  1. Spilled a couple drops of mountain dew on the keyboard, lazy sunday night as I'm camped out on my water tower, waiting for my buddies to show up. Cue me accidentally vaulting off the tower when I press my key just a little too hard, and the sounds of my kneecaps being force fed through my ass. Good times. Fucking dew man, gets you every time.

    Why banditing?

I personally enjoy the challenge, my group versus another group, skill and tactics used against each other to fight it out, and take each others things. Makes you appreciate what you have so much more, and its tons more fun than making giant stash piles and hording up somewhere. Of course, we operate by a set of standards, we dont hack, dupe, target fresh spawns, or gang up on a sole dude unless he's asking for it. The guys we fight are often bandits or ruthless dicks, and more often than not, well established enough that they can take a hit without it being total game over for them. Sides, can't be letting my aim get rusty, main game is still on its way.

    First Fire-fight?

Was hitting one of the marts in Cherno, Me and two of my buddies, all fresh spawns. So far, we had gotten pretty lucky, handguns, starter rifles, and enough supplies to keep us going for a little while. As I was going to grab a map off the floor, heard a bullet wizz into the glass, and dove down. Turns out a pair of dudes were waiting across the street with AK's, and opened fire on us. My buddies gave me covering fire, and I stuck out the back, and looped around. All I had on me was a 1911, so I had to be careful, and snuck up on them. Got lucky, managed to get the drop on them, and finished them off with about two clips. Walked away with a fresh AK, and learned that all too important rookie lesson, pay attention in Cherno.
  4. Normally I just snag a few things that I'd really need, then leave it be. Only once did I come across a super stock tent, and it was pretty clear either this was a group's work, or someone harvesting gear, so it was time for a bit of fun. Spend a good half hour taking out all the items stocked up, and scattered them around like easter eggs for them to search around for. Left the tent standing, and left laughing my ass off. Bet they must have had one hell of a time looking for all that loot.
  5. No way, we'd have all the new players/spawns rushing there fast as they could, and even more folks camping it out just to harvest kills. Helicopter crash sites need to be random, because of the prizes to be had, and the sheer joy you feel when you get one.
  6. Once agreed to meet up with a fella to trade some spare guns I had in my stash tent for meds and ammo for what I was using. On my way over to the trade spot, noticed some movement up in the hills, so snuck around to check it out. Lo and behold, there was my trade partner and two of his buddies, talking on the vocal chat and planning out the ambush. Lucky for me, I decided to bring a grenade to the meet, unlucky for them however, especially since they had plenty of nice things, including the stuff I needed. Shame getting a good, honest trade is harder and harder these days.
  7. Actually, I think the general complaint we have is guys that either spawn this gear, or just gather in up and wait out in areas, spawn camping folks or sniping passer by's just to. What really gets my nerves, is when you have the occasional cunt coming onto the forums all "LOLOLOLOLOLO, LOOK HOW I TOTALLY SNIPED THESE SCRUBS, COME LAUGH AT THEM WITH ME, AND WATCH MY YOUTUBE VIDS OF ME SNIPING AND BEING AN ASSHOLE, LOL!!!11!!1!!1" Bad sportsmanship is what causes problems for games, not sniping.

    US 1016 dont join

I can confirm for this too, admin teleported me and one of my buddies a couple minutes after we spawned in. Wanted to test it out, we were able to alt-f4 before he could gank us. OP's right on the admin abusing, cant confirm on the reset though.
  9. My first contact was a duo actually. I met them in one of the costal towns, cant remember which by name to be exact. It was dark, and zombies were rushing around, these two blasted, one of them fired a round into me. I blasted both of them with a double tap, took their supplies, and was on my way. Not bad for my first day, and I was far nicer the next time I met a player.

    First Run to NWAF; Tips?

If you can, I'd advise having a nearby tent and a reliable server you plan to return to. If the airfield isn't picked clean, it can be loaded to the brim with goodies, and you'll need to often make multiple trips. Keep what you want, trade off what you don't want/need off in the trading section. Do that, you'll have good folks on your contact list, and get whatever else your raid wont getcha. Who knows, might be the first step to getting into a good crew too.

    First Run to NWAF; Tips?

Bring about two or three servings of food and water, crouch run from cover to cover, and scan out for the number of zombies there/possible look outs and snipers. If the zombie count seems too high, or you get the gut feeling there's people there, wait 15, then make a call.

    How did you find DayZ?

Kotaku. Had been a bunch of articles on it lately, and one of my buddies on steam was telling me it was pretty fun. Couple of days later, ARMA was have a bit of a discount on it, so figured what the hell, got myself a copy and I didnt look back.

    Killing My Group

Yup, clearly the dick here. Because showing off a crappy video of acting like a total coward and trying to get a rise out of folks while snagging up youtube views isn't dickish at all. Most folks have standards as a bandit, OP shows he get his kills from people who work with him and have their backs turned, or he ambushes high traffic areas where badly armed, if unarmed fresh spawns go. OP isn't a bandit, just a little bitch who wants to be one.

    Tranq guns for standalone

Huh, I like the idea of Tranq guns, would allow for alternatives and some good prankage/punishment. One addition to the idea, if a humanity system is retained, there should be a small hit to it if players use the tranq gun on non-bandits. Would cut down on excessive punishment free robbing, or from it being used to abuse targets excessively, especially new spawns. That way, we can't have professional robbers going about with hero skins all the time.
  18. Eh, sad to say, most players under 18 I've seen just act like damn brats. Not saying everyone's terrible, but the track record just isn't that good. Last time I played with an underage kid in our crew, he ended up getting mad because we gave a bloodpack and a gun to a friend of mine who needed it, instead of him to keep in his tent. Soon as we turned our backs, tried blasting us with his shotgun, thankfully my buddy who got the gear capped him before he could do too much hard. Had to block him our skype with all the screeching and threats he was making, just another 'mature' kid that lost his head.

    How to waylay?

Hey there fellas, one of the severs I frequent has been under a bit of trouble from this one crew. Managed to get their hands UAZ and have great timing to find folks on the road and run them down. Most of the time I generally avoid anyone with a set of wheels, but these guys have been a pain lately. Any tips on how to get a good ambush set up for them? Or at the very least, a few tips on how to best disable them without risking myself too much?

    Yeah, you're fine. http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/M4A1_Holo

    How to waylay?

Alright, now for severs that disable tools, because I know at least wiring is disabled, would sandbags and the like hold the same effect? Also, how many shots would you say it takes to disable? I'm a pretty good shot with my M4, so if I can't get a good road trap, I'll try to disable. My main concern is that they'll be able to either quick move and run me right over, or flee before I can disable em and counter attack. If too many, I can just try to get the tires when they move slow enough.

    Killing My Group

Huh, so another 14 year old and his video of pointless dickery, mkay. Next.
  23. Well to be fair, our little trade deal just went south real quick. Reeked of an ambush, and we both intended to kill each other, least we had walked away respectful during it. Besides, there is nothing respectable about spawning camping fresh lives or using unfair/cheating methods to score kills.

    Infected children in DayZ. Poll.

Zombies aren't nice creatures. They don't care about equality, gender, race, age, anything. They only care about killing and eating what they kill. Children are no exception, they die just as bad as regular folk, if not faster. If the idea of children horrifies you in a zombie game, then good, you should be affected. They're young, a sign of innocence and the preciousness of life, so to see them as part of the problem that's killing folks should be terrifying as all hell. If for one second, it makes you hesitate to click your mouse and make your gun fire, then the game's doing what its suppose to do, make surviving hell.

    How about fishing?

Makes sense considering the amount of folks that hang around the coast as is. Also gives another option to lone wolves and survivalists, I'd say it'd need to stick to the ocean, require the use of a boat to get out far enough to get a decent chance. It'd also help to up the value of boats in game as well. Course, I see something like this being more likely to get added for the stand alone.
