However, there are many others who chose to serve as a medic and are just waiting for an opportunity to make a name for themselves. You might consider giving them a chance too. In DayZ, as a basic rule, you are absolutely right to question the intention of every single unknown person contacting you. Best way to see if someone is "legit" is to get some background info about that contact. For example, you could check that person's post history on this forum. If he/she helped a lot of other players before, then you are probably in good hands. Hasn't happened here yet afaik. Reddit Rescue Force has reported a few casualties due to that kind of trick requests recently, though. I don't know if RMG personnel has been in such situations, as they are usually pretty secretive about their operations. But I can't imagine someone messing with those guys. They are like the Blackwater of DayZ medic services! B) As Kyle said, to ensure his own safety, a lone medic should always be the one pulling the strings of his rescue attempt. If you, as the patient, won't comply, then we reserve the right to reject your case. Simple as that. /edit: I accidentally some words there...

Ah, good times, especially with the sudden weather change when we were in the middle of Zelenogorsk. I can't remember the last time I was as happy about rain! Gotta love the new sound-damping effect. No one in his right mind would stay in that tower longer than a minute though, or even use the tower as a lookout. It's just way too easy to be spotted in there. Btw, are there no more emergencies right now? No one needs morphine, tranfusions or something else? All good? Just wanted to check if there's anything to do here before Merino comes back and swoops all clients again. ;)

If someone asks me for help' date=' I make them post in here first. Reading some of his/her previous posts helps me to get an impression of my new client. If they have just registered for the call for help, then I do what Merinos does (talk to them via steam). There's no difference between treating bandits or survivors. Both parties are equally grateful for getting help. Although I've got to admit, I'm a lot more relieved when I finish a bandit's treatment and get away unscathed. And it's not the bandit patient itself I fear (all fine as long as they comply with basic safety measures as facing a wall, putting weapon away, etc), it's his/her potential buddies lurking behind the next treeline that worry me most. I guess it's just the usual paranoia... I got my fingers burnt on NW airfield once, too. Won't happen again.

A big tip of my hat to bumble over at RMG. Not only did he respond amazingly quick when I finally found some time to take care of my badly wounded character, he also ventured out on a long trip (must have been some km) towards the far end of the infamous vybor-sobor line, gave me much needed morphine, helped me getting back from 650 to full blood without transfusions and, last but not least, gave me some medical supplies to get back in business. Now I can finally go out and help others again. If the situation ever arises, I will gladly return the favor.

Fellow medic needs assistance, badly. For now, I found shelter in a small industrial complex near vybor (the one with the chimney, east exit) but I'm down to 650 blood and no morphine to treat that immobilizing pain in my leg. /has been taken care of. thanks bumble

Yes, they should. That's what makes every single zombie encounter so unpredictable, and thus intense, no matter how experienced or well equipped you are. Nothing to fix here imho.

I'd like to become part of the whitelist. Since most calls for help are expected to come out of northwest region of chernarus (no hospitals there to get medical supplies from), I chose that area to be my primary area of operations. So, if you are anywhere north of cherno, west of sobor, and - of course - in dire need of help, post in this thread and let me know via PM. Also, being a beacon of humanity, how come this thread isn't stickied?
