Wow this thread is full of shit! Op to answer your question, I think although it may not be perfect (in my mind, then again no game ever will be) it will be worth playing. As long as it is open ended. A true sandbox. Harsh! I will be happy. Now back to the shit storming. Okay people Rocket has stated "realistic" was a poor choice of words. He has since refined it to "believable" & "authentic". If you don't like what he has created here go elsewhere. We won't think any less of you... I promise! No game will ever be perfect, even if you designed your dream game. Something's are not possible to achieve, perfection in one of them. DayZ is a game designed to be different, it did that well. I for one am grateful to have the opportunity to play something deliberately made not to be for the masses. I am glad both BIS & Rocket don't seem to be for the status quo, but for the niche. We (those who enjoy DayZ) have found a game for us. Yes we all can find something that disappoints us, but as a whole we are not. If you are, then go!

I find mocking the rewarding, but raining down some HE rounds at them or ratatatating them with a LMG is much more satisfying! Of course getting to know the admin of your server is a good idea! That way they know your character and won't dish out a harsh punishment. I tend to think most would rather err on the side of caution, instead of letting an alleged cheater run free. Besides they make fun targets (admins) if you know what they look like! :D

If he has a forum or e-mail, contact him. If he is/was being a douche... come back and let us know. I view it as a bad admin will sooner or later end up with a dead server. I just wish there was a rating on these forums for servers. (If there is color me stupid) ;) This way the community could black list abusive server admins and their servers. (of course if they have a valid point for banning and someone is crying foul... we could deal with those also)

I still get a thrill from this mod. I just hope in the SA there are plenty of ways to affect the world around me. More stuff to tinker with the more I'll enjoy myself. On my (soon to be EX) regular public hive server, we have tents everywhere filled to the brim with "end game" gear! Since we all seem to play on private hives a majority of the time, it has become very simple to find gear. I honestly don't care about that stuff, but if you stumbled across one of those tents... you'd probably think DUPERS!! The admin is shutting the sever down tomorrow, because of the lack of players. (He also plays on private hive server I play on lol) Although it does sound like you found duped tents, if the server is dead, it maybe just a group of guys carebearing it up! ( yeah I am guilty, what can I say? I sometimes like just to run around and prance in the zombie filled fields of flowers and happy thoughts)

If you look at Walker's past posts you can judge for yourself the character he has. I wouldn't put much stock into what he says, his motives are suspect. I am curious what he suggests to fix alt- f4'ing or any of the problems we have with the mod? (without needing to alter the source code of arma or BE)
