I think if you create a new profile for arma 2 it is a different character in day z (different face, inventory, etc.) but I am not 100% sure.

I like this idea, you guys should take over the little square in electro with the hospital, office building, supermarket and corner appartment and make a little safe zone. Every time I'm over there (in the said square) I think to myself how awesome it would be if it were a safe zone lol. But it's actually one of the most violent zones I think. Everybody's always getting killed around there :(

To add to my earlier post, I think bood should regenerate but it should cap (for example only up to 9000 or so). Also if blood did regenerate, it should be a lot harder to find things such as blood packs and morphine injectors, epi-pens, etc. From the realism standpoint, obviously in a real life scenario we would be a lot more dependent on our own body's restorative abilities than on some chance encounter on a blood pack (AND someone knowledgeable of how to apply it). Seriously, I have no idea how to use one in real life, and if I did actually find a blood pack in a post apocalyptic city (what are the chances) I would almost definitely pass on it...

I was on US952 with a friend when we were both teleported to a empty map with what appeared to be all the other players on the server. We were all killed instantly. I've heard reports of similar hacks of being teleported to a deathmatch (?) I'm not sure if this is the same thing.

Your story is great and all and I'm really happy for you but in the current version the lee enfield has no bullet drop :o

This is really unrelated but can't the zombies be considered sci fi? Science fiction is fiction based on fringe or imaginary science. It doesn't have to be futuristic or time-travel or outer space oriented... The virus which wiped out Chernarus, isn't this some kind of scientific background to the story? Only a complete idiot would argue that: 1. Viruses are unrelated to science 2. The virus outbreak featured in Chenarus is based on factual events THUS what do you have? SCIENCE and FICTION. science fiction oh my goodness! Also the comment about the 'undead' is pretty ignorant. You suggest that sci fi is supernatural in nature but they are actually two contradictory genres. I feel like day z could potentially be categorized as a science fiction horror game. Darksider2000 isn't wrong to compare it with one.

I agree with a lot of what people are saying. To add my two cents, maybe blood should only regenerate when your hunger and thirst are fulfilled (not red and blinking). Most of the time you're dead in 1 or 2 shots anyways so I don't think the whole run back to the forest to regenerate argument is valid. The only real benefit that is gained is in fighting the zombies and not other players... Besides, I don't see whats wrong with the run back to the forest scenario, it is a rather realistic reaction. Bandits have to understand that sometimes people get away and if they do run into the forest and wait for their blood to regenerate - very slowly and conditionally of course - then that shouldn't be an issue. In a real post apocalyptic setting, if I were to injure myself my first thought wouldn't be to go hunt a boar or to find a stranger to do a blood transfusion... I would bandage up and run into the nearest safe spot (building, forest, etc.) and wait until I feel well enough to move on. If my understanding is correct that day z is supposed to be an immersive and realistic game, then blood regeneration should definitely be a feature. Just my opinion, I think day z is amazing as it is and however the devs like to proceed I will still be playing (:

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum, but would it be possible for a friend to download arma 2 off my steam account (which I purchased) and use it to play day z simultaneously with me? I guess we would be using the same cd-key. Would we be able to connect to the same server? Thanks!

I logged on this morning I wasn't even planning to play for that long. Well anyways I entered a house solo and noticed there was no loot! I got bad vibes and went outside and through the windows I saw 2 guys just waiting for me, AKMs aimed at the door (they probably heard me walking around). So I shot both of them in the face with a m1014 :P I know it doesn't sound like all that, but man my heart was racing...
