I guess I do need some assistance (how embarrasing). I'm at that small pond at Kopyto and needing a blood bag and a can of beans.

It had to be one with someone else in it. This is the first time I'm in a situation with someone else I don't know who's armed as well, albeit with a hatchet. Do I stick by my guns and stay friendly or do I cross the line and shoot with no regard? I didn't think he would have seen me at first but he did. "FRIENDLY! FRIENDLY! Please don't shoot!" I yell back at him, "I'm friendly too, nothing to worry about." Now he's dancing like a scared chicken shouting, "Oh God! Please don't shoot! Friendly!" Yeah, and I'm friendly too; we're both on global so what's the problem? I guess he doesn't quite trust me yet? Oh whoops, turn the mic on moron! "I'm friendly; I have no intentions of turing this on you" A big sigh of relief from both of us and he fills me in on how he's been dodging from building to building after falling, breaking his leg, healing himself, then rushing to the barn I last logged out in. "So what gear do you have, mi compadre," I ask. The reply was grim: the hatchet in his hands, a flashlight, and a coyote pack. Taking one of three packs I drop him some bandages and inform him if he ever see's me around again don't hesitate to try and team up. Moral of the story: I'll try to be a friendly medic if I have the supplies on me at the time.

So far I'm happy with the patch. Load times for me have reduced, in some cases quite drastically. I have yet to try a gun so it will be interesting to see how a double barrel works in close range on zeds.

I'm on the 1.7.2.3 version if that helps.

Would asking for blood when I'm just barely over 9000 be appropriate?

I would definitely like to know if the amount of loot is dependant on the difficulty setting. Maybe rocket can put his 2 cents in here.

Talk about an interesting first for a newb. I had barely been logged in long enough to remember where I was in-game when I heard "help, help me" which caused me to spin circles looking if it was near me. Yup, it was. It appeared some other newb tried to raid the Balota hangar near the wharf only to find two zombies instead of gear. So being the mister nice guy that I am I killed the zombies then the guy. JUST KIDDING!! I let Dr. Friendly go (I believe that was his in game name), raided the corpses, and moved on but now I'm down about 1500 blood. So not only did I have my first saviour moment I got my first zombie kill AND first headshot kill with the hatchet. HOO-AHH!! If you see me, Glendora.friendly, my trusty hatchet and I can offer some help. P.S. Will blood regenerate after awhile or do I need to eat food/raid a hospital to fix that?

If I can find those items I'll give it a shot.

ROTLOL!! Beyond funny! I had to literally take my headphones off so I could ROTFLOL.

I wish stuff like that happened with more players, Lockdown; it would make the game experience more enjoyable for more players but sadly there are those sadistic few that get their jollys off in wrecking others gaming experience by killing and stealing.

I try to approach the person, keeping distance until identified as friend or foe. If friendly I'll gladly try to work with the person to reach a goal, even if it means I get nothing at that moment. I know karma will come back around one time or another so I don't mind trying to help others as I've been helped.

Not much time spent around survivors but it has always been pleasant with the last encounter having me hatcheting away two zeds to save a guy so he could raid their bodies and head his own way. I have no desire to conduct PvP when possible because ... well I guess I haven't had a reason to need to or want to. I would much rather work with other than work against others.

Interesting. Next time I die I'll be sure to try it.

Since 2012? Try since 2005; I've definitely made my fair share of the sweetest all-grain brewsky's ever made.

Maybe Rocket should add grains, yeast, hops, and the other equipment so you can ... ok too much but I still want beer in-game.

It's a great idea but it can easily be bypassed. - Find a locked/chained building - Camp somewhere safe not far - Log in to different server and enter now unlocked building - Log out and log back in to server with locked building - Voila, stuff is not safe.

Same here; I've never had Alt+F4 work as a "quick disconnect" especially when I needed it the most.
