  1. There's a difference between a bandit and a douchebag. A bandit will hunt for a worthy target, he'll search the cities, inlands, the hills and forests, looking for that good steal or kill for what he wants. When you and your buddies sneak up behind that crew of looters, and take everything from them, maybe even their lives, you're a bandit. When you're camping a hill with duped or hacked gear, sniping unarmed fresh spawned players, or just mass killing folks for no other reason that just to by the cheapest means possible, you're a douchebag. Now that we know the difference, lets go out and show folks how a real bandit works.
  2. Honestly, if it weren't for duping and terrible player ethics, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. I'm all for getting people to travel inland more though, its lonely up north, few people to trade with or shoot at.
  3. Maybe you shouldn't have been so easy to kill? I mean jeeze, least you could do is make us all work a little for the kill. I like a little challenge myself.

    Ammo troubles.

Someone having trouble with finding 1911 ammo? Never thought I'd see the day. My advice buddy, if you have a big enough bag, either get a secondary pistol to use when your main runs low/out, or stash your gun and use the axe till your restocked. Sounds like your aim might need work, because a good sniper doesn't usually have to worry about finding so much ammo. I'd also advise maybe not hunting spawners on the coast, waste of ammo, and bad sportsmanship imo.

Trade NVG's For AS50 and Ghillie

Suit's in my bag, got the AS50 stashed for counter sniping in my ALICE. I sent over the skype request, so we can plan out a time and place for the deal.

    Not getting attached to gear

Whenever I'm in the mood to bandit, I just hide out near a cafe or a shop, easy way to get at least one kill by the end of the day. Most folks are bending over picking up loot, so plenty of time to shoot out their spine or the back of their dome.

This thread is stupid and you're all wasting time and space.

Is KOS really that big of a problem?

Personally, I do think the KoSing has gotten a little over the top. Nine times outta ten, folks are killing each other for no reason. Fresh spawners, helpful folks, etc. Hell, most bandits I've seen kill are doing it out of sheer reaction, they mostly don't even bother to loot the bodies. Not crying about it, just think alot of folks are killing simply to kill.
  15. I got one, pray. The best you can do with folks is try to prove yourself as trustworthy and helpful. Often you want to look for openings, giving a gun to an unarmed player, healing someone that's hurt, offering up excess food, etc. The more friendly and likeable you can make yourself, the better your chances. Other than that, folks are like luck of the draw, never know what you'll get.

First gun you ever found in DayZ?

AKM off a dead pubbie I stumbled onto to about my first ten minutes into the game. A half hour later, got my first legit murder off a kid with a juggalo tag blaring music over direct chat with his back turned to me. Easy beans man, easy beans.
  17. How nice, tissues and the door out are on your left.
  18. See, I'm just confused why you'd kill him after a few days, and not say, an hour or two later. Oh well, I guess that's how things work on the web now. We were all 13 once.
  19. I actually try to actively avoid just killing folks. I go around trying to help actually, food, ammo, health supplies, I try to share and help support folks however I can. Spent about an hour with my Einfield over in Cherno last night, just picking off zombies that were near folks passing/looting through. Got a few thanks and what not, felt pretty good. Then popped in this one guy who shot a player's legs out, then started going a really creepy rant, like, overtly detailed sexual stuff that would make even most game players stop and be like "What is wrong with you, you creepy fuck" Only bullet in the last week I put into a person, best throat shot in awhile.
  20. Thanks for that buddy, saving it right onto my desktop.

    Your first murder!

On my first day of playing, I had wandered into Komarovo looking for supplies. Like many new players, I was skitish and unsure where to look, and it was late at night, both my end and in the game. I had stumbled onto a pair of buddies that at the time, I thought was a good idea to follow. However, they quickly proved to be a pair of morons, attracting plenty of attention, and fighting with me over who got what. After attracting the third crowd of zombies towards us, I lost my paitence, and put a round into the back of their heads when I mentioned I saw a rifle on the ground. Looking back, might have been nicer to just walk away, but man, did they get me pissed. I felt it best to not take everything, and only eat one can of beans over their bodies.
  22. Happening on my end too. Still fully able to interact with items and objects like doors, so it isn't some kind of injury deal.
