Update (16/1): Player Proximity DeSync Issue (Solutions/Workarounds!)

Replace the word "desync" with whatever word you wish to call it, we call it desync because when the issue occurs our desync (according to the game) is at 10,000. I don't care what you choose to call it, it needs to be fixed. This isn't Reddit, so the top rated posts are not at the top for easy reading, if you read through the whole thread there should be adequate information to begin assessing the problem. -
Regular mode is broken as well, if you want to keep your character don't try logging in until this is resolved.

It's unfortunate you're completely disregarding this thread, but like it or not this issue plagues many players. This issue has nothing to do with any visible icon, and we never said it did. This is an issue with consistent desync, across many servers, and has affected many players for weeks. It would be helpful to read through some posts in the thread, or the OP before responding. We have been waiting a month for an official response to our problem, and for you to disregard our game-breaking issue is a bit offensive. Maybe you would take this seriously if it was posted on Reddit? -
On full servers, all of the coastal cities will be ravaged by new spawns, and all that remains will be bandits who shoot new spawns for their batteries (or w/e they shoot new spawns for). Try logging into a 15-20 player server and checking the loot. You still get the danger of bandits, but more loot. Once you have a couple bits of food and a hatchet feel free to leave the coast and join a full server. The only people who log onto 40/40 servers are people looking to kill other people on the coast and/or high pop areas. Loot never respawns, so the full servers are full of spawn campers with no goal besides target practice against unarmed targets.

You should go around the map and try engaging in some player interaction, maybe give a new player a bag of rice or hunt for one of the many people with broken legs. If you end up dying you get to start over the gear hunt, which I personally enjoy :D

Servers Putting TS Info In Welcome Messages

AFAIK rocket has nothing against VOIP, I see no issue with admins putting their TS info in the welcome message. They are the ones paying tons of money per month, and that's basically the only thing they have control of. -
We need sticks as well, they are just as rare as morphine.

Removing the blur effect using the video options is a terrible idea, ignore that video. I was under the impression that there would only be underground base building, because above ground construction would result in too much strain for the servers. Can anyone actually find where rocket specifically mentions above ground base building? I'd love to see it in the game but I have my doubts it will be implemented. -

It would be really helpful if the logout menu had 2 choices: one where you choose to wait 30 seconds when you are still ingame, but can't move or do anything, and the other which is how it is now where you log out immediately but activate the 30 second timer while you are offline. Right now there is no way to know what is happening to your corpse after you log out, and if you die you can't know how or why. Allowing an option where you have to sit stationary but can see what is going on around you would make it so you can watch for players/zombies that might come to eat/defile you. It is essentially the same combat log protection, but much more logical. Nearly every hardcore full-loot mmo I have played has had this feature, and I hope the current timer is just a placeholder. I would sleep a lot better knowing my character was safe and sound instead of never knowing what awaits me on the login screen when I fire up the game next. Thoughts?

That is disappointing that rocket is against this idea, or a similar idea. I disagree that it could be abused unless you were able to run around and do things while your timer is active. I don't see the issue with not being able to cancel the logout timer, the server will just be told you are logging out (as it is now) the character stays in the world (as it is now) but the only difference is you can still see the world around you. I don't use reddit, and it's a shame he only responds to people there, or I would suggest this on reddit. -
Rice is the best, but it dehydrates you. Just eat anything you find unless you just filled up your stomach with water.

Assuming you didn't eat any bad food/poison, I think you just need to stay hydrated until it goes away. Just drink until you get the light green "hydrated" icon, but don't keep drinking after that. If it doesn't go away after a bit, there may be a new sickness bug. -
You actually should eat all the food you can, at least until you are bright green "energized" status.

Alcohol is not necessary to clean wounds and will only make you sick ATM.

You can still switch 12 servers per hour, I honestly don't think that's harsh enough of a penalty. If you can't find loot you're probably still on the coast on 40/40 servers.
