Makes two of us.... well, actually my situation is a bit different. I'm on business travel and won't be home until next week, so I have no choice but to troll the forums B)

Not sure if you got a desktop or notebook, but those notebooks are rather awful, too until you go to the 2k variant. And macs and gaming don't really mix, generally. They got plenty of CPU power, but they only come with HD graphics 4000 (crap for any serious gaming) until you go to the 2k variant. Macs are just such ripoffs in terms of price to hardware strength ratio. For gaming, you'll pretty much always come out better with getting a PC. Don't get me wrong, I used to own a mac, I actually rather like their OS, but gaming is just something that it's not made for.

You're right. Though, I wouldn't put it past people to try funny things. It wouldn't surprise me if someone's tried it already. I mean, people have tried things like suing McD for having hot coffee burn them (and won too).... I mean DUH, common sense that coffee would be served hot, right? Now, we have to deal with cups with "Caution, HOT!" signs on them. We are digressing though. I mean, I agree that whoever complains about paying DayZ is in the wrong, but my main point was giving them temp 7-day ban for it is just excessive. After all, it's just an opinion that they're expressing and it's not really harming anyone other than popping some hot heads' tempers.

I agree with you. Shooting on sight is hardly the best option at all times. I have just a story for it. I was a group of 3 in NWA. We were getting ready to loot the barracks. I spotted an animal off in the fields and went to go for it. While 2 of my buddies waited, someone started shooting on them. One passed out, the other bled to death. Eventually, both died, but as we were on teamspeak, I knew exactly what was going on. Naturally, I sneaked up behind the guy and unloaded a full clip on him. Moral of the story? He could've survived and kept all his gear had he just minded his own business and left us alone cause we didn't see him either. He made the mistake of being a dick and got what he deserved. As for our group? I simply drove to Elektro, picked them up, gave them back all their gear. We lost nothing and I was up one bandit kill while he lost everything and gave us some nice loot to boot. I can understand if shooting was his only option because we saw him too, but that wasn't the case. He was never in any danger and merely wanted to kill just for the fun of it. I hope he is having a lot of fun starting back on the coast.

Lol, not gonna go into too many details, but basically, it was some real high action thread that sort of exhibits the characteristic of the things I quoted from you. Itt got so out of control, it had to be locked twice by the mods. You can probably use the search function and find it. It was just on first page yesterday.

Agree with pretty much 90% of what you say here. My only problem with prone though, it makes you easy picking for snipers.

How's that a hyperbole? In both cases, your "character" is not allowed to the free world. Only difference is one is in reality, the other one is in the pixel world we call video game (virtual world), whichever one you prefer. Spending 7 nights in jail is hardly that big a deal. It's nowhere even close to being considered a felony. And why do most people on this forum that disagree with someone else's opinion have to start name-calling or spout swear words? Does it make you feel better? You don't sound any smarter saying it, in case you didn't know. If you disagree, just politely disagree. There's no need for hostility. This forum already has enough people with hot heads.

Nothing to it, really. Exploiters are probably just the same at heart, fellow bandits. It's just bandits killing other bandits. He's just unlucky that they happened to be exploiters. We've all exploited to a certain extent. There are too many bugs in the game to not exploit anything (ammo exploit, server hop, alt-f4 to avoid death, going to buildings so zombies line up, switching servers to keep playing daytime, list goes on). To the OP: I've been killed plenty of times by barracks server hoppers, it's just another part of the game. You learn to deal with it and move on. What you've experienced is just the beginning. It'll only get worse, so I suggest you get used to it. Once you accept it, it's not so bad. Really, it's just as others say, don't get too attached to your gear. Sooner or later, you will die. It's just a matter of time and who (A door may very well be your murderer, in which case, you'd have no one to get upset at).

Not sure about the desktops, but for the notebooks, you'd have to go at least to the 2k version to play Arma 2 at playable frame rates. Do yourself a favor and get a PC. Sorry, but like everyone else already says... Macs and games just don't mix.

side arm or primary? You run faster with a sidearm, but you crouch-run faster with a primary... it's funny like that. Also, there are two types of running. The normal running with 'C' or the sprint with double tapping 'W', which is faster. Also, after you've run for a while, your pace will slow down (probably due to stamina).

I've had that experience with just about any gun I pick up. It's probably desync issue though, who knows. But I sure as hell have had to fire 6 3-m shots out of the revolver just to kill one damn zombie. And then, next one drops only in one bullet.

Oh really? they are quieter than normal rounds? Fun thing to try... not sure if that's worth the accuracy loss though.
