How to stay in a "surrender" position?

    K, thanks everyone.
  2. Hello survivors. I'm curious about the "surrender" position when your character places his hands on the head because I'm never able to "hold it" ? My avatar always does this for like a second and then returns to the normal position, God I hope this makes any sense. I was able to keep my character in this position but I have no idea how I did that. Any suggestions?

    Just got shot, unarmed.

This is a simulation, people do not care about you. There are two types of people in this game: Shoot on sight or shoot after I see his gear. I shot so many people in this game just because they were in good spots with weapons aiming at the cities, sometimes you have to kill someone to guarantee you safety, there is no other way but you can always try to take a risk, but don't cry when someone shots you in the back of the head with his rifle. By the way, at the beginning try to avoid cities, there are way too many people, stick to small villages and try to do some scavenging, then move into forest and try to find a group to play with.

    Convert or DIE

I don't know, it depends. I can't be friendly when someone is pointing the gun at me, come on. You know what just had happend to me today? I was driving in a bus with some of my people I play with and we saw a guy laying on the middle of the road near Belota Airfield, actually in the Medical Camp. He was laying prone on the road turning around like crazy turning his flashlight on and off. We didn't help him, we just drove past him but after 300 meters we stopped and get out of the bus. We surrounded him from distance and what did we see? A sniper behind a treeline waiting for someone to come help this guy. We killed them both, they were either working together or sniper just got the guy, both were armed with nice stuff and a lot of supplies. The point is - YOU NEVER KNOW what is going to happen, we do not shoot friendly people but sometimes it's just pure luck you are alive and yet you don't even know that.

    DayZ so F***ing Hacked I can't play.

I've never seen a hacker, just found some hacked items and vehicles, that is all.
  6. Probably, but like I mentioned - you can prevent that by not going faster than around 100, there where no problems when we were below/slightly above that value of speed.
  7. That is correct. You can witness some weird thing even while in a normal UAZ or whatever, simply put a limit on help and it should work. At least for now.... @up ?
  8. Hello everyone. First of all I want to say that I've (Well, me and guys who I play with) found a (Yet, I think it is working, I'm not 100% sure but it might!) way to make helicopters playable. Here's a little story behind this thread: Today we were playing on "our" server, we decided to take our guns and supplies and go to an airfield to search for some loot, we got into our military UAZ and went on our way. After about 15 minutes we spotted a crashed helicopter site on our left, we drove to it and then we saw IT. A fully working military UH helicopter with two gunner seats. Before you all start it I KNOW IT'S A CHEATED HELI, WE JUST FOUND IT. Allright, so we decided to: - Take it and fly it to our camp - Leave our stuff so in case we crash/bug nothing of our equipment is lost. After we all got this, we went to kill some people, scare some guys, protect our camp from intruders but that is not important. The important thing is WE GOT THE HELI WORKING WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS, YOU JUST HAVE TO BE CAREFUL AND HERE IS A LIST HOW TO MAKE SURE YOUR HELI WORKS 1. Do not go too fast, we examined it and over 100 speed (Whatever the speed measurement/scale is) you can de-sync which will result in: - Long lags - Unexpected player teleportations (My friend was teleported out of the heli, me too) - Unexpected player ejection 2. Height doesn't matter, you can go as high/low as you want :D So as long as you keep that in mind you are going to be safe, IN CASE ANY OF YOU DE-SYNC the heli pilot should hoover still in one place, soon all will return to normal. If you happen to teleport out and you still can see the helis speed etc tell your pilot to land, then you can safely scroll up/down and select GET OUT and magically you will be standing next to the heli, I'm not joking. After that you can still go back in and everything is fine. You may ask - why 100 speed? Well, over that you can de-sync which will result in above ^, we spend all the afternoon in that heli and EVERYTHING WAS FINE, NO ONE WAS KILLED (At least no one from our crew, damned gun seats! ^^) One thing though: If you are a chopper gunner be prepared to experience some graphical artefacts while aiming etc, that's probably one of the bugs. So, to sum up Helicopters are fine, you can fly them as long as you know how to and how to prevent some bugs, it's relatively safe so now I ask you all. WHY ARE HELICOPTERS TURNED OFF? My suggestion is: Simply put a speed limit for them and most of it should be fine, the real work around could be done later. This post was created based on my own experience, everything mentioned here is a truth also I have some screenshots available for you if you want, simply click this link to view my Steam profile http://steamcommunit...ixelatedbartek/ Was that TL;DR ? I don't care about you then, I want to help, I posted my experience/work around/reported a bug and I know I'm contributing something, as long as you're not trolling I'm perfectly fine to discuss with you. Thanks for reading and I hope some ppl will share some info on the "heli matter" with me! :) Cheers!
  9. They do spawn, my playmate found one and is wearing at the moment.
  10. His logic is simple, it really is! You need a gun to shoot off your legs thus making yourself impossible to run! Voila!

    (UK/PL) Looking for friendly survivors!

Okay, I think that's it for now, got enough players to start a group. Thank you all for inviting me, the thread can now be closed Badum *tsss*
  12. TIMEZONE - London, GMT+1 A bit about myself : I'm Bartek, 17, love gaming and definitely DayZ. I've been playing for 11 years now and today I'm playing DayZ. I'm a friendly player, looking for a Survivor (Not bandit!) group/people to team up with and play regularly. I like to play it safe, communicate with players with a microphone before I shoot (Today I stepped on a friendly sniper near a tree ... shooting bandits in Cherno, he gave me a blood transfusion! :D) Well, I have no idea what else should I point out so I'll move to the next section. What I'm looking for : I'm looking for a team of well, up to 5 players to team-up together in DayZ (Or maybe someone will invite me to a team? Dunno, I keep my fingers crossed!) Like I said before, I'm friendly and I'm looking for friendliest, no need for any bandit stuff. I like to help the others and i help whenever I can. What can I offer : - Mumble room for our group (Located in PL I think, we would see how the pings are eg. latency) - Of course myself as a group member, if there are any roles I would like to be a medic/support kind of a guy. - Serious but funny game experience, I like to treat this game like a real life BUT it's only a game, I'm not a douche but if there's a serious threat to me or people around me I will be focused, not running around like an idiot or anything like that. So, to conclude this post : Like above, feel free to join with me! :) My contact is : 1. PM here on the forum 2. Steam - http://steamcommunit...ixelatedbartek/ Thanks for reading this post! @Dat Genteman under me Go be racist somewhere else, k thx bai :)
  13. @Same as up ;) @Edit So it is closed now, will we be informed whether successful or not upon our applications ?

My first murder and now I feel guilty

Some people shouldn't play this game ... really. I was scavenging around some towns, managed to get some pistol, Lee Enfield and then I saw this guy with a hatchet - running from a horde. So I ran to him, tried to keep the pace yelling on the microphone "I'm friendly, stop running, I will help you" and I started to shot the zombies. When I've killed the infected I asked him if he's okay, I saw him bleeding and was going to bandage him but instead he swung his hatchet near me (Missing, at least...) and I had to put him down... That was the most annoying moment that happened to me in this game - I sacrificed my whole Makarov ammunition to save him, I was offering him help, supplies etc and yet he turned hostile on me. Sometimes I don't want to think who is behind the other character, it's just ... weird. But overall you can meet some good people and I'm just happy when I do :)
