Yep same here. Steam started updating Arma 2 + Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. Then after that i couldn't join a single game.

Yup the ammount of time is debatable. i think 1 min would indeed be better then 3. that way you couldn't even really loot everything before getting punished. but the main reason is so that you fix both problems. and have a procedual punish ONLY for the people who abuse the games exploits. and not PUNISH those who play FAIR. :) And still remain Effective <- forgot to add that. because the other idea doesnt sound effective to me.

Simple Refined solution to disconnect abusers: Disconnect waiting timer that ONLY applies if you are in the game for longer then 3 min and Freezes character in place in standing pose. + Punish people who force quit ALT+F4 by increasing the timer. FIXED: - Change servers that do not meet your requirement if you change within 3 min. (no penalties given) FIXED: - Players to disconnect when they are being fired upon. (either puts them in the timer. or if they alt+F4 it adds to there penalty list + keeps the player there in the game for the shooter to kill and loot) Why make a punishment rule for disconnecting if combat disconnecting is the least used reason for disconnect at this moment with all the bugs etc? As for loot cycling: - Can be done without disconnecting anyways. As for position changers: - This feature would build up there timer into a point where they couldnt flank you anymore. There... Fixed.

I did. and the complaint is that you get punished for disconnecting "in general". not for avoiding death. like i said. for those who do not disconnect from being shot at. they will be punishd for disconnecting because of server issues and server not being the correct time etc. which is something that occurs way more then disconnecting from being shot at.

Question related to Disconnect Punishment: - How is this really applied? Because in a day of DayZ. You find yourself not that much being in active combat against players. Or in any moment where you (as a cheater imo) disconnect when getting shot. The reason im saying this is. That realisticly i switch servers more then that i get into combat with people because of servers being either laggy buggy or night time or whatever. Its for this reason that i think a timeout on disconnecting would work way better. dont you agree?

Nobody is saying that rules should be changed because of some peoples single ideas to why it should change. But everyone should have the right to share the reason to why they. do . or do not like the idea. Then why are you making use of the freedom of giving opinion on updates yourself in this forum? How does that effect us? : Respawning takes a bit longer. maybe 1-3 minutes to find a zombie to kill you. So what rating do i give : Small change not much impact on game. What does it get in return : INSANE ammount of complains and drama. What is being done : Disconnections are being tracked. What was said in interview : That they would do this and that it would give people who abuse it a small wait timer before joining and a warning in chat. How does that effect us? : Not much. What was said in interview : That they would improve game stability etc. How does that effect us? : Probably smoother login and less problems with character loss. Also.. Zombie updates?? Interviews are full with things like. We are greatly improving the zombie performance. zombie is a very big focus. etc. zombie animations. zombie speeds. zombie movement. is there any of that gonna be in this update? :) just asking ;)

There is a way you can get out of it :) I dont recall perfectly but i think constantly walking south-east will get you back to the normal land XD But yeah if you dont have a compass that might kinda suck xD Still with a watch you could still find out your direction. And by looking at the starts but that one is kinda difficult. As i am typing this ofcourse i understand the stupidity of it all. dont see why there is just simply a 30 sec timer. Comments like: Omg what if i switch servers this and that. seriously? how many servers do you hop then? I can only see you doing that so that you can get a fresh loot right away. If you wanna "light cheat" just learn how to really cheat and get your gear right away instead of wasting your time server hopping if you are not looking to playing a game geniunly anyways.

Why is nobody asking about the zombies that have been mentioned over and over in interviews? Have you been able to improve them as of now? Or are there unforseen problems that might make them not any different in this patch apart from hearing.

Yep i agree that its in a pretty bad state right now. But i think we just have to wait and see what the next patch brings. Because to be honest i dont think there is much Relevant data to gather at the moment. even though they mention the awsome data storing. I think most of it is filled with noise data with all the bugs and unrealistic things happening with weapon duping and cheaters etc. Thats probably why they havnt brought out small patches etc. because i think they want to have there mechanics SOLIDIFIED first so that they can start gathering some really good data.
