I'd like to see some CBRN gear as well. I mean, we are talking about a virus or disease or whatever, here. It'd be nice to see something other than a Czech M10m, I mean the thing is basically made for tear gas and that's about it.

I don't like the idea of adding too many weapons that are designated sniping platforms. I'd rather see a bush gun type rifle that has the ability to throw a scope on to throw the range out a little farther. I guess really though, with an R700 unless they add bipod/suppressor support to it, there'd be no reason to use it over the CZ527 with a scope. The ammo is harder to find, and it wouldn't have irons by default.

Well they've gone and implemented a 9x39, so a 9A-91 carbine would be cool. And again, the Vityaz-SN would be a great fitting 9x19 SMG.

Don't know what gave you this idea, but monopods and shooting sticks were being used with high caliber single-shot rifles for hunting for a long, long time. Far before we saw bipods being attached to firearms, anyway. Ruger GSR would be a good choice, it's got that nice scout rifle motif and serves the purpose of a brush gun for shorter-medium length engagements, and has ironsights plus has rails to attach a scope.

Release day, all the servers stuck on night time permanently, nobody knows where to find gear, everyone beating each other with low tier melee weapons or fists. Basically my first DayZ combat.

I agree! The more the merrier (within reason, of course).

Still surprised not to see a PP-19-01 Vityaz-SN on the list, it's chambered in a round that's already in the game (9x19) and it's Russian, so it fits the bill (probably even more so than the MP5A5 that a lot of people want).

Funny you say that, I just started playing again after a long break, and the first police station I go into had both a CR527 magazine and the rifle itself, I was hoping that I wasn't lucky and they had actually made them spawn more often, as I like the way the rifle looks but the last time I played (patch before Repeaters and MP-133's and such were added) the rifles were everywhere and there were no magazines to be found for them ever. Sad to hear the rifles are still borderline useless because of the rarity of their magazines.

I find a lot of bullets. Usually, they're coming towards me at anywhere between 1,000 - 3,000 FPS.

When you're talking about boosting the damage of a round that usually two hit kills, where is there to go? You can either boost the damage to where it's just at the cusp and still a two hit kill despite having increased damage (which wouldn't be a noticeable "buff", really) or you can make it an OHK. I understand the realism aspect, but with something like this it's important to take balance into account. I'd be very disappointed to see the Rossi become the meta civilian firearm in the game.

I really feel like just a reduced spread and improved ammo capacity of the carbine would be enough to make it worthwhile.
