    So where are these stoner zombies? Would be funny to have them chasing me one minute then stopped the next because they forgot what was going on :D "*insert aggro'd zed scream* ... wait ... what? Huh? What's going on again?"

    There's a quick fix for that by doing the following: 1. Make a copy of the "Launch Arma 2 OA Beta Patch" shortcut into your @DayZTakistan folder 2. Rename it to whatever you want (I chose "takistan") 3. Right click and choose "Properties" 4. to the "Target" line/box add "-mod=@dayztakistan -nosplash" 5. Apply changes and move shortcut back to main Arma2 folder This should solve some problems for people hopefully; it helped solve mine. If anyone has any additions to make loading times quicker please post them up.

    Expected Date of Attempt: 21 Sept 2012 (happy birthday to me) On hold (unfortunately) due to increasing work and school loads. Start: West of Kamenka End: When I die, be it Olsha Mountain or along the way. Mode of Transportation: By foot ONLY!! Goal: See how many zeds I can get following me by the time I reach Olsha Mountain (or I die, whichever comes first) Other information: I'll be looting for food and drink along the way, no sidearm, no primary firearm, no defense method other than just running. Will be looking for someone with a helo and video recording software so I can see the madness from someone else's perspective afterwards.

    No don't really care because I play nice and don't hack; I just find it really hard to believe that the game glitched or a hacker "gave" them to you.

    Somehow the game glitched and magically you got a ghille suite and a DRM? :huh: Really? :rolleyes: Sidebar: to whomever killed me earlier in game: you suck but thanks for not taking the medical supplies. Hope you enjoy the M1911 and the mags.

    True, but it wouldn't be so boring if that Chernarus-sized map had fully enterable buildings or near fully enterable buildings IMO. I've seen a couple on Armaholic.com that I think could play out very well for DayZ, but again that's just me.

    The one thing I like about this map: you know every building is enterable somewhere!! I wish Chernarus had that going for it.

    You have to launch from DayZ Commander in order to properly join a Takistan server; not sure why but that's the only way that's worked for me.

    Played Takistan in armory mode and it plays like it could work, probably more for the experienced players but it could work. UPDATE: so far almost all Takistan servers are full.

    Hrm, I'm seeing a few more servers with Takistan this morning than I did last night ... maybe it's popular or maybe it's a fad.

    So are you working towards changing buildings in Chernarus, making more of the buildings enterable, or are you just adding new buildings elsewhere? Very curious about this.

    How are there "custom buildings" in your server?

    Yawn map. Waaaaay too much space and not enough buildings; it took running around for a couple of hours trying to figure out where I was before I found a town that was SWAMPED with zeds and players willing to kill on sight (got chased out of town the second I popped my head up to survey where I was at). I'll stick with Chernarus for now.

    I just want to find a damn pedal bike!! I've found ATV's, tractors, cars, etc. (crap that needs fuel and repairing) but not a single stupid bike!

    So how long did you play on the PDR server before making such a judgement? Probably none at all; doubt you took the time to sign up and play with Burro, Drake, Ark, and others.

    To avoid this issue go to: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=1706081&mpage=1 And download "Play_DayZ.cmd" so you don't have to use DayZCommander every time.

    Anyone else run across the issue of seeing an Alice pack and not being able to pick it up/take it? Still stuck with the coyote pack and haven't been able to take the only Alice pack I've found so far.
