I play on different servers all the time including private ones sometimes, it's nothing to do with them. Clearly not me though since DeltaForce and Enforcer have the same thing I do. This is just weird tbh how pistol damage varies for people. -

Yeah hacking in my sleep then having no recollection of it :L Either that or just poor hit detection, could just be that torso is for whatever reason a 1 hit kill as well with these weapons. -

I've been using the M1911 a lot and every time I shoot a zombie unless they're far off it's a 1 hit kill. I'm talking a lot of body shots as well and they all drop in 1 shot... sometimes shot them in the legs and then 1 more will finish them off. I don't understand how I could be magically the only person that has 1 hit kill revolver and M1911. Suppose I can't be complaining though :L -
Think this list is pretty far off. Good idea but needs more refinement.

Not had many friendly encounters. Sometimes I have but they didn't talk so I didn't really trust it and left them. Did have one where I found A German guy in a building, we both just had starter gear so we went to stary then the NWA and got ourselves better kitted out was fun tagging along with someone but most of the time I've just been solo.

I like the bizon. However it annoys me that it's always them or FAL's at crash sites. They should be more Random I've only ever found one sniper at a crash site. M14, FAL, Bizon. Beyond these 3 weapons most others seem rare at crash sites. -

Found the fn at crash site only one mag tho. Ive also got m4a1 cco SD Despite rarity I left the fal as its NV only and has just 1 mag. Did I do right or wrong'd u reckon? EDIT: Also found an M249 SAW, I left this as well as I wanted a long rage weapon. Could've been fun as I'd have had 400 rounds for it but wasn't sure it'd be most efficient.

That's what I'm hoping to do, never found an M4 SD before but I have like 12 mags for this thing so I don't think ammo will be an issue for a good while. Unfortunately I'm not too lucky at finding sniper rifles, I had DMR on my last character but got killed by a hacker before I ever had a chance to use it.

I personally think shit would be a great addition to the game but why people not talk about pissing? Shooting someone's dick off with an AS50 from a few hundred metres away would add a hell of a lot to the game IMO -
There should be no high grade weapons in standalone

I think more low grade weapons need to be added and they need to be the weapons most people will have and the ones that are common. Military grade weapons shouldn't be removed however but should be a lot rarer and in harder to reach places. If this game is aiming for realism then make it realistically difficult to find them. I don't know how military bases work/store munitions but I'm sure that Rocket does and he should put that knowledge to some use for the standalone. I think the problem is that if a zombie apocalypse did happen then the military would be out fighting so it's not unrealistic that you should come across their weapons where there is a military presence. Just perhaps make the highest grade and rarest weapons hardest to get (ie: AS50) Just an idea: You've got a military base, weapons are locked away and the only way to obtain the code to open the door to get to it is by a random loot drop on a military zombie and even then it should perhaps only unlock one of many doors. Whereas you may find assault rifles easily - behind these doors should be the best of the best ie: guns with scopes, silencers, high powered rifles. etc... This way plenty of people will get a basic assault rifle but then getting to these better weapons will give you upgraded versions and occasionally something better. -

I was gearing myself up for my first rage rant about hackers and about my stupidity for not listening to my instinct. I had just logged on to ES 6 to a play a bit before I went out, it was well populated. Normally I'll try and play on a relatively populated server but avoid the ones with most players as I know these have the highest chance of hackers and they always take an age to load. However I joined anyway, it was taking a while as normal. I arrived on the server and went to take a bite out my dinner when the whole plate decided to spill over my floor and keyboard - I couldn't help but feel like something was telling me not to play Day Z as I was debating it in the first place. I'm looking around the entire time I'm crawling (near veresnik) when I hear footsteps. I look behind me and see nothing but then next time I look back I see a character wearing military gear - not camo but a helmet and body armour. This and the fact he fell out the sky's arse let me know he was a hacker. I didn't have much time to think at all before he sprayed me with bullets. Now I would like to point out I have never quit in the face of another character, I'm not even one for shooting on sight much. I went to abort as this is the best character I think I've had on this game and I didn't want it to be lost to a hacker but in my sporadic panic I couldnt navigate the menu so I hit ALT+F4. He'd managed to get a good few bullets in me so I figured I was already dead and I was just going to log in to the dreaded coast. To my surprise apart from a broken leg very minor bleeding I was fine! Unfortunately I don't have his name so I can't report him but still a sweet victory fuck you to the hacker. -

Strangely the two times I've quit on a hacker when I logged back on I wasn't unconscious. Don't know if it was because it was a different server or what but I wasn't complaining. -
Found a MK 48 Mod 0 once but chose an M4A3 over it. Regretted it as soon as I found out what it was and how rare it was. I reckon the M249 would've been good but I'd want better range on my weapon since I already have a M4 SD.

I'm not sure why I'd take a regular FAL over an M14 considering they're pretty much the same except the M14 has better sights and range.

I think playing at night can be a lot more intense but I don't do it as often as I'd like because you just get people who turn their gamma right up so they can see fine. I know not everyone does this but it makes things like night vision kinda pointless. Do people agree that there should be some sort of gamma limit when playing at night?

Yeah the MK 48 Mod 0 is camo'd but this was a different camo and the MK 48 Mod 0 doesn't have '(camo)' at the end. -

Yeah it is, MK 48 Mod 0 is a real weapon but the (camo) at the end I'm pretty sure isn't part of any in game weapon. I checked the picture on the DB and Wiki, from what I can tell all he's done is add custom camo to it. I wasn't gonna risk taking it though incase it got blamed on me so it got buried along with the AK and grenade. -

I would've got rid of the hacked AS50's but didn't have enough time to no doubt by now someone has taken them or got rid of them. I can't remember what server it was which doesn't help. As for alerting an admin how would I actually do that? -

There's definitely gonna be less players than are registered but there's still a hell of a lot of players. Hacking hadnt really affected me until recently and now it seems every server I go on has hackers equipment or an actual hacker fucking my shit up. I stick to less popular servers but it'd be nice to be able to play on higher population servers without worrying about hackers. I like the game too much to just give up and stop playing there's a way around most of the faults you'll find. -

Yeah, I got away from this one but then the next time I logged on the entire server got killed by a hacker *sigh* On the bright side though I ran to see if I could find my body and along the way found my 3rd ghillie suit this week! So I have that back but lost all my other gear :L -
Suggestion for mobility system linked with inventory - fatigue and nourishment.

I know a completely revamped inventory system will be in the future for Day Z so I don't want to talk to much about that because I figure things like the ability to fit an AS50 in your backpack will be fixed. I quite like the cubic centimetres/weight idea. However being limited to what weapons would fit in your backpack would mean it would be impossible for people to carry some combinations of weapons. To help this I think players should be able to say sling a second primary weapon on their back however with this a decreased mobility should be taken into account. This provides a balance and this would go for all items that you carry - they all have weight and weight should affect fatigue and how much you'd need to eat and drink as well as the distances you'd be able to sprint for. etc.. So some people might prefer to have a single primary and secondary weapon + the essentials to survive. These people would have greatly increased mobility, making them harder targets but less equipped. On the other hand some would be wanting to travel with as much of and the best gear they can carry however this would result in a decreased mobility and increased need for nourishment. I think this would add more variety for the game giving clear different playstyles and survival tactics between players because at the moment it's very much all about finding as much loot as you can but in real life I wouldn't want to be running about with an abundance of gear that just weighs me down. -

Just because people in the military don't carry two rifles doesn't mean that it's unrealistic to do so. There is no 'need' for two primary weapons but there are good reasons to have two. It takes up more room but I prefer to have a silenced weapon/long range rifle and main assault weapon. Point I'm trying to make is people should be thinking more about whether or not they want two weapons. -

I don't know the specifics of the guns in the game and how they work. If the silenced gun can fire normal ammo then it should be able to but with whatever drawbacks that may have. Im sure they'll fix this and it will be some sd guns can and some cant. I reckon having mags and bullets separate would be a better way to deal with munitions. That way you can organise ammo more specifically. You may have plenty of bullets but not a lot of mags for your weapon.
