Wait for "Setup Complete" then hit ESC leaving the menu up until you finish spawning (this leaves Respawn available and won't be greyed out) then hit Respawn.

If a "real bandit" is one who kills to loot the gear off of the body then yeah half my deaths ended that way, and I don't really care when I die because Rule #1 of Chernarus: never get attached.

I don't think you're alone; the one and only player kill and the other numerous zed kills have all ended with me "hiding"/burying the bodies so no one else can get to it.

I dunno if I'm one of the lucky few but in the few months I've been playing I have yet to encounter anything remotely near hacking or a hacker. Well of course now that I've said that I'll probably encounter one today.

After living off of canteen water and canned food scavenged off of zeds I, or rather my blinking thirst and near stomach cramping hunger, decided that it was time to go for the gold. Looking down upon Elektrozavodsk from the side of Dobryy Mountain I figured a quick route that should keep me 'tween houses and fences thereby HOPEFULLY giving me a shot at making the supermarché. With a wink and a dash I was down the mountainside, through the houses, around the back fence and entered through the only open door in the back where my jaw dropped upon first sight. Canned food and soda in the back ... EVERYWHERE!! I managed to find 12 cans of food (enough to bring me back to full blood plus three cans to carry), 9+ cans of soda (Coke/Pepsi), an Alice pack, and a plethora of other items, but it doesn't end there. At the apartments just east of the marché I managed to locate a watch, map, and my first sidearm: a cheap but hopefully reliable Makarov with 2 mags. It's amazing what risk versus reward becomes when finding such wonderful items. With a full belly and finally having a sense of security I eeked my way into one of the back rooms where I decided to lay down, take a nap, and log off. When I return from my 3 day holiday: the southbound trek to Elektro l'hopital with an eastbound turn to the fire department afterwards.

It's just a makarov so no congratulations needed. When I return, should my run through Elektro goes as planned, I'll be prepared to offer some medical assistance.

Additional way to increase humanity: kill zeds. I gained approx 150 humanity after putting my trusty hatchet to the heads of two dumb zombies.

That's because you're new, no offense meant. I've got 3 zed kills + 1 survivor kill for a total of 51 humanity; I guess this means I'm fairly neutral with a minor tendency towards helping.

Mine was today as well. Looking down on the unsuspecting victim from above I managed to work down towards him, approaching from behind apparently unheard. I've only relied on my trusty hatchet and with one swing down the poor bastard went. I raided him for a bandage pack and painkillers. Irony is about an hour earlier I gave up my original hatchet to a newbie and picked up a new one ... I think it's possesed.

Arma II beta patches are backwards compatible; any server should be joinable.

That's about the only thing that will save a survivor from an inevitable flood of zeds respawning which I am not opposed to. I'm opposed to them spawning within seconds of one dying; how real is it when you kill a zed but then three appear out of no where? There should definitely be some time between spawns (set by a DayZ patch or by the server owner/hoster) to bring this mod back to a more playable, noob-friendly status.

Not only has Rocket increased their hearing but the spawn rate this is ridiculous now. I was in a similar situation, albeit in a bar, where at least 12 zeds entered that barn, more than should have been possible based on number to buildings in the area (i.e. two buildings so 6 zeds max). I think the spawn time needs to be toned down. No complaints on the tweak to the hearing, just a small gripe about spawn time.

I will agree with the ridiculous zombie spawn time and increased aggroing, plus the wonderful nerfing from BI has made the game more difficult than ever as a noob.

Mad props to OliverD1995 for not only bringing me a can of beans and a blood transfusion but letting me have 2 additional blood trans packs, 2 morphine pens, and an epi-pen to help others out later. Now I'm armed to pay it forward.
