  1. In reply to the refillable magazine suggestion, yes this is a great idea. I'd like to see the inventory system more accurately represent what someone would carry, and how much room things take up. It's inconceivable that 2 rounds of slug/buckshot would take up the same space as a 30 round mag for the AK/AR. What I'd also like to see is different ammo types (AP, Incendiary, Tracer, Ball, etc) and have a mag refill section on the inventory menu, that allows us to stack round for round, different types of ammo. You could mix and match any types, which is a common practice in the military. Usually what you do is stack tracers with AP/Steel core penetrator so every other shot, you can get an accurate idea of where your shots are going in low light/darkness without wasting tracers. As for the blood bags, I'm not sure but I would think that would be a one way valve and to be honest, that's rather disgusting. Now a transfusion from person to person would make some sense, but then again someone has to lose blood to receive blood, and it's so easy to find an animal, slaughter it and get your blood back up to a reasonable level.

  4. I've seen this before, someone posted about it as well and there were little to no direct answers about what it is, if it's legitimate and how to do it. There must be some secret order of balaclava wearing bandits or something.
  5. Maybe by now everyone knows people hide vehicles in the north? IMO vehicle hoarding always leads to QQing. I just blow them up when I find them.

    You live in West Virginia, not Chernarus. Also 100 dollar AK? Sorry that's not even possible. Not even the worst AK, the WASR-10 sells for that low a price. If you want to go to the other extreme of the argument, someone from Europe would be bitching that there are two many military weapons and/or guns need to be removed because a common citizen cannot purchase them without some problems. What everyone is forgetting is this is post-apoc. No laws or government apply, it's non-existent. It's literally anarchy. That and you are not accurately gauging how many SKSs and other soviet weapons were made en mass before the AK was even invented.

    I hate to pick apart what someone says when they agree with me, but to be fair I must. Chernarus is not Russia. It's a fictional post soviet state. If it's anything it's the Czech Republic, considering the overall shape of the region is pretty close to the Czech Republic. From Bohemia's own wiki, "Chernarus is a fictional post-Soviet country, accurately recreated from geographical data of real landscape." Still, I do agree that Russian guns should be the most prevalent arms in the game.

  9. Server list is visbile Buckethead (me) Moose Man the Great, and Hexn were all in the helicopter, and are all friends of mine. The ONLY other people on the server were GSUA members. But considering you're part of the clan, I can guess you didn't post because there's a lack of evidence, you posted because you're covering your clan's ass.

    I do believe they have flares for the m203, not sure why you'd need a stand alone flare gun.

    I agree with your first suggestion. The lack of an end goal, makes the game get quite dull. Once gear is acquired, you have pretty much nothing else to do, and DayZ essentially becomes a perpetual butthole clinch of "please don't kill me" as your loot value increases. I think adding more loot to the game and increasing the variety of weapons would probably prolong the dullness from setting in by about half at least. In terms of endgame goals it'd have to be something that ends your player's life/journey but does not end the game for the rest of the people playing on the server, and what that would be I have no clue.

    Clearly you have not seen the crates upon crates upon crates upon creates of surplus AKs and SKSs that exist in the world, not to mention those that are still in military stockpiles. They cranked out more of these per person then they did pairs of shoes. If you think the shotgun or hunting rifle is the most prevalent firearm in the world, you are severely mistaken. You have to remember the region of the world DayZ takes place in as well, it's a fictional post soviet state. For a period of sixty-nine years civilians were not able to own firearms, depending upon local governments, civilians have only been theoretically able to own firearms since 1991, so that'd be a period of about 21 years.

    I agree with this. However I have a different way of executing it. Instead of limiting everyone on every server around the world, modify the gun spawns, etc for each country according to how limited the people are in terms of gun laws. For example, German servers would be limited to your specifications, while a US server would have the same spawns the game has now.

    And how are you going to detect when someone is in combat or not? What you're suggesting is you die whenever you disconnect, what would be the point in playing if you can never stop once you start due to fear of death?
  19. Unfortunately no, we didn't actually see them spawning in vehicles. Thing is since there's only 3 chopper spawns on the server, it's suspicious that they had more than 3. Around 35:17 you can see a chopper in the water, and next to it leaning up against a house is a destroyed heli, as well as the one we were flying in. That accounts for all 3 of them and there was another downed one in Stary, as well as another they spawned in after I fell out and used it to shoot down my friends.
  20. I've tried any and all of the fixes, none seem to completely fix it, and the thing is they don't always work in the same way. Sometimes the changing the video memory reduces/removes it, other times it makes it much worse. This makes firefights and looting next to impossible.
