NVGs and Nightvision weapon scopes should be removed but Nightvision should be kept on the rangefinder, it is a tool designed for scouting and it is also a type of binocular. It should also require batteries to use the nightvision aspect of them. -

Thermal and NVGs/ Nightvision weapons need to be removed otherwise there is no reason to add headlamps or change the way flashlights work. The who point of removing them is to improve, balance and remain true to the theme of the game, Thermal and Nightvision fail to do that. -

Just because an item is rare doesn't mean it's not overpowered and/or doesn't defeat the goal of the game. Thermal is a garbage mechanic and needs to be removed, you are near invincible once you have one and that isn't survival. It's just to much. The game is supposed to be a fight for survival, Nightvision removes pretty much all of the fight from the equation. Nightvision defeats the purpose of playing at night as well as making all of the illumination items near worthless. Nightvision coupled with the poor flashlight system detours players from wanting to play on servers that are night. I also personally think they makes the game FAR more boring, try playing at night using only flares, chemlights and flashlights or drive using only headlights. It's WAY more interesting, scary and just plain beautiful than using nightvision. Thermal and Nightvision subtract from the overall goal of the game which is fighting for survival. They make it far to easy, which is why they need to be removed. Keeping Nightvision on the rangefinder doesn't produce the same effect as NVGs or Nightvision weapons. It only adds balance for players who want to be snipers/scouts at night. Flashlights need to be changed before removing nightvision is really an option though, which is why I suggested it changes for it. We need to be able to use them with EVERY secondary weapon. A headlamp item could be added that produces a much dimmer light than the normal flashlight but could be used with all weapons. All flashlights should require batteries which could be added to pretty much every loot table. -
Non-Lethal weapons would be awesome. Being able to incapacitate but not kill other players would be a pretty awesome thing to have implemented. Rubber Bullets, Bean Bags, Tasers, Tear Gas. It would also allow friends to practice tactics together without killing eachother.

Then you move to a new server and start over. Servers should be forced to update but have a backup incase of catastrophic bugs. In the final product this won't be an issue. If a server updates then you can update to continue playing. If the server doesn't update then you don't have to update, unless you're using the shitty Six Launcher(nobody should be using it)

One character per server, All problems involving server hopping, ghosting and empty server farming... Solved. This would also help build communities within each server which makes they more fun to play on. As for Hackers, the Admins should be monitoring their servers, when they are, hackers aren't really an issue.

Reduce Blood Recovery of Cooked Meat

There needs to be a way for players to heal effectively when they're alone. Cooked Meat is the answer, It should stay the same or be increased, not lowered. I wouldn't be opposed to the amount of meat that is dropped being lowered or randomized though. Also food could cause a regeneration over time effect to restore blood but not instantly. Blood should regenerate slowly when food/drink is above a certain percentage, like 50%, food could just temporarily increase the rate that it regens and the type of food would vary the length of the regen increase. -
I should start with water purifying tablets, 2 knives, matches, flashlight, batteries, knife sharpener, paperclips, compass, magnifying glass, lighter, binoculars, string, rope, deck of cards and plenty of other things I can't remember off the top of my head. If the zombie apocalypse happened right now I would have all of them in my bag neatly packed with other supplies, my survival kit. Even if I was in a shipwreck and washed up on beach I would have all of these things and they would all be undamaged. You start on the coast in DayZ, not your house. Once hand to hand combat is introduced we won't need to worry about being helpless when we start. We also won't need to start with anything more than a Bandage.

Honest solution to all of the hacked guns.

Actually, yes they should. Lol. I think adding more guns is fine, most of the hacked guns aren't even bad, they're just like any of the other guns. Thermal needs to be completely removed and Nightvision should be completely removed from everything except the rangefinder. They should also add headlamps or give us the ability to Walk/Jog without the flashlight flailing all over. We should also be able to use our flashlights with every secondary. -
I think everything should be able to be toggled. If you don't like 3rd then don't play on a server with it. I'm changing my server to a 1st person only server right now because I've finally convinced my friends that it's better to be a badass then a carebear(1st person/third person). Third person is just easymode, especially in a shooter where other players are competition.

DMR is obviously the best. It is a 1-2 hit kill and can be used with night vision. No other sniper rifle can do both of these. -
I'm in need on an entrenching tool and neither my friends or I have been able to find one all day. I'm willing to setup a trade with someone for one. I'm also looking to trade for a satchel charge or two and tank traps. PM me with what you want for either/both.

You obviously still don't get it. You might want to actually read entire posts before replying. That's how it should be. They shouldn't be able to see you unless you give away your position, nobody should. That's the part I said is balanced. Night is supposed to be dark and frightening. Nightvision completely cancels both of those aspects out, they are easymode of nighttime play and that is what sucks the fun out of it. It also pretty much makes all other illuminating items almost completely worthless and detours players from playing at night because they don't have it. Thermal just needs to be straight up removed, it's plain stupid. Snipers can already see everything with Thermal or Nightvision + DMR. Without night vision they could only see those who give away their position or when they're working with a group that illuminates the combat area. -

What you said about the monocle is exactly what I said about the rangefinder binoculars. If people could use their flashlights while walking/jogging without them flailing all over the screen as well as being able to use every secondary weapon with them, it would solve the problem of people not wanting to play at night. Also, knowing nobody would have such a major advantage over them just because they don't have thermal or night vision. Nightvision overall just defeats the purpose of playing at night which makes playing at night a lot less exciting or interesting. It makes all of the other illuminating items pretty worthless and detours most players from playing on a night server. Thermal is just stupid. I don't even like using mine because of how easily I can own anything up to 800m
