I heard they are hoping to have something out in September for DayZ standalone, it'll be following the Minecraft model. If it ports over to ArmA III(which i'm sure it won't) I'm not buying it, I only bought ArmA II for the DayZ mod. ArmA is going to lose a fuck ton of players when the DayZ standalone comes out. WarZ is going to suck, I feel bad for anyone who buys it.

I'm more concerned with the video options people can change that give them a major advantage, disabling shadows for example. I don't want to play my game on shitty video settings just so the playing field is even with other players. There needs to be some kind of minimum standard to it.

Just because it's a game doesn't mean real feelings can't be felt from it, that is the whole point of a game after all. I would feel pretty bad about going out of my way to kill someone who wasn't a threat, it gives everyone a bad feeling to die and the longer you've been playing on a life the worse the feeling is. People who spend their time killing other players just to be excited about the kill are Bullies. That's precisely what a bully is, someone who hurts others to feel better about themselves. Just because it's a game doesn't mean peoples personalities are left at the login screen, some people aren't completely pathetic humans and some are, whether it's in a game world or not. That's why DayZ is so popular.

Yeh I always scan all around the choppers as much as I can. You would probably play with us, we use teamspeak 3 and that's really the only requirement. We don't go out of our way to kill other players. You also wouldn't have to give anyone your stuff but we do share things depending on who needs what.

I've gotten rid of the M107 for a DMR. Even with my visibility maxed out I can't seem to see far enough away to be an effective sniper in DayZ. The range is like 1200m+ with the M107 but I can see maybe 6 - 800m before it's just drops off into a white fog, not actual foggy weather either. I don't remember why I was closer to them in this clip, before when we raided the airfield I was moving up the middle with one other person while a group of 4 were checking the buildings.
