Even though yes realism should be a concern however it needs to be balanced to be "playable". There should be a way for me to eliminate the zombies that were in my way or lose them off my tail. I could use a high power military rifle and clear a large area because it was loud or use a low power civilian pistol to clear the zombies right around me. No reason the mararkov should agro zombies almost past the draw distance.

I have cooked mutton, but not bacon. I read another thread about someone not being able to cook. Maybe the issue is bacon right now. Mutton is okay though.

I also found an M4CCO in that same game after I got infected. Never seeing either an infection or this rare weapon before, I suddenly get both 10minutes apart. I think they changed the numbers in the game.

I think the spawns have also changed. I was trying to run around at the NW airfield refueling a freshly spawned heli. My marakov kept attracting zombies from 1km away or when I turned the corner to the hanger the zombies were spawning at the other end of the airport. I dunno.

The first water bottle that I found since the update I drank. The 1-500 chance of getting an infection in nonsense. I have never had an infection before, but the first bottle of water that I drank gave me an infection which eventually led me to running around in the wild looking for a boar with a flashing screen. That is quite the .002% ehh? I don't know if that number is right.

Trying to get my owned server running. I am able to connect to my server fine and play, however it seems that when a player connects they disconnect a second later. It has happened three times now. I have only had the server up here and there over the past few days. I have encountered this when I joined an up to date server when I was out of date. I am experiencing the same thing you are right now. There was a message was there before when I did not have the right patch. Right now I can not join any of the newly updated servers and the old servers are giving me the flashing screen.
