Militarized Epoch by WidowMakerGaming - Top Server back online!

We've got group management installed now as well! The AI are incredibly challenging. Anyone looking for a fresh start can find a fun one here. We're bringing back the challenge to DayZ. My ass hasn't clenched up this tight playing this game in ages. -
Are there any private hive servers with the following: 3P: off NP: off SC: off Tracers: off CH: on/off -Vanilla night times and moon cycles -Near vanilla map (I'm okay with extra structures and such. But not to the point that looting And finding fixed vehicles becomes easy, I want the rarity and satisfaction of finding and relating my own stuff) -Community and very active admins. -Some clans would be nice to group up some of the survivors. I'm exploring a more hardcore and realistic experience when it comes to DayZ to bring back that paranoia, that mystery, and that confusion. I feel a roleplay server would be fun also to find mature players who aren't always Bambi hunting bandits. I'm looking for an intense, fun, well developed or currently rising environment to be a medic in.

DayZRP.com - role playing servers [DayZRP Mod|Roleplaying|Events|Strict Whitelist|Player Camps|Trade Post]

I wouldn't recommend this to a roleplayer. It's a great private hive though. For just generic DayZ play, I'd highly recommend it. -
DayZ RP - The Injected - Druglords of Chernarus - Recruiting
tatortodd22 posted a topic in Clan / Group Recruitment
Let the other groups combat each other in moral and political conflict. Civilization is gone. The governments, the churches, and the armies fell with it. However, a few things remained: supply, demand, and truckloads of opiates. Rules 1. Do not be hostile unless provoked. We are not thieves or murderers, we are businessmen. Be respectful and civilized. 2. Do not betray The Client or the Injected. 3. Abide all server rules. 4. Stay in character. Those that break our rules will have their belongings destroyed and they will be reverted to the trial status. If they break another rule during this trial, or go too long without appeasing the incident, their status, or the Injected image they've likely tainted, they will be executed and removed from all records. Communication -When speaking in Direct Chat, always be in character. -Consider TeamSpeak a radio channel among associates, use it to contact associates who are not with you. -Use TeamSpeak for out-of-character concerns. -Say "Break" to clear comms for important messages. -We will practice comms discipline in combat situations. Associates and Clients The Employer The Veteran (anfauglir) The Bookkeeper (Murray) Thorgis, "The Armorer" Hawky Alistratov, "The Prophet" DunnZ Jerry El Cid [T] Seiler [T] Rel [T] The Outpost Rangers Chernarussian Liberation Front Blue Sector Injected Operational Territory The area highlighted above is off limits to all. Any trespassers will be punished accordingly. We allow travelers access to the highways, and clients will have certain privileges. In Development: 1. Episodic series about the roleplaying background of the Employer, the Injected, and the Client. 2. Signature template customized for each member. -

We've greatly increased in numbers and influence since our last update. We are at war with the prominent bandit clan on the server as they raid our operation frequently. All role players are invited to the server and to apply to the Injected. -

Bump for the home edit. -
I'm playing around with the Arma 2 Mission Editor to make some videos, and I'm having trouble figuring out how to load in the DayZ map, with all roadblocks, military camps, and bodies included. Does anybody have any idea how I can achieve this, or where I could learn?

Arma 2 Mission Editor: How do I load the DayZ map?
tatortodd22 replied to tatortodd22's topic in DayZ Mod Gallery
I loaded the DayZ_1 mission folder into Chernarus, but when I place a survivor player and press preview, the loading bar either stays empty or gets stuck along the way. -

Server Info: DayZRP.com The server this clan calls home is a high traffic, whitelist roleplaying server. It has a no KoS rule to encourage player interaction. (then you can kill people if it's in character) Within the next few weeks they are overhauling the server with a custom mod, which includes realistic loot tables, many more vehicles and skins, ACRE mod, other clan features, and more. It is a well admin-ed community that accepts all skill levels, so long as you roleplay well. The whitelisting application requires a backstory, and hackers are virtually unseen. It's the best community I've ever found in DayZ. -
Ever seen one of these campsites in Chernarus?
tatortodd22 posted a topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
In Chernarus, my favorite place to camp is at this circle of benches and outhouse in the middle of the woods that I found. It's perfect, it's homey, gives you something special about your campsite, and you can get inside the outhouse. It's amazing. It also hasn't been been found after two weeks. Unfortunately I'd like to move a bit farther North. Does anybody know of any other camp sites like this that are built into chernarus? Like circles of benches, wells, or whatever, in the middle of the woods. I prefer coolness of a spot over the stealth of the spot. Any ideas? Pics or coordinates are appreciated. -
I'm looking for a hero/survivor or a couple of such individuals to play with, help survivors, and progress in my favorite private hive. I want to do things like be a medic, fortify a town, etc. but these are difficult in a hostile server while lone-wolfing. Preferences: US (I'm central time zone) Good sport Fair player Mature and 18+ Have Skype/TS3 Day Z Experience Good mic

Truckloads of Goodness I found a very stable and very fun private hive server. There are two organized groups currently on the server, and not much of a hero presence. I'd like to change that. If you're interested in setting up a hero clan and making a difference in a server with a wide range of goals and things to do with your teammates, apply to join! We could do any number of things such as: -Fortify a city -Give survivors care packages (backpacks of gear) -Convoy looting runs -Supply medical and survival checkpoints -Operate in large or small groups across the map -Hunt or sabotage bandits Be one of the first to join! You'll be able to choose your specialty and how you want to help. There are just some rules that must be abided if you are in this kind of clan: -No exploits. (e.g. hacking, combat-logging, duping, etc.) -No unprovoked killing. -Kill only in retaliation or to save survivors, leave it at a knockout if possible. -Be respectful and mature -Don't whine about dying or brag about killing -Be as friendly as possible If you are interested, please list the information below. TMW whitelisted medics will pretty much be automatically accepted. Age: Time playing DayZ: Previous clan experience: Best skill/favorite activity: How would you help:

I was browsing private hives, and came across one with the settings I enjoy, and decided to give it a shot. It had no side chat, which is an immediate great first impression for me. I spawned in Kamenka, and despite popular consensus, I love spawning there. I hit up 4-5 deer stands on my way up north through Zelenogorsk and Pustoshka, checking for vehicles along the way. I was passing through the Zelenogorsk supermarket at dusk, picking up a crossbow (finally, a primary!) and some watches, of course. As I was sorting my inventory, I heard the low rumble of a car engine from the west in between zombie grunts. I was crouched in the supermarket and decided to stay in there, hoping that whoever it was would simply pass on through. This was not the case. A GAZ rolls down the road to the supermarket from the North, and drives past the front door and into the parking lot. It turns around, points towards the large windows of the supermarket, and shines the headlights into the supermarket. I was aiming at the car, waiting for people to get out. I said "If you drop your guns we can be friends. I've got more cover than you. Think about this." And from behind me I hear "I thought about it. I'm going to stick with the initial plan." I freelooked behind be to see a survivor pointing an AK at my back from the back room. He told me to "Drop your gun and we can be friends." I chuckled a bit and complied. He then ordered me to get into the car. Once I was in the back seat, the gunman got into the car and we started to drive off. The driver said "This one must be new." The gunman asked "How do you know that?" "Because he hasn't got shit all over him." I chuckled at the reference, and realized how well it applied to the situation. "These might be roleplayers." I thought. They drove me out to the two barns west of Zelenogorsk, and got out in between them. "Get out of the car and head into the barn." "Why, what are you guys going to do to me?" I wondered, while reminiscing of all the interesting hostage situations I watch on YouTube. "It's just a little experiment." I walked into the barn a little confused and saw a ring of wire kits set up, with a tank trap opening. "We're studying the infection to find a cure. You're going to make a huge impact on the future good of the human race. What's left of it, that is. Now, if you would, please, get into the ring. It's for your and our protection." I walked in, judging the guy's friendly tone as one that didn't mean any harm. I stood in the middle and the driver lit a road flare and threw it at my feet, and he and the gunman ran to the opposite side of the barn. "What are you guys going to do?" They took a second and said "Save humanity, of course! But the first thing we must understand is how the infection works, and how a person "turns". One must know one's enemy." Almost on queue, zombies from outside were walking towards the flare and into the ring with me. "Guys? Can you shoot this zombie for me?" The gunman ran over to the entrance, and placed a tank trap blocking me and the zombies in. "I will in a minute. Now please, there's no way out, just accept your fate and know that your role is important in saving the human race." The zombies started tearing me apart and I begged "What the fuck guys! This is sick, let me out!" The zombies tore into me and as I lay knocked out, bleeding rapidly towards death, they tried to console me saying "Don't worry, we will end your misery shortly, we only need to witness what happens after the initial death." I bled out, and was greeted with the "You are dead!" screen. I wasn't even mad...I was just impressed!

My encounter with misled heroes..
tatortodd22 replied to tatortodd22's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
That's why I'm trying to get into the DayZ RP server whitelist. They require interaction before combat so that intentions are clearly stated and roles played out. If you are a Russian special ops team sent to recover intel from the zombie infested Soviet-state of Chernarus, you cannot just KOS. You have to hold them up, tell them to leave or be shot, etc. Clans lay claim to certain areas, fight constantly, interact with people instead of making assumptions and shooting everyone on sight. Should lead to many many more interesting encounters than just a 28 minute run North before a You Are Dead screen and 6 DMR cracks echo across the rolling hills. -

Mine wasn't great but it was one of my most successful. I decided to take my Hilux and a spare Alice pack and fill it with an M16, compass, matches, a hunting knife, etc. and drive along the coast looking for folks to help. I started from the Krustoy Cap and made my way west along the coast, driving straight through Cherno and Elektro. Along the way a dude with an axe that I offered a ride tried to slash my tires, then steal my truck. I killed him, unfortunately. The next fellow I encountered did not even interact with me, he just unloaded a Makarov clip at my truck from the side of the road. Needless to say, I kept going. Finally I was passing the Balota outpost and heard a fellow asking for a ride. I helped him out of the military outpost, and gave him a ride to Zelenogorsk supermarket. I gave him the Alice and the gun, and after a brief trip to my campsite, gave his buddy my M4 and some spare survival stuff. They told me I was the nicest player they've ever met, and assumed that, because I was so nice, that I was British. Because British people are nice...? But anyway it warmed my fuzzy heart and now I'm gearing up to help some other fellas, if I can. Hopefully they break their legs on the way to my car... I could use a hero skin. I wish you could get humanity for "gifting" something to someone. I was gonna give them my truck and a ghillie but I lost them after awhile. -
How About We Start Playing This Game?
tatortodd22 replied to person915's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'll never be bored of the tense moments when you declare yourself to another player. So much paranoia, suspicion, and anxiety build up to really make the experience real. And THATS what Rocket and the boys have down. And that's where they need to keep going with it. You bandits are the boring ones. Not the game. My friends aim to control areas. Set up checkpoints to help survivors when we have more than we need. We patrol and sometimes just clear a town of zombies. We set up roadblocks to kill bandits or help survivors. You don't seem to get what the OP is getting at. If anyone wants to join a private hive and do stuff like that, PM me. -

And who in their right mind would set up catwire walls around their campsite when it graphic glitches a big arrow straight to your camp from across the map. lol -
This seems like a cool idea that could add some immersion, realism, and fun. However, I don't think it, as a feature, contributes enough to the experience the DayZ team is aiming to develop for them to take resources off of, say, zombie pathing, to make windows roll up and down. But to contribute to your suggestion, maybe when windows are down zombies can attack you. This is something I'd like to see, but Id rather Rocket and the boys focus first on mastering the inventory and zombie encounters and such.

Ad something like DarkSouls or Minecraft’s message system
tatortodd22 replied to agora_nao's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
How about this: you can write in blood with a hunting knife and 1000 blood count. I feel like a lot of it will look very L4D2-ish in that people spam messages on safe house walls or popular areas. There would maybe have to be a limit to messages in accessibility, frequency, or otherwise to avoid spamming and overcrowding walls with endless new textures -
In my eyes it is technically an exploit of the game mechanics to advance your own standing in game. I try to avoid it, but seeing as no one seems to care unless it's severely overdone (a clan has 10+ as50s and ghillie suits from farming), I'll do it in cases where I need a wheel and cannot leave the area at risk of losing the car im reparing. Basically, I think its pretty much overlooked by admins and other players alike if you're doing it for something you need, like a ghillie suit or specific gun. If you can avoid it, do, but if you need to for some reason, I suppose it's okay. It's just alpha, and it's just a game. There are far worse exploits. As far as I see it, it's just another aspect of the "MMO" part of the game.

Looking to recruit hero movement in private hive
tatortodd22 posted a topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Two friends and I have come across a very good server. Their admin and his clan seems reasonable and cool, and the server is fun to play on. (3P: ON, TR: OFF, DM: ON, NP:OFF, CH: ON, SC: OFF, no whitelist or password) With no side chat, the medicing service becomes difficult/impossible, but heroes can still make a difference. I even prefer the no SC because it makes it more brutal and tense, not being able to ask some clan at the NWAF for a heli pickup as a fresh spawn, or asking if there's friendlies in cherno. My friends are trying to bring a hero side to the server, but with our numbers against at least two coordinated clans, we aren't getting anywhere. We'd like to do a few things such as: -Setup manned/unmanned medical checkpoints across the coast to give fresh spawns a bit better standing with the basic needs, stored in either a tent or a basic vehicle. -Giving rides or medical aid to survivors -Setup anti-bandit checkpoints/roadblocks in high traffic routes to eliminate bandits. -Rescue convoys securing coast cities and extracting survivors -Sabotage bandit efforts -----Sabotaging vehicles -----Defending/fortifying popular loot zones or cities -----Kidnapping bandit clan members, and holding them hostage for ransom (or just give those bandits something to throw resources at other than fresh spawns and innocent looters) This isn't an official clan yet, but it could definitely be headed in that direction. I'm looking for mature gamers who: -Don't whine when killed or when gear is lost. -Don't brag after killing. -Ask questions first, shoot if necessary (aim for KO before headshot) -Want to bring a sense of society/heroism back to DayZ -Play fairly (no exploits, combat/zombie logging, hacking, etc.) -Are atleast 16-17 -Play for the challenge and the fun, not to get angry at other players or bitch about losing their gear -Plays well with others If you're interested post a reply and include the following: Age: Skype: Previous clan experience (if any): DayZ experience: Favorite DayZ activity (looting, pvp, medicing, etc.): How often you play: I'll likely play on pubs with any promising applicants before accepting. Hope to see you in hell!
