Im jelly, any encounters I"ve had with hackers has always resulted in my characters death. Wish I could come across some nice hackers that give me stuff lol. :) -
I seem to get the first part of your post (sort of), but then you just trailed off & didn't make any sense lol. Do zombies even get drunk? A drunk zombie, that I gotta see!

I think there must be some way to do it. I've seen very recent youtube videos of players with both the debug monitor & indicators working at the same time. Although I haven't bothered to look for a answer.

I would have given up after 2 or 3 minutes, you really must of wanted to join that server.

Yes the mod is free to play & yes your bandwith is plenty. Reading the new player posts will enable you to learn the ins & out of the game quicker.. Its probably best to stick to low pop servers so you don't encounter scripters as much.

Makarov was taken out months ago. Private hives equals less hackers, but in general they seem to be less frequent over the last month or so on most servers. Maybe they have all gone back to BF3 since armored kill was released. Having said this I bet I die to to a hacker in the next couple of Dayz. yolo. -
Thx for the offer but i all ready have NVG and a ghillie, I seem low on luck on finding Stanag SD so I think I'll pass. Better luck with another survivor, happy trails.

How many mags do you have for it? I have what you want with about 5 mags, maybe 6, cant remember exactly. I am near Stary, don't want to travel half way across the map for a gun with 1 mag.

^ So it seems there are obvious advantages to getting the hero skin. Although when I think about it I can't say in 3 months of playing Dayz I've ever run out of ammo for a weapon, except for one of the pistols perhaps.

9. and they will completely fill up half empty magazines on relog. Didn't know this, is this accurate, I've never been a hero to find out?

Often I have got excited upon hearing flies to see what I can loot from the dead player, only not to find the body anywhere. I've wondered weather this is because a player hid the body or it is due to some kind of bug or glitch. It is a bit anti climactic when it happens lol.

Recently died due to hacker, at the time I was kitted with; Coyote backpack, NVG, Rangefinder, GPS, Ghilli, FN Fal with 5 mags, M9SD with 4 mags, DMR with 3 mags and all the survival tools. I was a bit pissed at the time as my character was on about day 30 or there abouts. Nothing you can do about it, just suck it up and gear up again. I've been pretty lucky with hackers as I only been killed 3 or 4 times by them in 3 months of playing the mod.

I do like some of your ideas. Imo matches should not be infinte, Pepsi & Coke should not hydrate you for the same amount of time as water, and different clothing should give you different enviromental resistances. Maybe there could be highly toxic / radiated areas where the use of a gas mask would be necessary (like Fallout). I hope the developers for the standalone are thinking along the same lines as some of your ideas.

My last 6 or so deer stand visits has netted nothing of use to me. No ammo for my current weapons, just shotgun shells, chemlights, empty cans and the occasional Makarov mag. Where are all the AKMs when you need one? -
My M4A1 CCO SD rifle won't accept 30Rnd. STANAG?

I found a M4 SD recently on a dead player with no ammo. Went to NWAF in the hope of find some ammo for it. I didn't find any but came across a Kobra with 3 mags so I decided to drop the M4 SD instead. I logged out for the night and the next day decided to go back to the NWAF to see what was there and now I find a ammo box with 10 stanag sd mags & 20 normal stanag mags. Needless to say I was a bit pissed about getting rid of the SD. This game is a real bitch sometimes. -
Equipping civilian clothing strange things happened. What does it all mean?

Don't know about the black civilian clothing, but recently when I put on a ghillie suit all my stats (humanity, kills & headshots) reverted back to 0 like you experienced. Over the course of about the next 2 hours gameplay my humanity went back up to where it was previously but my kills & headshots stayed the same. -
On a side note, I read something in another thread that if you approach a town in a vehicle at speed it does give loot enough time to spawn in the supermarket. I haven't experienced it myself but it does seem feasible.

how do the controls work on pc games

It just takes time to get used to the controls, after a bit of practice you will actually find that you are more accurate with the keyboard and mouse than with a controller. I used to game on console, PS3, PS2, PS1 and even Sega Megadrive, but I switched about 2 years ago to PC and find it much better. I haven't played a game on the playstation since Skyrim came out last year.
