Survival is often about knowing when to take the path of least resistance. Setting up a still to cook off water in an area commonly trafficked by people looking to kill you and providing the logistics therefor vs. finding a canteen and filling it in a pond is a no brainer, frog-shit flavored water notwithstanding.

I vote that Chernarus should be like DayZ Takistan and occasionally spawn you outside the map with no landmarks and no frame of reference. Seriously though, nothing to do at Krutoy? I'll agree it's not ideal, but it's within walking distance of 3 vehicle spawns (one of them the heli) a medium density industrial district (Solnichniy), three deer stands and a smattering of decent residentials. If you can't survive and get geared up there you're not a Survivor, you're a Deathmatcher. But I already knew that when you mentioned suiciding to spawn scum.

Simple doesn't equate to being easy, and it certainly doesn't equate to being energy efficient. The time spent gathering firewood, setting up a still, hauling water and then cleaning the still is vastly inferior to visiting a readily available freshwater source common in the low-lying coastal areas.

Distillation != "Cooking" seawater Desalination is an energy intensive process that takes time.

? Boiling sea water would make it more dangerous not less.

None of the wooded areas are classified as forest. They should fix that.

if you start the game before the download is concluded you can get battleye kicked, I'd say sit in the lobby for a few minutes to make sure the download finishes and then try it.

Why don't we just stop the goofing around and bring in Hind D's? Bombs, rockets, missiles, an autocannon, and 8 pissed off guys with russian weapons in the back.

They should be deleted on reset. Are you claiming they're persistent?

How will this affect the bacon shortage?

Seriously though, if you want a TWS go to a high pop server, go to Cherno, get up on the silos and wait fifteen minutes.

Hacked items for legit players are rare due to their conditional availability. They're earned by securing boxes, killing scripters, or PVPing in scripter targeted servers. Willingness to accept that as part of this Alpha test is a matter of course, due to their pervasive and consistent nature. Anything else is self-delusion. If he had it without ammo, he was probably arranging a trade, or returning from one.
-
You wouldn't expect someone who trades a lot to have access to rare items?

Thermal and night vision should be removed

It is when you misrepresent what he's saying. -
When you're talking about shooting they don't mean the same thing. The TWS is a powerful scouting tool but it's sighting aperture leaves a lot to be desired for distance shooting, it's why using it for long range sniping is silly. The M107 is more accurate, the AS50 is more precise, and the DMR is the best choice for single weapon users. Course none of that matters to somebody who can spawn in anything they need at any time, or somebody who just goes around hunting players.
-
I didn't say it's inaccurate I said it's imprecise.

Oh man you'll get steak sauce up your nose. :(

I'd love to see an Orca Carryall. That would be pretty awesome.

The single asset chosen to reflect a typical Helicopter in DayZ was an armed UH1H. I don't mind this due to engine limitations disallowing the use of passenger weapons, clearly you're of a different opinion, irrespective, every helicopter in DayZ is armed. Given its rarity, the Little Bird is still a bad choice, despite its fun.
