Ok I'm pretty sure I see what you're saying here. But how do I open the beta launcher with this "notepad++"?

Could you respond with your specs please? Because either I did something horribly wrong with the ram disk, or my PC really can't do it no matter what. Here is a pic of my PC specs vs. the Arma II requirements: As you can see, I meet them. Also, you said you are using ramdisk, so are you on steam or standalone?

You're right, FPS doesn't really matter on this game, but, the fact that it looks just absolutely horrid is what gets to me. If it looked nice or decent, and ran on 20 FPS, I'd be happy, but it doesn't...

Any idea on how I would actually do this for steam??

Hmm ok so is there any thing I can do at all?? Or do I just play a game that looks like it was made 7-8 years ago on 20 fps? Cause if so, I'll just accept defeat and uninstall it and say fuck it. Never should have wasted that money D:

Alright I used this video but I'm stuck at the part where he changes the target. For one, when I right click the arma2oa.exe (the beta exe) and try to change the target, there isn't even a target line. so I decided to use the steam one instead (it looks like this as of now: ). But I don't know what to change it to. I have the @DayZ folder in my virtual hard drive too. Help??

omfg... dude I put everything you listed and I cant get over 21 FPS and it looks like a Playstation 2 game... I'm about to get real pissed cause I wasted 24 bucks on a game I should be able to run.. I don't see why I wouldn't be able to?!? I mean, all the other games I've played have never done this. And I mean like Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 and Saints Row 3 and the whole 9 yards! This fucking sucks!

Ok so first off I have the two games from steam. ARMA II and ARMA II OA. I bought it in the combined ops pack. So I tried to do the manual install of DayZ originally. But then I decided it was too complicated. What was confusing me is which beta patch to use and how I'm supposed to use both the beta AND run the DayZ mod at the same time. So I said screw it, and went to Six Updater instead. I actually ended up installing the beta patch 94444 because every other patch required a login:(... But anyways, I already deleted the @dayz folder I made in the OA folder. So now, when I try to use six, I am granted with this lovely sight: http://gyazo.com/961....png?1342229546 . Yeah. Every single mod says incompatible. I honestly have no clue what to do other than re-install both games which I REALLY don't want to do because it took me about 5 hours of nonstop boredom to download it. Please help, all I want to do is get in the game and play D:

No, I really don't give a crap about actual Arma II, at least for now. I might mess around with the actual game and see if I like it. What is OP: Arrowhead all about anyways? is it even good?

That would be really amazing if was truly F2P. If it does turn out that way, I hope it isn't gonna be "Free to Play, Pay to Win" like most F2P games are..

I have to admit if it did go to standalone I wouldn't be a happy gamer at all. Would hate to have to pay for the same thing over again...

I know I thought about that. But I'm not a member of many forums except The BF3 USA one, which was recently shut down :(. Shoulda went to reddit r/gaming first probably.

Yeah, I have a very high tolerance for bugs. I was in a lot of Alphas and beta for multiple games. Idk, I've been watching a lot of gameplay lately and it looks like real life. Screw it, imma buy it.
