Eating and drinking doesn't seem to do much in the way of preventing death.

I don't think eating and drinking to surive actually works. I ate and drank heaps and passed out 10 minutes later. I guess i just ate too much food and eventually it knocked me unconscious.

My mate recently killed a bloke that had an AS50 TWS and kept it. We decided to go to the northwestern airfield to find more loot. We were there for about thirty minutes and an invisible hacker spawned at us and started calling us hackers. I told him "politely" to f off. He then continued to call me a hacker and ask why i was invincible. I explained to him that i wasn't and he dot killed me or some bullshit. Is it hacking to loot a corpse that has a hacked weapon? Unfortunately i didn't have Fraps running at the time.
