    Problem

Really, those barracks doors are the most dangerous things in the game, man. Barracks is so cramped and the damn door is actually pretty large, large enough to sweep the hallway and anything else in its path (namely, you).

If DayZ was Real, how would you act?

Yeah, I agree, they kinda' rushed it, but they do have to fit it in a season, so a lot of anime are more or less like this. Now, your sig (and your avatar) is that Yuru x Yuri?
  3. Whattteva

    Less ammo, matchs run out?

Personally, I think he's right. I don't think I've ever been alive long enough to use up 100 matches and the 90% of matches I find are fresh spawns, not looted from others.

If DayZ was Real, how would you act?

Lol, isn't that from a manga/anime called "Sankarea"? It's pretty good series, actually. There's another one similar to it, but with a ghost girl... something like Dusk Maiden, Amnesia.
  5. Lol, karma just caught up to the OP.
  6. Poopie. I liked that suit :(

    Suck it up, buttercup.

Cupcake, buttercup, sweetie pie Shit, are we now trying to come up with sweets that involve the word "cup" in it??? Uh... uh... uh... sweetiecup?!

A solution to the "bandit" problem

It's actually a pretty good suggestion. It would make participation voluntary so everyone can have it their way. Be prepared for the flames that's sure to come your way now, lolz.
  9. I lol'ed. Personally, it never happened to me cause I always make sure I have 3 morphines on me and I make it a point to stock more when I'm down to 1 or 2.

How "safe" do you play ?

You're a pretty good samaritan. I'm generally only friendly down South and to non-snipers. I'm a bandit up North though, cause pretty much everyone else up there is as well. I really only play it "safe" up North. It's worked well for me. I'm pretty reckless down South, but my deaths are definitely way higher up North than down South. I've made quite a few friends down South, none up North.

    I'm Now a Deathmatch Player

Not everyone is like that. Here's my story. I was in Elektro church, somewhat fresh spawn, only had a makarov (before they messed with starting gear). Two guys spotted me and asked if I was friendly. I was a total noob at this time and had no idea how to communicate. I screamed at my friend on teamspeak and asked him how to do so (he's played longer than me). He told me I could cycle through the channels with the '<' '>' keys. As I'm doing this and trying to type, I accidentally even fired a shot (not at them, my back was facing them) and typed a single letter 's'. Of course, they were like "wtf", lol. Eventually, I figured out how to really talk and we banded up, found vehicles, they showed me how to fix it, etc... It was a lot of fun. They told me that they were so close to killing me though especially after I fired the accidental shot, lol. But now, we've become permanent friends and I'm really grateful to them for teaching me a lot of things. Moral of the story, yes things like that is extremely rare. But, I think the select few experiences you have makes it all worth it, IMO. Of course, to each their own, this is just what I think.
  12. I find that when I'm sniping, the bullet drop depends on more than just the distance, at least in DayZ anyway. If I'm on higher ground, like the hills aiming down, I'd only have to compensate for the drop at half the normal rate (like 1 mildot instead of 2). Of course, since this is Stary we're talking about, it's probably not the case since it's fairly flat there. Even the northern part is not that high.
  13. So, if I haven't logged in since 1.7.1.5, do I retain my Ghillie suit that I'm already wearing?

Lol, sounds like the approach Apple uses. That's the excuse they use for Siri's suckiness even though it's supposed to be the main reasons for upgrading to iPhone 4S. If only they keep the iPhone 4 as Beta, they wouldn't have taken as much flak they did with antennagate, too!
  15. Holy shit, that's in the options? lol, I had no idea. Oh well, the startup parameters work well for me, so I'll keep doing that.
  16. Really, there's not much skill in it. It's all about who sees whom first. A complete noob with a Makarov can easily kill someone decked out with all the weapons in the game as long as he gets the jump first. Hence, why a lot of people use sniper rifle, it gives them that "jump" without the other party even knowing where you are.
  17. Interesting, didn't know about the alt+enter thing.
  18. I think you put a startup parameter, something like -window. You can also use -x and -y to specify the specific size too. Edit: Found the link, go here, http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma2:_Startup_Parameters enjoy.

Holy shit, I never knew I could be getting Discrete Mathematics lessons from these forums. I need to visit here more often. Who knows what other free lessons I could learn here. At this rate, I could graduate without paying a single dime!!!
  20. Butthurt #1 complains for getting sniped. Butthurt #2 complains about butthurt #2. Butthurt #3 complains about #1 and #2 (me!) Butthurt #4 states the obvious. Butthurt #5 gets off-topic. Butthurt #6 takes offense and attacks butthurt #x. Flame war ensues. Rinse and repeat. I think probably at least 50% of threads here can be described this way, lol. B) Feel free to add to the list if I've missed any.

If DayZ was Real, how would you act?

Lolz, that's a great idea. I wouldn't underestimate the power of the winds in the atmosphere. It may be unlikely, but the potential is there. It can carry shit around the globe like it does with ash from volcanic eruptions. They'd lock us up alright... but not in the secure fashion you're thinking. It'd be more like a quarantine type. I don't think I'd be happy with that. I do agree with the arsenal they have, a zombie apocalypse would probably be easy cake for them. I think in a real zombie apocalypse, in the immediate aftermath, there'd be opportunistic looters looking to take advantage of the situation (much like current DayZ). But, eventually, most people would come to realize that they can't do shit on their own (this ain't video game after all where your character magically knows enough on how to fix choppers and even pilot it). Every community would probably have their own group. Eventually, overtime, you'd have larger and larger groups and civilization would be re-established. It's happened before in the last known mass-extinction event the human race went through, it will happen again. Those that say they'd kill, lolz. Why do you think crime scene cleaners get paid so much? It's cause most people can't stomach seeing that stuff. A lot of soldiers go home with PTSD. Most people here probably can't even slaughter a pig, much less kill an innocent human being. This is not a game, people. You're no longer a superhero the game would like you to think. Also, your supplies won't magically replenish itself by "spawning". You can't possibly live on scavenging forever. Civilizations developed for a reason. You need others to make shit you use. How bout that shiny weapon you have? You can't possibly shoot millions of infected and not run out of rounds. Same thing with the gasoline, eventually you'll run out of fuel cause no one is producing it. The benefits of banding up greatly outweighs shooting each other senselessly. Sure, you'd have idiots thinking murdering everyone is better, but those types won't survive and they'll get weeded out. The human species got to where it is now because we work together to make things happen, not by senselessly killing each other.
  22. I never knew about the heartbeat thing. But I once asked someone if he's friendly. He didn't answer, but kept slowly creeping up to my hiding spot (was kind of a stupid bandit, I mean it was clear that we saw each other). So I decided to sit still until he came into my field of view and blew his brains out. Then debug monitor tells me I got a bandit kill... that's how I knew he was one lol. Funny how he probably could've killed me if he'd answer my friendly call cause I wouldn't have shot him. Oh well, some bandits haven't gone to bandit school yet I guess and didn't know about the friendly warcry? lol.
  23. Let me try to remember mine: M4A3 + 3-5 mags. Revolver + 6 mags. Hatchet, compass, map, toolbox, matches, binoculars, watch, hunting knife. 4 bandages, 3 pain killers, 3 morphines, 3 blood bags, 1 cooked meat, 2 water canteens. ALICE pack , 2 packed tents, bicycle. Used to have a bus with loads of crap on it, but it got stolen. I was wearing a ghillie last time I logged off. I haven't logged back in since the patch release, but it's most likely gone now. :( Don't remember exactly, but probably been alive 3-4 weeks. Something like close to 200 zombie kills, 1 bandit kill, 0 murders.
