Im currently really liking Lingor. I love that there are so many more enterable (sp) buildings and that the servers (in general) seems to more friendly and less hacked than the Chenaurus servers. Tried Takistan and it may be just due to my spawn point, but it was sooooo boring....just seemed the same everywhere I looked!! And Utes is just shit tbh.

I know this isnt strictly speaking the right place to put this, but hey.... When I open one of the maps on DayzDB (either Chenaurus or Lingor) I dont seem to be able to drag it around anymore. I can zoom, and if I go in the sidebar it moves around, but not if I click and drag. Anyone got any ideas??

Currently running Chrome at home, but I did try it briefly in IE8 (or whatever comes with win7), and it did the same. Updated Java, but I'll try the 'delete log files' do-hickey as well. Failing that, I'll delete chrome and re-install. Thanks for the help chaps.

Not entirely true....you can still run Steam in the background even if you didnt buy ARMA through Steam......

So I got my 28 day old character killed and inevitably respawned 500 miles from my decaying body. Hey-ho, I go on a Cherno shopping spree collecting everything I need to continue my life of "player avoidance" in the woods. everything that is, except a box of matches. No point in having raw meat if I cant light the fire to cook it! So I decide to hit as many Tesco Express supermarkets as I can, and head off North through Zelengorsk, Putoshka and finally Vybor. Still no matches. While Im up here, I figure I may as well take a quick razz through the NW airfield and see whats lying around. Sadly, it was so glitchy I couldnt see the wood for the trees, so I head East hoping that Grishino might help in the match department, but again, no joy. Whilst making my way to the deer stand East of Grishino, I spy something Ive never seen in DayZ.....a Heli crash!! Im getting all excited now, Ive seen the video's of all the nice loot and read storys of all the best gear at heli sites, but never actually seen one. Sneaking over, theres not a lot of stuff there, but I do get a silenced Bizon (never heard of it, but it looked good so I grabbed it. Sadly, Ive subsequently discovered its shit!!) But no matches. Im down to 4000 blood now and beggining to get a bit worried! Legging it away to the deerstand for a quick looksee, I see something in the distance.....can it be....have I run round in a circle?? Another heli crash WTF!! No messing with infected this time.....I run straight in, scan the area, no matches but bugger me if I dont go and find an M107!! Man alive, this is mad.......JUST GIMME SOME FRIKKIN MATCHES!!!! Is there any other way of starting a fire (Im thinking flares or something??) or am I doomed to a life of unedible red meat??

Ive only ever killed one person, and that was a mistake really... I was at the NW airfield at night, it was raining and I was in the se barracks. Found my first ever pair of NVG's in the last room. I put them on and me and my 10yr old daughter (she was watching me play) were so excited when I tried them on!! Walked out the room to head down the corridor just as another player walked out of the next room. I jumped so much I clicked the left mouse button and killed the poor fella!! My daughter wasnt impressed. "Dad, your a murderer!!!" :'(

Loving the glitch fix and oddly enough, load times seem quicker for me. :thumbsup:

Ive never known anything so frustrating in my life. I was -playing Sat morning on 1.7.2.4 for a few hours. Had to leave to do fatherly things, came back at about 7 and couldnt get past the loading screen. I havnt changed anything, same version, same ARMA beta, same Battleye DLL's, same server.......decided to update everything as some servers were tell me I had the wrong version installed. Moved to the latest Beta, updated to 1725 and Im still getting stuck at the loading screen.......Im gutted too as Im currently on the best character Ive ever had!!

Dude, you have no rights here. You havnt paid for anything, therefore, your not in a position to demand anything. As has already been said....it'll be ready when its ready!! Oh and swearing really doesnt help your cause at all, if anything, just makes you look stupid.

OK, so I was playing Sunday night for a couple of hours early evening before the Squirrel gang got together for our regular Sunday night BF3 session. Everything was going swimmingly....well, kinda......I was very low on blood (2500ish), dizzy, kept passing out, plenty of water and coke, pain killers, blood bags, morphine etc etc, but no food and no knife....so no blood!! I was laid near the store in Palona. I think I could see it through the blurryness of my rather weak vision, but I wasnt sure......and there seemed to be infected fools bumbling around every which way! So I left it there, went and played BF3 for a few hours and decided I wuld try and find someone on here who might be able to assist me with a blood transfusion (none of my mates play DayZ.....I know.....can you believe it??). So Monday morning, I post up that I need some help, but Im not getting much joy, until I find someone who is in a similar position as me but he has broken legs. I PM him, tell him Ive got morphine and Im not a million miles from his location. I'll come administer the morphine, if he would reciprocate with the blood. Deal done, we aim to meet on Skype Monday night. Come Monday night, kids are in bed, Mrs watching TV, yay Ive got a few hours to myself. Swich the PC on, load up ARMA2 but can I get into a server.......can I bollocks! The game just keeps freezing at the LOADING screen after joining a server. I try loads of different ones. Nothing. I reboot. Nothing. I restart my router. Nothing. I update the beta (sneaky, I hadnt noticed that) but still nothing. By this time Im getting really pissed off. How can a game that worked perfectly fine just 24hrs ago, not work the next day when nothing has changed on the PC?? Feckin game drives me MAADDDDD I tells ya!! So I nip down and get a Desperado from the fridge and decide to give it one more go. I reboot the PC (again), I reboot my router (again), I get Worram to check for updates (again), check ARMA for anymore sneaky updates and ask Mr Battleye to play nicely. I choose my server (UK210.....daylight even at night....ace!!)....and sit back and twiddle my thumbs. To my surprise, in fact I damn nearly soaked my monitor in beer, it worked. There I am, staring at the supermarket in Palona.......infected all around me wanting to eat my eyes out! Sadly, my mate didnt get into Skype all evening, so I decided feck it, its only a game.....if I make it great, if not...Im on the coast again. I crawl to the market, eat about 8 tins of beans to get my blood back up, and find a hunting knife.....Joy of Joys, I can now go kill a beast! Crawl out of the village, Im wondering where I will find an animal to donate its hind for a better cause and bugger me if I dont go a trip over a pig. I kill it, gut it, cook it and eat it. Im feeling a bit better now, my first ever cooked meat in DayZ. I then find a pair of sheep, sorry guys, your mine! Killed, gutted and cooked.....Im feeling like a butcher now, and I'll tell you what......I feckin love this game!!!

OK, so Im dizzy and keep passing out. Blood is at 4250, taken pain killers and Ive got morphine but havnt taken any. Other than getting a transfusion or eating a cow, how do I stop the dizziness?

RESULT!! Crawled out of Polona and walked straight into a pig!! Just cooking up a feast now!!

Arse, i thought that might be the problem.....guess I'll have to go find a beast to kill!! So wheres good for animals, or are they random on the plains?
