A friend of mine made it to the hill just south of Krasnostov with only 28 blood, coming from Bereznio. He came across a bandit and made it out of the fight alive....barely. It's not fair, But as I've found in other games, some admins are assholes - acknowledge and move on. Here good sir, have some :beans: it'll make you feel better.

This is really nothing new. I've had a few games trip my AV before. In fact, I think some even tell you to disable it while installing to prevent the AV program from accidentally interfering with a legit program. Either way, I'm not a huge fan of software based firewalls. I'll take a hardware one over Norton anyday. But that's just me.

Which is fine, I get it, he's upset. But he just went a little off the deep end with the drama. A full back up, restored, and he wouldn't have to re-download anything. I make it a habit to do a full backup after any major installs/uninstalls on my PC.

So I typed in the combo of M1911 and hit enter on my Keyboard. OMFG YOU GUYS!!! If you put in characters, the forum will automagically bring up previous postings with that word. You know what, It just happened to me where I work. Someone asked me how to spell a word, I spelled out "Dictionary" for them and they got pissed at me. Hell, you can even go online and just type the fucking word into google and it's good enough. Just trying to teach people how to fish, instead of giving them one. This is also why I get shot in the back in this game. ;)

This! I tend to make a "lot" of noise killing Z's and firing my gun. I'm hoping most people will think twice about entering. And if they do, so be it. I'm not attached to my gear.

There's a search function? This is news to me....oh wait. Yeah yeah, I realize I could have just used the search function to find another one just like this, but I was being lazy. Fucking obnoxious...isn't it?

People definitely hit Berezino. Myself and a few friends head in often for supplies and I usually have a fun time picking off the infected there. Generally you're going to run into better geared folks there so I don't think it's all "that" safe, but I also don't think it's the hotbed of activity that is Stary Sobor and the NW airfield. I always hit Berezino on my way to the NE airfield. Usually I make a nice circuit starting south, working my way east, then I head north up the coast, and finally back west towards Devil's Castle and the NW airfield. I have seen a few survivors in the area, but it's not like Cherno or Elektro, that's for sure.

you're going from Stary Sobor to the NW Airfield? Good luck man, you're in the hot zone and you'll be pretty lucky to get out alive.

for me, it's gotten so easy to get what I need that I find myself doing full sprints through towns like Berezino to try and collect as many infected as I can, then I line em up in a building and mow em down. I'm not even worried about other players shooting at me. Finding loot all over again makes the game fun. I also enjoy trying to lose the infected by zig zagging in trees. You learn how to make your own fun in this game or it gets old real fast. I think now, I'm going to see how high I can get my Infected kills and try to be the #1 slot on most servers I play on.

I don't know where the stuff spawns. I'd assume military stuff will spawn on Helicopters and at military bases, then again, I found my camo outfit in a residential Medium yield building in Berezino...so I guess it's 100% completely random.

I'm trying my best not to do this. I ran into a guy in Elektro the other day who gave up his shotgun and ammo for me as he saw that I was unarmed. I was amazed that this was happening, and I could just imagine that he was waiting for me to shoot him in the back. Instead I dropped 2 bags of blood for him and some morphine. I quickly walked the other way though. I was thankful for it, but didn't want to take any unnecessary chances with my virtual life. I'm really trying my best to uphold the "Shoot only when shot at" motto. Last night I was on a bike cruising around the NE airfield and ran into a team that had a car. So I thought I'd have some fun with them. I did circles around the base as they looted. Then, they came after me. Thankfully I was being cautious and keeping my distance from them, because a few moments later I heard a shot close by. I figured they were after me. So I got on the bike and headed for a decent vantage point. Sadly, I never saw them again, but I definitely would have shot back had I been in a better spot. I'm sure they wanted to keep their car, and I'm sure they also saw the shiny DMR on my back.

Honestly, I'm fine with it as is. If this is a simulation, people shouldn't have the luxury of being killed and then being allowed to run back to regear at their tent. If this is the case, I want this option when I die IRL. I'll stash all my cool stuff in a storage shed, and when I die, I want to respawn and reclaim my stuff....then again, if I rez on a beach, who the hell cares about the stuff. ;)

This is why I perform complete backups of my computer on a regular basis...to prevent catastrophic failure. Sorry man, a little preparation goes a long way... And it's not conclusion. 2 people out of hundreds of thousands is a coincidence. Perhaps there is something to it, but until more people have the same issues, it's coincidental at best. I'm not quite sure how your computer is ruined. Seems to me like only your OS install was pooched. So tell me, how exactly is your hardware borked preventing you from re-installing it back to a state when you once had it? To me that's not exactly "ruined" it's an inconvenience. Drama queen much?

We can't repel firepower of that magnitude.
