Hotfix changelog: Stable Branch: 0.35.115188
mintypie007 replied to mattlightfoot's topic in News & Announcements
After joining an experimental server I noticed that the experimental servers are not running the correct version either. Client experimental does not match the server experimental of 115.182. So who's fault was this, how can the wrong server patches been applied to EVERY server? -

I get the same crash on experimental and stable. Obviously something has been messed up in the process. -

I agree. Every server title has changed to the updated file but does not have the update. While this is an alpha, this is not an alpha bug and is not acceptable. That is a huge cockup. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come. I am sure it is not but it would be nice to leave some of the nonsense that occurred during the mod times behind. -

Crashing issues for me have no been resolved. Sudden crash to desktop is occurring on both stable and experimental. Lost 3 characters so far due to the new "anti-combat logging" rules. Dumb. -

Many times so far it seems that those who test the patches do not test enough. Seems that with some patches and so called fixes they hope and just release the patch. Many times so far things in change logs were still broken and it has only been a month. It is not enough to simply play the game to see if things work. There is debug land for a reason. -

Just because someone is complaining about game breaking bugs it does not mean they are crying. There are huge issues with the engine. Huge. People should be more straight forward on their posts. We are here to help test and balance. That includes complaining about issues with the engine. -

Rubber banding is still l occurring frequently. Players on my screen are also lagging allllll over the place. Through walls, disappearing, etc. Confirmed with people I play with. Pretty serious issue. It is indeed and alpha however I hope the devs realize their patches are not fixing what they are hoping to fix. The game performs much much better now too. Much higher frames at higher settings. -

Shooting a weapon is different when inside and outside. What you are accustomed to with games is having the loud dramatic indoor gun sounds all over the place. Realistically, if you are not inside or up against walls, gun shots are not nearly as loud. -

Rolling Update Rev. 0.30.113953

Rubber banding has been made quite worse now. Pushes you into buildings and actually moves where you are aiming to the sky. Alpher alpher alpher, I know that when you fix one thing 100 other bugs pop up but silly to patch something to make it worse when you can wait for a bigger patch when it is fixed... -

Have to agree on this. Private servers I managed and played on ran better and had very little downtime. -
The reason I mention arma 3 is that that system should be easily imported due to DayZ basically being the alpha arma 3 engine that branched off.
-
Have you played arms 3? They have this as a default in the engine. Getting shot in a specific part of you body gives a buff to certain stats ie getting shot in the legs makes you limp, arm shot ruins your aim. Rocket already mentioned a limp animation. I would expect to see something similar. On the note of where rocket is...I would assume he is taking another break in the middle of a multimillion dollar project to climb another hill again.

This is one of the best suggestions on this forum yet.
-
Pretty sure rocket said no tents too.

Items are not drawn by server in storage. Simple database pull. Items on ground use resources.

What stops you from logging out if you are being robbed?
mintypie007 replied to acekaze's topic in New Player Discussion
You are shitty for doing that. Yes, I am sure there will be a logout timer and hopefully some sort of check to make sure no one is around you. -
I'm going to go ahead and add you on steam.
-
Oh, it doesn't say press on it? Awesome, I need to find these two things, stab proof vest and the press vest.

Well your specs are more than good enough. Does your power supply have enough wattage? -
When did you see this server? There hasn't been one up since they all took vacation.

Younger player needs group to roll with.

We have a few younger members but always expect everyone to be mature. Check us out. Teamspeak in my signature. When the private files are released we will be hosting a Dayz standalone server. Our Dayz Epoch server lost all its traffic because of standalone, lol. -
You spawn in with just about 20% energy and 20% thirst. Energy has a max around 20,000 and drink at 6,000 or so. You really do spawn it almost dehydrated and almost starving to death. Most people do not realize this.

What are your computers specs? Did you try checking canirunit.com? -
Nope, glitched in a similar way that the medical boxes are. You can always just drag the ammo grouping onto the ammo box in your inventory if you are just adding. Otherwise you do have to place it on the ground.
