I'm new to the game also. I've been playing for about two weeks now, and what I've learned from experience is that friendliness only happens to me when in a starting town. Either they are newly spawned like me, or they have the gun advantage, so either way I'm not really seen as a threat to them. Once I'm away from the coast I either avoid people I see, or kill them.

What about shooting non SD rounds from an SD gun? What effect would happen from doing that?

What is so special about women and children in a zombie apocalypse? I would be an equal opportunity shooter. I would think women will be just as ruthless as guys if there is a zombie apocalypse. Chivalry has died in the Middle Ages for me.

I'm new to Dayz. I've been playing for a little over a week, and from what I've read and watched prior to playing, most players shot zombies in the head, so that is what I have been doing from the beginning for me. The changes to the weapons are not really bothersome for me because I've always been aiming for the head when I shoot.

Why don't you guys who complain about getting kicked make a server with your own rules? If people want to put limits on their server that they paid for, and continue to pay for, it is their right. You don't like that the rules they have? Then why not find another server that will accept you if you will not pay to host a server?

A couple times I have been unable to stop moving forward even after I stop pressing the w key. I try pressing the s key but I just stop until I release the s key. Only happened a couple times, but does anyone know what causes that?

If I'm in a starting town, and I just spawned I'll be friendly. If I'm away from the coast I avoid people, or shoot them if I have to or need to. I'm too paranoid when I leave town to be friendly, unless they are friendly first.

I bought Arma II for Dayz almost a week ago, and I am still enjoying the game. I've read and watched hints and guides for the game prior to playing it, and it is helpful for me. I even played Arma II multiplayer a couple days, and it was fun, however, I enjoy Dayz much more. I have hated and still hate getting killed by players and zombies when I run around town getting supplies after spawning, but I still like playing the game. Dayz has got me more focused and intense playing it then I have been over any other game in a few years. I enjoy the game because of how it makes me pay attention, and gets me involved.

My first gun was a makarov.

Seems like it is just trolls who do it because I see it happening on more servers. I usually just server hop until I find one without barbed wire, however, it is taking longer to find servers that don't have a shit ton of barbed wire. The trolls seem to be multiplying.
