Mmmk, i dont agree to much on giving benefits to players that are maybe just playing a bit more. But construction is good, and has been already talked about by Rocket.

Sorry i did realise how badly worded that was. I did mean that my friends got hacked into the thunderdome, they didn't use the script themselves. They got teleported, and as all normal people would, reacted by instantly logging out. Upon relogging in a different server they found themselves still there. One of them thought it would be good to just leave with nothing, the other left with the few utilities i mentioned. EDIT: Oh and i meant we got hacked by the moon hack. Teleported into mid-air kilometres above the western forest of Zelenogorsk.

i love how funny the vehicle physics can be in this game. Passengers see everything different to the driver. Heck, ANYONE not driving sees things funny. Like when i got run over by a car swerving off the road to get past my blockade car, and then i got flung 500m down the road aha.- 1 reply

Thunderdome hack, y u be so old. A few of my friends got this, pretty much just used it to get themselves some NVG's, a GPS and a compass off spawn, maybe a weapon, and come meet up with me. Its kind of an annoying hack, but to fresh spawns it may be some relief. I recently got the "Moon hack". Hadn't seen that before, lucky theres a disconnect feature so i didn't plummet to my death.

You state we dont look into it. But you haven't looked into that the NEXT PATCH will fix what changed in the last Beta build and DayZ update. To all those saying Alpha is about bug fixing, i beg you to reconsider. Alpha is where the game is still being built. Obviously bugs that are game-breaking NEED to be addressed, and they have been. Duping guns and ammo is a bug that is being looked into to do with Tent duping, but really, its not game breaking. Do my guns work? Can i still shoot zombies/players? Than it is not game breaking. Annoying? Yes, but in Alpha it holds no priority over TEST, TEST, TEST. Features being added in and removed is exactly what Alpha is. Standalone Beta will be where major fixes start happening to the modified ArmA3 Engine. Please stop making "Y U NO FIX" threads.

If they are made to not open doors, they will be made to be able to bash them down. You are not in a safe zone in a building. -

Please read my post properly. I clearly stated that this would be an "upon-death" scoreboard. I don't agree in the 'debug-monitor', but i don't think its permanent, just read its name. However i know i'd love to be able to screenshot the death screen saying i blood bagged 8 survivors in that hour long life. It adds to the RP, and doesn't allow people to have a "high-score" counter while alive.

You did not pay for this mod. You paid for ArmA2, which is a fine game. This mod is in alpha, it is building to achieve what it advertises. Simple fix for now, don't get attached, play for fun, if you lose stuff due to servers, move on, and have more fun. Test, test, test. Don't complain about "false" promises to a mod that hasn't even become a standalone Beta game yet. -
General idea for instanced player housing/camps

Very lengthy and well thought out read. I'll be sure to bookmark this and read over your comments again. From the small section of the OP i had time to read, i definitely agree on how fine a line there is in making these instanced bases more friendly to offensive/defensive situations. I do like the idea of stumbling across camps that are "deserted" as the player is logged out. But with a whole underground instance it may be more annoying losing your stuff to raiders everytime your offline. I know its the annoying thing to come back to find your tent empty, and vehicles gone because you were out all weekend. Right now we just have to put up with it, but i would love to see SOME form of balancing in the sense that defenders have a POSSIBILITY to help their stash, and defend their land. + 1 Beans for a post that wasn't just a "y u no" post. -
Please know this. Most of the problems you stated are to do with the engine Rocket works on, RV. Bohemia has rights to this, and owns it, not Rocket. Until this game gets the "Good-to-Go" on working with BI's engine (which will be the ArmA3 engine), none of these will be addressed. As for you complaining about features being added before problems being addressed, i will state the cliche line. "Alpha Bro". Alpha is a game developing state where all you do, really, is add features, find what works/what doesn't, and finish the idea behind the game. Beta is where you address bugs, fix small issues, balance guns, and all that. While in Alpha, adding as much features and ideas to see what works is the best way to develop a game. You all want something in the game, and it gets added in. It works or it doesn't, it creates more bugs to be fixed in Beta. The only bugs that will be addressed in Alpha are game-breaking bugs. Such a thing is the artifacts, which as of the patch notes, are getting fixed in the next build. There a few "annoyance" bugs, such as breaking legs with doors, zombie clipping and such. Most of these are the result of the engine trying to do something that it was not built for. TL;DR Have patience my friend. Once the game becomes a standalone Beta, these problems will all be high priorities. For now, features, features, FEATURES.

Its Virtual Reality, you have a little headset/goggles style thing on, that replaces your computer monitor. You play the game by looking through that, instead of looking AT your computer screen. It would ruin third person imo.

Would be cool, but expensive for now. This product is really just showing its possible. It will be a year or more before its releasable in an affordable package, and worked into any of the engines we use currently. And then it will most likely have issues. I still don't know how much i want this virtual reality stuff, would want to try it out before dropping lots of money on it.

Thats penalising bandits. This system seems to be showing that Bandits can come in and ruin survivors safe-haven, which is what they ALWAYS seem to want to do. They kill for their benefit or protection. This system would kill for their benefit, and would cause Bandits to be more of an actual Bandit, by destroying more of a society. -
I don't think you thought that through. I go to my camp in Chernarus, log out. Log into a different server, with a different map. Where is the character data stored to locate me? It would have my X,Y coordinates from Chernarus. Now a badly programmed game or mod would just spawn me in those coordinates, which would cause a LOT of debug spawns, corrupted data and such. Not to mention your not EXACTLY sure where you will spawn, its a different map, you will be in a completely different area. And it allows abuse of using certain maps (that may have more cities, higher density of looting areas etc.) to get easy loot, hop over to Chernarus where your out in the wild, and survive. IF the game ever has multiple maps at the same time, im almost certain the solution would be multiple characters. And that is not gonna come anytime soon, as the central server would need to be a lot more powerful.

Bikes are already in. Making them as common as you say will just nullify running entirely. Paddle Boats or Row Boats i don't mind the idea of, though once again, they should not be as common as you suggest. If you have played for 80 hours and not encountered a single vehicle you obviously aren't looking in the right places. Heck i see flipped ATV's, buses, and sedans like 1 in 10 times i fresh spawn and head into elektro or cherno. Theres hotspot spawns all over the coast, and plenty inland as well. If you have played on the same server for all that time and not found vehicles, i suggest that they may have been hoarded, and you should go hunting for the camp! More common vehicles will make them less valuable, and a lot more gimmicky and create a lot more "lets go run people over in Cherno" moments. However extra modes of water travel would be nice... surfboards anyone? Tip: Go research Vehicle Maps online, theres plenty that have laid out the possible spawns for lots of different vehicles. Maybe do some raids with your friends and search these areas on multiple servers. I guarantee if you search hard enough in the right places, and try around on the servers, you will run into a vehicle in < 5 hours game time. Me and my gang do this everytime we get wiped or lose our vehicles.

Hackers can and will be prevented. Read the patch notes, and some interviews. Rocket is fixing them, they will only be completely fixed once the game goes standalone and gets access to the engine and source. Please learn this, and don't attack suggestions when you don't have the knowledge. -

It was being exploited causing more spawns near the cities to cause more of a deathmatch. Not to mention its a bit of a godsend to servers, heard its reduced load a lot, and ive seen the lag improvements/

Where is there no authenticity in this? Think about it. If you were holding a large rifle, your hands are busy, and you need mobility to be able to work your gun. If you have no primary weapon, your hands/chest/arms are available for holding onto a larger pack or something of the sort. Even if it means carrying around a "sack" or "box" to make it not just another backpack strapped onto the front of you (which is authentic as well). This is entirely real world-plausible, and is not just some game trade-off. If your holding a gun, you need the space, if not, it can be efficiently used to store more items. -

Id love to see that idea :) You should also be able to spawn as a messanger, you cant carry items or weapons, and can only speak on direct. You can not be killed. Aha :D *DONT SHOOT THE MESSANGER!* -
Stop making stupid posts whining about suggestions. Its alpha, its an open forum, with a suggestions sections. Let people have their ideas, and make their suggestions. If you disagree, comment saying it in a normal manner, and provide feedback, dont just go "NO YOU NOOB" If its a bad idea, people will let them know, and the thread will die. If its good, keep it bumped, so more people can see it. /thread.
