He is trying to tell you that whatever they think is about the game mode is irrelevant to the actual point of this thread, he's just telling them to stop making such threads no matter the reason. You, while you understand that he's trying to stop people trying to do so, is trying to explain why those people may think that way.. unaware that he really doesn't care to find out such motives. I carry 1 of each in inventory and 1 of each in bag (total of 2 food, 2 drinks). 1 morphine in inventory, 3 in bag. TRUST ME, these things are even MORE important than them food and drinks! Imagine......... crawling for 5 hours into civilization only to get shot right next to the hospital.....

To be honest, just like I already stated, this thread would just go away eventually once it hits second page. Telling people to stop is futile and rather serves as adding fuel to the fire. Personally, I think the much much more effective way of stopping any undesired behavior is to simply ignore it completely. I highly doubt the hot heads here could figure it out though. Everyone is tooooo easy to bait and will jump at the first chance to call someone else names and act like Mr. tough guy.

I wouldn't just "go ahead and do it". I don't think they'd give permissions that easily. If one person gets exception, everyone else would want it, too. They can't play favorites. Many more server admins would simply say they all have hacking problems. Pretty soon, we'd be stuck with all locked servers. The temptation to turn it into a farming-galore server is too great.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but is this not the post you are referring to? The way you're responding there is sort of vague and sounds more like you're trying to explain the alpha nature of the game. My mistake, I guess I misunderstood it. I guess the OP would be correct too, since he is referring to his own post, so he can omit the first level of complaint because he himself is the complainant. I only realized that this is his own thread after I checked the quote, lol.

Lol, hate to crash the party, but both of you are wrong. The thread is neither about people complaining about alpha, nor is it about people getting fed up and going bandit. It's actually a thread about people getting fed up with other people that open threads about going bandit (look at the title). So, really, it's a thread complaining about other people complaining. Edit: LOL... just realized I'm actually quoting OP....

Locked server = free farming.... I can understand why Rocket would ban locked servers.

I doubt anyone will listen to him, really lol. It's a futile effort. In a few days to a week, this thread will fade to second page and things will go back to business as usual. Really, people need to realize, the best thing to stop those threads is simply to ignore them and not post anything. You're simply further entertaining the people that keep posting it by replying. If every thread just ends up empty, guess what? people are going to realize no one cares and that posting is just a waste of time and they'd stop doing it on their own.

I'll take a stab. My buddy and I were walking to an agreed rendezvous place to meet a third member. Once we reunited, we started walking to a place (whatever place that is). On the way, we saw a car that looked to be in pretty good shape and it turns out that it can be repaired. Unfortunately, the server kicked us out (could be restart, crash, who knows). We connected to another server and found out that our progress was unfortunately not saved and we had to repeat the whole rendezvous thing. It only took us 15 minutes to repeat everything though. And then, we went to the same place we were before on the server that kicked us out. All of the sudden, one of my buddies that was on overwatch duty yelled out "Car, ho!". We discovered that it was indeed another repairable car. This tale just goes to show you that it's still very possible for you to get lucky even after a server disconnects you forcefully.

I'll take a stab at agreeing/disagreeing. I suppose this one can't hurt. I mean most PvP skirmishes are resolved without reloading in the first place, so reloading faster a split second faster hardly make any difference. This can't hurt either. It would make traveling the huge map more bearable. This can have serious implications cause there could be cases where having an extra 1k blood is the difference between surviving or dying. I'm neutral on this, so no vote. I'm okay either way whether they implement it or not. I'd have to vote no on this. I mean having stuff blow up in your face after you kill him is quite a nasty surprise. Another no, they exist specifically to prevent people from getting through. Vaulting is an exploit. I mean seriously, would you really vault a C-wire and risk getting your ass messed up? Especially, since medical supplies are supposed to be a rarity in this desolate world. Not sure about this one. The biggest impact this would contribute to would be helicopter fueling, which I have yet to experience. So no vote here. I don't know enough to make a judgment. No, this gives way too much advantage. 1km is a long distance. I suppose this is reasonable, but this would also promote solo play even more. And we already have enough people complaining about how hard it is to make friends. So... uh.... this one is a tough one. I'd go with a selfish choice and say no, cause I generally always play with 1 or 2 other people. B) Hey, even I like to be selfish at times. Since I voted no for 4, I'd have to do the same here. First part makes sense. As for this being realistic simulation? If anything, it's a lot more like Matrix's fast-track learning. I find the idea of a guy that can operate all sorts of weaponry, fix all sorts of machines just from scrap metals, fly choppers.... I mean, I don't even know this guy and I'm already thinking McGyver....

I'm not sure if I agree with this statement here considering a lot of people here call each other names and other profanities just cause they don't agree on something. People disagreeing politely are probably outnumbered by the ones that are just plain rude. I'm not sure if there is already an age survey thread or not in these forums. But I would think that communities in general, would be pretty bad and overall, less mature if the majority age group consists of mostly people in the teens that get an adrenaline high out of acting tough on the internet. But, I'd agree with someone that said he blames the rising computer literacy. I mean, more and more people that use the internet are getting younger and younger. I watched on TV not too long ago about a girl that knows how to use an iPad, yet can't tie her own shoes yet.

Most marketing is just that... marketing. It's always misleading. It's just like the fuel efficiency number they quote you when you buy your car. They don't get that number from driving it around. In fact, the car never even moves an inch when they quote that number. The results? whatever number they quote you, subtract like 3-5 out of it and you'll get your real-world fuel efficiency. It has something to do with the debug forest spawn bug... at least that was my issue with 1.7.1. I kept spawning in the debug plains and everytime it happens, I'd have nothing... literally nothing, not even a backpack. Happened to me like 3-4 times on the way from 1.7.1.1 to 1.7.1.5
