    There are guns/ammo in civilian houses. You just haven't looked in enough houses. Although if you are looking for higher grade military stuff, you won't find them in civilian houses. It's just common sense.

    LoL, how's my way a coward way out? The way I see it when you are captured and humiliated and you still comply and hope they'd set your miserable life free. That's being a coward. Unless, you like being cuffed by a bunch of dudes and feed you weird stuff. I don't know what kind of stuff turns you on man.

    SO? If all of your friends want to play on hardcore servers and only you want to play on softcore servers. Then what? You would probably compromise and play with them on hardcore. If half of your friends want to play on hardcore and half want to play on softcore, then you will likely split into 2 groups. That's what I mean by slitting player base. Battlefield series did this Hardcore and Softcore after Battlefield 2, just to cater the casual players. I didn't like it one bit.

    My topic argues that separating servers won't solve the 3dp problem and suggests to improve 3dp. This post is talking about removing 3dp completely. Are these the same topic? I don't think so.

    FPV only servers don't solve the TPV problem. Quarantining a problem doesn't mean you solved it. Making FPV only servers only separates the player base.

    I'm just wondering if the cooking system is working at all. I currently have rice,matches, gas stove and gas, still missing a pot. (Haven't seen one since I left the coast).

    Damn, I would imagine the steps to be: - combine rice and pot - fill pot with water - combine gas and stove - set gas stove on the ground - light gas stove with matches - put pot on your hand - put pot on the stove - wait -??? -Profit! If you tried all that and it still doesn't work, I guess cooking is still not in the game yet.

    Don't fill your stomach with only water, since you need water and food to be both high to regen. Try drink 10 times then eat 10 times, rinse and repeat until you see the message of getting full. That's what I'm going to try at least.

    I never saw "regeneration" in my inv. Do you have a screenshot? From what I understand, "stomach fullness" is a different thing than food/drink value, so even if you fill your stomach with water, you might still be hungry if your food value is low.

    I don't think the TPS is ever going to go away. Might as well find a way to improve it(by improving I mean to limit its exploitative nature) instead of hoping they will remove it.

    Can opener will leave your canned food at 100%. If you open with other tools there will be different percentage of spillage. (you will only get certain x% of the content)

    It's a common issue not just in DayZ but in a lot of games. And for the 1000000000000th time I don't have that issue with my friends currently in DayZ. It was a hypothetical situation.

    Did you even read my OP? Not everyone plays as a lone wolf, so as long as they play with friends, they will always need to compromise, or their friends need to compromise. That's how the player base will get separated.

    What I'm saying is that having FPV-only servers isn't the solution for limiting TPV exploitation. Settings like this should be kept uniform across all servers or it separates the player base. No one is forcing anyone to play the game in a certain way, but a lot of people feel that TPV is way too exploitative, and separating servers isn't a real solution, but making TPV less exploitative is. That's all I'm saying. The scenario of me and my friends wanting different "modes" is just a hypothesis. It basically describes how a lot of people just can't choose a type of server they want to play in due to friend relation and etc.
