It's like you're new to the internet or something. You think this stuff is bad? You should see the forums for Diablo 3, the forums during release week of The Old Republic, or just visit the WoW forums when MOP comes out. You want to talk about some serious entitlement issues, you'll be amazed at the stuff you see there. I think DayZ's forums have been somewhat mild to what I've seen elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, we have that here, I just don't think it's at the level of some of the other places.

I must be a rare find then. Last night I was at the military camp in Bereznio, heard gun shots so I started scoping out the town. I figured they were coming from the northern most store. A little while later I see a survivor running through the area, north of the military tents, with a horde of followers. So, what do I do? I pop up out of the bush and start taking pot shots, with my rifle, as the infected that are chasing him. He runs over towards me and I pull out the G17 and fire at a few more. Now I've got 3 on me and he has none on him. Being fully aware that I am now a high value target with an M24 and a Ghillie suit, I gather up as many of the infected that I can, and I run the opposite way from the survivor. I know, it's amazing. You can totally help someone out, WITHOUT having to fully put your trust in their hands. I gave him a 100% clear path to loot the medical tents with no infected in site. (because they were all on me) I easily ditched them on the coast and was far enough away from the survivor.

When I make my posts and say things like this it has absolutely nothing to do with what you mentioned. I experienced it for the first time last night. Got randomly teleported to the NW airfield with everyone else. I was able to DC and get out with my life as soon as it happened. I count myself lucky on that one. I never deny that it exists, as I've seen it in other games, and yes it is a huge problem in this game. But in all honestly, sitting here pissing and moaning about it isn't helping anything. It's not like for every post we make about it the devs get a shock or anything. I'm sure they know about it and it's not an issue with DayZ, but rather the BattleEye anti-cheat client. So....what's the solution then? Get another anti-cheat? Yell at BattleEye to fix it? No matter what the solution is, it's not something that can be done overnight. All in all, I agree with Deviant, this seems like more of a "Raise awareness" event every time these get posted. I'll leave you with a comment an old friend of mine used to say: You're pissed off with an issue, great, now what are you going to do to change it? Because that's the honest way it works. You can either sit and wait, pissing and moaning, or you can try and do something to change the situation.

I generally only shoot if I'm being shot at first, or if I'm at the NW airfield, because honestly, up there you can't trust anyone. Otherwise, I generally do my best to run the other way. I don't care what kinda of gear they have. Example, I was driving a bus last night, was getting sniper fire near the coast, so instead of getting out and looking for it or trying to combat it, I just headed north.

I don't scout long simply because I'm aware that at any second, while I'm at that location, someone could log in right behind me. Thus making my entire scouting completely worthless. I give the area a look over, move up, look over, move up, etc etc.. Then I'm constantly looking around me for others. I generally know where other buildings are that I can enter, so if I suspect someone is near, I run out, full speed, zombies in tow. Figure if there are more objects, that the bandit has to look at, it makes it somewhat harder for him.

Sucks when it catches up to you, doesn't it. :( None the less, good story. It wasn't "quite" the wall of text some people put up, but adding some paragraphs will definitely help you from getting flamed by the trolls. Have some :beans: good chap!

I agree, I'm just kind of under the impression, buy some of the posts, that people are getting the idea that they will have lots of goodies, besides the agree'd upon trade, on location. I mean, I guess if you want to look at looting the bodies of the snipers and scouts a plus, that's something as well. I just don't know that they'd have much of value on them.

You guys seem to be missing something, there will be nothing of value on that site. Only once the trade is happening will there be anything of value. If I remember correctly, he said items would be brought to the store, ONLY after a trade was agree'd upon. So it's not like this place is going to be a stash heaven. The only other reason to take it out is for the murders, which I think is fine. It is a sandbox after all, and I say let em play in it how they want, just so long as they're not hacking.

100% agree with you good sir. Have some :beans: I'd really like to see more packs of the infected and less of their super "flash" style speed when they see you. I think they should be very easy to lose, however if there are enough of them in packs, it'd be harder to evade one pack without alerting another pack. I think this would lead to being cornered much more. The threat will still be other players, especially if you start capping the horde.

Not sure exactly what some of you would plan to raid? If they're not keeping stuff at the store, you'd almost have to follow the men bringing things to the store and heading back to camp, and THEN do the raid.

So yeah, last night I was on US1102 raiding Stary Sobor and I found car. Looks like all it was missing was a few tires. So I headed north to search for supplies. I start walking through the field, and I notice what looks like a bus. I walk over to it, fully expecting to get sniped, but low and behold nothing happens to me. I hop in the driver's seat and notice that the bus is fully repaired and has 3/4 of a tank of gas. So, whoever you are, thanks for the bus! I'm not sure who left it in the middle of a field, but I sure did appreciate it. Ran all over the map all night last night with it. While it's not the best vehicle for driving, it was a lot of fun since it's only the 2nd vehicle I've ever found. To those unlucky folks who can't find vehicles, it guess it's all about being in the right place at the right time. Now we'll see how long I can keep this thing before I get sniped. ;)

Awesome! I don't expect to keep the bus, not by a long shot. I tried my best to keep it hidden until I log in again, but I know full well those things stick out like a sore thumb. Thankfully I remember the rules of the game and I'm not attached to it, but damn it was fun driving around. If you are indeed on the same server, I guess I'll have to watch my back. :D

It definitely draws aggro. I was in Stary Sobor in the giant warehouse. I went up to the top of the steps and fired at a Z to see how many would come running. I didn't realize that the steps going out the back would be littered with 25-30 bodies... It was fun actually. I ran full blast all the way to the grocery store and did it again. The entire time I was there, I never took any enemy fire. In fact, I never even saw another survivor.
