Here is the video I made of it. Lol. I was so paranoid the entire time.

Mission Accomplished.

Crawl till you find morphine or tell me where you are, which server/location in a private message, and I will bring you some. I'm a friendly who always carries extra meds for others in need. Also I've had this exact thing happen to me before I knew what morphine was and I was in the middle of nowhere. It'd take me a while to get there though, I'm pretty far south. :(

So they left the repair parts in but removed the choppers? I think I agree with him.

Seems legit to me. I shoot anyone who shoots at anyone even if it's not me. Last night I was entering a fire station and I always announce when I'm going to, I say "I'm entering X Make yourself known or I will open fire." I usually say it multiple times. Anyway some guy didn't say anything, he was perched at the top of the stairs so I opened fire. I only go into towns at night and I have NV goggles which gives me a huge advantage. I think giving anyone fair warning makes them open game if they refuse.

Please explain why tents don't save
Psychobob replied to Endlvl's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I also have the problem with items disappear, sometimes instantly after I put them in the tent and sometimes after logging in and sometimes after returning from a savaging trip with no d/cs or logouts. The tents hardly have any items in them so overflow isn't an issue and I'm obviously not being robbed. Pretty much just gotta hope for the best until it gets fixed eventually. Lol. How about this idea for stopping players from disconnecting?
Psychobob replied to nuclearaddict's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
All they need to do is make disconnecting take 15-30 seconds. Then if someone alt-f4s, their character stays ingame for the duration. I don't want my character to be killed because my internet decides to go out or I lose power for some reason, both of which would be exactly the same as an alt-f4 disconnect. -
The ONLY Realistic Way to Prevent Deathmatching: Make DayZ a Living Hell
Psychobob replied to Time Glitch's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I would be willing to try most everything. The only things I don't really like are; -Infection in cities, I think this is just uneeded. You could simply have a chance of catching the Flu after being hit by a Zombie rather than from just being in a certain area. -Antibiotics should have a chance to spawn in residential areas. It would be a much smaller chance than a hospital but would still make sense. They could also spawn in military medical areas. -Setting Bones is a bit to much but I like the idea of a Splint. Legs and Arms can break, if your legs break you can't Walk/Jog/Sprint but taking morphine allows you to Walk/Jog on it for a short period of time. If your arm is broken you can't use your primary weapon, using morphine allows you to do so for a short time. You would need another player to apply a splint to you. -There shouldn't be any time needed for the healing or curing sickness, applying the split should be instant. Making items more rare would add the need for co-op while not causing annoyances of not being able to really play for a full day. You would either have to get someone to give you items or get them to go get the things you need if you didn't have any. -Zombies spawning naturally in the wilderness should be extremely rare. If a player shoots a gun and zombies hear it they should go to where it came from then just wander around at that location. This could cause zombies to slowly move out of populated areas just from players shooting zombies on the edge/outside of town and cities. Player Vs Player combat outside the city could also draw them out. If zombies see a vehicles they should try and chase it until it is out of sight. So if a helicopter flies over a city tons of zombies would chase it out of town for a ways before losing interest. Other than that I really like the ideas. I would be willing to try it, I would enjoy the game being more realistic and have less pointless killing. I would also add. -All items should spawn far less often, I kinda hate that currently I'm not even trying to survive anymore. I always find food and soda, I really don't ever have to use my canteen and I only hunt animals to refill my blood. I found a URAL with like 10 - 15 weapons, a plethora of ammo and supplies, sure this was probably like winning the lottery but still, it happened 3 days into my DayZ career. Please do the world a favor, go to the nearest kitchen, open the cupboard under the sink and drink everything you find. -
Maximize Frame Rate On DayZ and Arma2 - Low Frames Fix
Psychobob replied to MorninAfterKill's topic in DayZ Mod Gallery
PlayClaw 3 is a much better program for recording games, it takes advantage of multicore CPUs. I get literally no FPS loss when I record with it. I used to use Bandicam but now I only use it for recording my desktop. Fraps is just straight up garbage in comparison to both. Fraps does have the "loop buffer" option but PlayClaw does as well, making Fraps completely obsolete. Bandicam records better than Fraps but worse than PlayClaw. Bandicam can record the desktop and PlayClaw can't(it can however record a ton of different programs). As far as quality, they can all record the same quality of video so it's all about which of them does it the most efficiently. PlayClaw > Bandicam > Fraps. There are plenty of others but PlayClaw is my favorite out of the dozens I've tried. Anyway this tip in the video did help me a bit and I'm using a GTX 550Ti. -
Actually, that was "How most assholes play DayZ in about 20 seconds" I say 20 because the intro was about 10 seconds... Instant Karma

Looking for couple girls to start a group Private message me if interested.

I'm totally a perv but at least I'm not a douchbag along with it! -
Nah. I like the scale of 1:1. I play on a server where the time is the same as in real life. I do different things during the daytime, I'm able to fit my different types of gameplay perfectly into my schedule, for instance I just went to a big city to find items and it was full of PvP combat but because it was dark I was able to completely avoid it all. I NEVER go to the cities during the daytime for this exact reason. I don't want the length of either to change. I also enjoy the high level of realism in the game and making the day/night cycle faster would really ruin that.

Could this run DayZ on low settings.
Psychobob replied to TheDude8D's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I believe it would run it at least on low, likely higher. Game Minimum CPU: Intel Core 2.4GHz RAM: 1Gb of RAM. GPU: Radeon HD 3650 Computer has CPU: Intel Core i7 2.8Ghz. The CPU is good. RAM: 6Gb. RAM is clearly good. GPU: Radeon HD 4850 GPU is good, even if it was only a 512 -
So you are bored and think the game needs something endgame or new...
Psychobob replied to Survivor-Kyle's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The mod going the direction of an MMOFPS is what I think should happen. No permanent factions...nothing perfectly defined or limited. Players could play how they want. There should be a trade system so players can barter and make their own prices for everything. The PvP shouldn't ever be changed, Players shouldn't be forced to play good or evil, they should get to play how they want, whenever they want. Don't set limits. A dynamic faction system would be awesome. Plays group up and form a clan/society, then whichever server they play on they could takeover and control areas of the map and run it how they like. Other factions could push them out or just join up with them. Anyone would be free to leave whenever they want or join where ever accepted. You could just be the lone wolf and be neutral(or hostile) to everyone, Trade with all the factions and make the profit. Players could construct their own "Fallout" style structures out of scavenged materials. Players could form their own societies and follow a leader that they choose to follow. Even within the player made/run societies there shouldn't be protection from each other. Steal from your own society and get caught, you face whatever consequences the other players decide. Technically we could do most of this right now it's just difficult to implement efficiently because we have to use the forums and there are no "official" systems we can use currently. Having it all done though the game would make it much better. This is all just the tip of the iceberg for possibilities. The overall theme should be that there is no limits. Players would be able to create their own endgame content and there would be an unlimited amount. The game could also have events added to it to keep players busy but that would only be one part of the overall atmosphere. Until then I will make my own story, I look for others to help and kill anyone I feel I'm justified in doing so. -
What Ammo Boxes Look Like.
Psychobob replied to U.B.C.S. Ravin's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I wish I could get my Debug Monitor to be above my "Loudness" icon. Mine covers it and I can only assume it's my resolution, 1600x900. I've tried tweaking quite a bit to fix it but nothing has workd. -
Heli crash site loot spawns
Psychobob replied to Kyle.ver.2.0's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I looted one that had a few good weapons all around it. I left and not 60seconds later 2 other players showed up. I just laid far away with my new rifle waiting for one of them to murder the other so I could avenge it. They must have been friends :( -
You should have taken your own advice.

It's about the person's personality. I cut ties with my friend of 20 years because he started being a complete douche all the time in real life and in game. I just realized that I was above his level of maturity and that it had been going that direction for years. I didn't want to deal with it anymore. I ended it cold turkey and moved on with no regrets. The fact that it's a game doesn't change the fact that his friends act like immature little kids and he doesn't want to join them or be around it.

I agree, This is an awesome idea, play mind games with them. I think if it were me I would totally do this. I love manipulation where I feel it is justified. Lol.

1. I wouldn't be depressed as a Lone Wolf. I would be having too much fun living off the land in a completely quiet world. It seems to me that avoiding the stress of Zombies would be pretty easy outside of cities. I'm sure I could find an animal companion if my own dogs didn't make it or disappeared in the initial chaos. Also, just because they make you bleed, doesn't mean you would become one, most survivors, are survivors because they were immune to the initial infection. You also don't have unlimited stamina in-game. 2. The mod is in Alpha, that comes before Beta and WAY before final release, saying the game sucks because of bugs or mechanics is just plain fucking stupid at this point. Humans are ALWAYS the number one enemy or other humans. 3. Everything is in the process of being balanced so zombies will and won't be a threat at times, players are always a threat. 4. This one was just pure ignorance. 5. Play smarter. I've been alive and have traveled all over the map for several days, I've rarely been shot at because I out think my opponents. 6. I have plenty of fun even when I'm running through the Wilderness, I enjoy looking at the scenery and how real it all appears. I like to think about how awesome the final product will be. tl;dr: Nothing you said was helpful or intelligent. I completely wasted my time reading and replying. I also wasn't really concentrating on either.

Jordon is a fucking moron. Just ignore everything he says. HD 4850 Vs HD 6750 HD 4850 Vs HD 5770 Buying the system from eBay would guarantee protection if it didn't work, you could get your money back. You would have to be able to know if what you got in the machine was actually what they said as well. I prefer to deal with Newegg. It would be much simpler to buy the system you posted then upgrade the videocard, this would require a bit more money though. -

I'd like to join that group.

I am a lone wolf and I choose a large server because the paranoia of other humans is part of the experience. I will probably never trust anyone I don't know enough to team up with them. Other players are a much higher level of difficulty and challenge to my survival as well, which also adds to the overall fun I have.

1. Trust Nobody - Unless you know them in real life, they are a threat. Even if you help them, do not EVER trust them. Last night I was in a 2 story building and there was a guy on the 2nd floor. I asked if he was friendly and if he needed any blood(I always carry 2 bloodpacks) He said he was and that he did, he was at -4,000 so I gave him blood. I told him where a weapon was that I had seen before entering the building, I asked him to please sit in a room while I made my way to the exit. I left without an incident. 1.5. NEVER give anyone a weapon - Either tell them where one can be found or do nothing, even if they are unarmed(In this case you could help them search for one and leave before they acquire it). 2. Never Take Chances - Taking the long way in cover is always better than chancing the short run in an open field or street. Think before every action you make. It's saved my life plenty of times. I realize that helping another player is always taking a chance, which is why I created rule #4. 3. Patience - If you're trapped, wait them out. They will leave or try to rush you(which gives you the advantage) I once sat in a house with the closed door and windows within my view for 20 minutes after being shot at, the guy finally came to the window for a peek and I killed him. I was trying to communicate with voice and text the entire time and he said nothing. If a person or group is raiding an area, come back later. If you're in immediate danger(Bleeding out, Starving, dying of thist) Use rules #5 and make your supply run as quick as possible, Don't do anything to alert the other players. 4. Create the Advantage. - If you know another player is nearby, wait for them to be inside a building before attempting contact. If there is very little or no cover, refer to rule #2. 5. Always Be Situationally Aware - Listen for Distant Gunshots, Be aware of dead Zombies, Scout locations before you approach, Periodically check you six. Know where the buildings exits are. Check tall structures for players. 6. If they don't use Voice/Text Chat - Assume an immediate threat. I killed a player today who was in a barracks. I asked him plenty of times with voice and chat if he needed anything. He said nothing. I then proceeded to use rule #4. He came outside and had no cover, I was around the corner, again I said "I'm friendly, Do you need anything, I have bloodpacks" I peeked and didn't fire, he fired, I fired, he died. I didn't want to attempt moving away as there was very little cover and he wasn't communicating.(Rule #2 again) 7. Avoid Traveling in Open Areas - Never run directly on the streets when traveling anywhere, outside of town, use the treeline or bushes. In town, run corner to corner. Always go around fields, never through them. Crouch/Prone when on rooftops. I've created these as I've played DayZ (I got it a few days days ago). My current save has been alive for 2 days now because of following them and i have no friends currently playing. The guy in the story broke rule 1 and it got him killed. I'm not gonna be a shitty murderer but I'm not going to be a victim to one either. I will always avoid other players unless I know I have the advantage and I will always create an advantage where there isn't one.
