelings about the new infection rate, I don't think I'd do the right thing and stand by the statement of melee 'being pointless'. I'm also not sure how long you've been playing with the new patch build in general actually. If I remember correctly, my first few days of gameplay in the new build got me killed a dozen of times due to the infection since I was underestimating the zombies completley. You basicly have to adapt your playstyle dramaticly now (at least for most people) to survive for a longer period of time since zombies are actually a considerable thread now. Now to the point where I disagree with melee being pointless. Well allot of people already mentioned why, melee can still provide a silent venture through towns and places that have a high activity of zeds. When you would leave out the exploit of zombies only being able to walk indoors, you'd still be well off with a melee weapon when you notice there's a single zed closing into you. While risk of infection is highly present, I think you'll be statistcly better off by killing him with your melee weapon then shooting him down and invite the rest of his undead party to this morbid game of tag. Not to mention the ammo you'll be conserving. I think the main point of having a melee weapon in the current game is due to the availability and the fact that it doesn't ammo.. soort off. I know you'd be safer with a silenced weapon but knowing that they aren't lying around everywhere, I still find that melee weapons turn out to be a usefull tool.

Keeping the L85 in the game without the thermal optics seems the best choice and it appearently is so far! I mean the NVGoggles alone are quite the advantage already. thermal vision just takes the advantage aspect to a somewhat unfair level in my opinion.

Okay so I haven't been playing in a while and I noticed I still had a bunch of gear left on my character on the Chernarus servers that was given to me some time ago. I'll probably end up trying some of the additional maps anyway so if anyone wants it just gimme a PM or something, first one gets served! As suspicous as it may sound I'll promise it's free and there's no killing involved!

Okay then, I've dropped all the more rarer loot I had outside of Stary Sobor near the little white house with a car wreck and a blockade that is overlooking the town. it's on DE 3686. The loot content is: - AS50 with 4 mags, 2 full and 2 with 4 bullets left. - FN FAL with 2 mags, one is half full I believe. - G17 with a couple of mags. - PDW with 3 full mags. - NV Goggles. - Map and Compass. - Some food and drinks. Half of it is stored in a 26 slot backpack. So yeah! let the games begin I guess... Huehuehuehuehueh. no but seriously it's there so feel free to take any of it.

Hmmm well I tried finding people for a moment but the amount of Chernarus servers on 1.7.4.4 seem somewhat low so I didn't have allot of choice xD but yeah I guess it'll be an idea to drop it somewhere. I'll come back with a post for you guys to go and find it EDIT: I'll revise on that statement, I re-opened DayZCommander and now it appears there are tons of servers after all.

Haha the whole event is hilarious alright. would be something if that shot was the cause. But next to that. I thought the Huey helicopters were made to last? believe I followed some documentairies where they tell something about them being able to withstand allot of bullets as they were made to transport infantry and wounded in and out of hostile territory while being at high risk of getting shot at with automatic weapons and all that.

Ahh well, I did forget to note that. I doubt it'll give you any other privileges in DayZ if you happen to be a female player. Was more of a response to the concept in general I guess. But yeah, I agree with you that people who jerk off to the slightest sign of someone being a female in-game and worship them as they go, to be complete fools.

For the lad believing that girl gamers have no significant advantage of being a girl gamer. you probably haven't played many MMO's .. During my time playing WoW, players presenting theirselves as female ALWAYS had priority in guilds and just prior in general actually.. and it more or less bothered me because through the guilds i've been in and such I noticed how some of them could be quite bad at the game, knowledge and skill wise and would just get all the profits of dungeon runs. I specficily despised the ones that were arogant allong the way.

Everyone knows we chose the male skin due to the sexy booty..! Interesting vid btw. the first time I believe I bothered watching a vid where people don't bandit each other's asses and other kind of backstabbery.

Okay so, about a week ago I decided to play a game of DayZ once again. it was my first time playing again since a few weeks that day, as I haven't had the proper amount of time or motivation to play it allot lately. Anyhow, so I was walking up allong the coast, went through Cherno for a quick loot grab and was heading towards the western edge of Cherno. taken by surprise I suddenly hear a Ural honking as he's driving towards me! I get forced to disarm myself and hop in the back where I also find another player that's been supposedly "kidnapped". I thought oh well.. I was only playing for 20 mins and had nothing to lose so I didn't log out or anything. the kidnapper that went by the name MagicBunny during that game, started explaining what was happening. appearently he was doing some kind of event that he was going to show on youtube. As he refers to "we" they were making up some kind of quiz, he'd pick up as many players he could get from the coast and drive out to a more remote location when he was done collecting victims. he'd ask us a question one at a time. if you'd answer wrong you basicly get executed and it would go on like that till 2 players were left. luckily for us we only ended up being with 3; A German and some Russian guy who had no clue what was going on. so we arrive at the location where we'd take part of the quiz, we had to stand in a line facing each others back while being unarmed. he asked the Russian a question, which was: What is number 4 in binary. needless to say I had no idea what the answer was. nor did the Russian as he was still not aware what he had to do in general. so the German volunteerd to answer the question: he answered with; 0100, which appeared to be incorrect. he gets executed. So now it was just the Russian and moi. we had to do a stand off. he'd give us both a M9 SD in our given positions facing away from each other. he'd then say GO in voice to note that we were allowed to turn arround and shoot. the winner would get allot of high end gear out of his truck. the Russian started shooting the kidnapper. and he appeared to be in godmode. (which explained why he was bold enough to force armed people into his truck.) So yeah I shot the Russian guy and came out victorious! it all didn't really turn out to be as epic as I'd expected. so he let me take the gear what was in the ural and teleported me to a remote camp where there was more loot to pick from. and he allowed me to have a white pick up which was fully functional and fueled, he teleported me to a different location afterwards with the car and left off. and that was my odd but fun experience of playing DayZ again. Haha, that would've been gold! but there wasn't anything like that in the truck anyhow as I found out when I got to loot it, was a selection of loot that he specificly wanted to give away I guess. and he didn't kill me in the first place so I thought I would just play allong. But yeah what I got from the guy was a ghillie, an AS50, L85, a CZ which was in the pick up, NVGs plenty of food. and when I drove away with the pick-up, I stumbled upon an unlooted heli crash with a FAL and some mags! so I couldn't complain.

Hmm, well I only ended up getting killed by a hacker just once, in Lingor Island aswell, the server was pretty full, believe about 30-ish amount of players. we all got tele'd to some random TEC house and he didn't even bother shooting as everyone was already just making a big ass death match out of it. That's how I lost my extremely rare and valuable AKM..! Oh God why. and not to mention how I lost my beans.
