This is great and all guys, but you have to ask yourself one question. Can Rocket ROCK-IT ? I think so...

Day Z zombies are based off ARMA AI which has coding designed to have enemy troops try to flank you, which is why they do the spazoid animations. Various other issues with them, the delayed death events etc... It has been mentioned it is being addressed in a few game conventions by rocket.

Next video I would suggest not running around killing anyone you see while in a hero skin

( I hate posting under threads started by someone important, because i'm not looking for beans in a hot thread, but c'mon guys ) Personaly, I really wonder how many people complaining are actually kiddies who didn't get to play SA on winter break and will hold a grudge til the day they die. DAYZ the game has the potential to be game of the year, I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to have every thing you do scrutinized by thousands of people. It has nothing to do whether you are a fanboi or a hater. Common respect for the people working hard to deliver a product for us to enjoy. I think the people who are insanely upset need better priorities.

it is definitely something you can do. you don't need other people to play this game, tho it does make it more enjoyable at times. I would embrace being alone for a bit. Rather than trying to join up in a squad as a crutch you will have so many emotions playing "paranoia the game" for a few days by yourself.

You are playing on a public hive with has your shared character across all servers. if you want to play a different character you need to play on a private server. search by "private" and you will find loads of servers but each character is tied to that singular server. You can do this to learn/test your skill without risking your gear or moving far off from your buddy.

Before Dayz became nonstop coast DM I used so see people with 1k, 2k, even 5k zombie kills. too bad really, hoping SA will bringout team building again.

Question like this would actually be suited for a poll. Longest I have ever survived was back in the beginning. 17 days and 785ish zombie kills.

9/10 times its something silly like your Battle eye being out of date, sit in the lobby and see if the bottom left hand says checking battle eye version, updating, if so... chill out, don't spam the connect button. When was the last time you played?

This is not entirely true, it is possible to merely have a cough as a warning to being out in the rain, going indoors and taking heatpacks to regen temperature will remove the cough. As someone that runs 10k km in the mountains looking for camps/vehicles I have had this multiple times and never been "sick" needing antibiotics or actually bleeding. I'm familiar with the infected sickness as I have had to gun down my friend twice to prevent infection !!!

yes, but being killed legitimately is one thing. Logging out for 3 minutes to grab a coke and come back to have nothing saved is another.

So your complaint is people buying Arma 2 CO for $15 and DAYZ SA alpha for $30 still being cheaper than a POS console game for $60 is a rip off? Arma 2 is no means the greatest game in the world in my mind (I got it in June and have just barely begun to play it), but between the armory and a few of the challenges I feel it is a great steal for that price. You are getting 2 games for the cost of ordering takeout. PLUS, I'm going to assume with all the work on SA they probably don't have extra features like the armory from Arma. Where else are you going to hone your piloting skills? Last night I was flying around chernarus with an alt of 20-30 going at least 100km until i hit a power line telephone pole . GREAT FUN !!!

Can we safely say the system specs for take on helicopters will be on par with SA? Makes sense no?

did you even read the wiki i linked? The PDW is a Sidearm. it uses many magazines which fires 9mm ammo. So if you run out of PDW ammo, you can use other 9mm sidearm ammo such as the G17 and M9. You can also use MP5 ammo even tho it is a primary weapon the PDW will accept the ammo for it...

I prefer the G17 due to the size of the clip, all pistols do 800ish damage so like i said it doesn't generally matter. Do you already have a PDW? use it and test it for yourself. The one thing that is neat about the PDW is the fact you can use MP5 mags for it which are fairly common, sadly tho it takes your main inventory for it.

I think most people will agree your secondary weapon should be picked base on how many bullets it can hold. Damage is so negligible with pistols you are trying to focus on headshots. So I've seen quite a bit of tip threads for new players with the normal advice; - Always carry morphine - Never crawl down/up stairs - Stay out of open fields ETC... What are your personal PRO TIPS? Things an experienced player really should know. Considering that these tips don't even have to be game mechanics, but can also be tactical suggestions. I have been on and off DAYZ for a while and here are a few things I always try to do. 1. Never leave backpacks in your tent unless you want someone finding your camp to have an easier way of emptying it. 2. Never leave vehicles beside tents. Find a place 200m away to hide tents unless you like leaving all your eggs in one basket. 3. Hiding your car in a tree or near a house/wall is risky. As of this patch I've still seen cars slide into objects and despawn. 1/3 of my tractor was in a wall and my 2nd car gone. 4. Never log out with valuables in a tent, make room for that 2nd NVG in your bags before you head off to bed. 5. Shooting one or two tires from your car so I can't steal it only makes me want to blow up your car if i can't repair it. 6. Always PM charb your base location and server info so I can verify how safe it is !!! What do you guys have to add?

If you are in a squad of 5 guys and getting rolled I doubt your gear is all that great. In the event I kill someone I feel I am entitled to their worldly possessions and when I die, I never Alt+F4 to prevent someone from getting my stuff. it is part of the game. What I would suggest is not hiding the bodies if your Last man standing and take a hiding spot in an attempt to kill some of them while they loot.

Obviously there is a problem with the ammo system as a whole, does it really make sense that shotguns have to use 1 slot for a 2rnd slug? Why do we have to convert shotgun slugs from 2x to 8x? When stand alone comes out hopefully the new system will allow us to many different things with ammo, maybe raid a police station for rubber/bean bag shots, making a way to incapacitate players without killing them. I doubt we will see new stuff in dayzmod like this , really why its better to play on a private server right now with better weapon loadouts.

Arma 2 combined operations was #1 seller on steam for like 11 weeks straight , what does that say about how many of us bought arma 2 just for Dayz? Personally I've never even heard of Arma or BIS for that matter until Dayz. Definitely interesting in trying out Arma 3.
