  1. No offense, but you kinda' deserve it. I myself NEVER travel up North without good supplies of food, water, blood bags, and ESPECIALLY morphines. Cause having a broken leg anywhere far from a hospital is just crippling.

Agree or Disagree? Why we kill...

I agree with the OP, cause it sort of depicts how it would be if apocalypse really did happen. Yes, you would get some serial killers, but the majority of the population is simply not like that. Taking someone's life in real life takes balls. Not everyone can just pull the trigger easily. I myself can't even stand the sight of something gruesome too much. I'm pretty sure at least half the people here can't even handle seeing most trauma injuries you see in ER's without throwing up. Besides, you can't survive on your own indefinitely. Eventually, you need people to do things that you have no expertise on. Someone needs to figure out how to build vehicles, how to generate electricity, how to build shelter, how to build weapons/ammo etc.. etc.. The human race got to where it is now because of this very reason. We depend on others to do things that we can't do on our own. Humans are by nature, very social creatures. Of course, this becomes moot in a game where cans of beans, vehicles, ammo, weapons just conveniently spawn out of nothing. As much as some people would like to claim how "realistic" this game is, it just simply isn't. Killing some pixels is far far easier than actually killing a real human unless you are one of those psychopathic serial killers whose brains we still have yet to understand fully. Unlike normal people, they feel neither remorse nor happiness when they kill others... just complete indifference.

    Bandit or not, you decide...

Definitely a bandit. He didn't see you, you were leaving. Neither of you were in any danger. There was no real need to shoot him. I personally would leave him alone cause you are actually risking yourself by doing so. Why, you ask? Well, what if he has a friend who you haven't seen yet? Shooting him would reveal you and you're at risk of getting shot back by his buddy. I actually have a perfect example on this scenario. My group of 3 was going to loot the NW airfield, 2 of us were on the road, while I was about 100 m away from them killing an animal. Suddenly, we heard gunshots, and one of us passed out, while the other started bleeding. Eventually, the guy took out one of us, while another one of us bled to death. Unknown to him, I was creeping up from behind him. Once I was close enough, I unloaded an entire clip on his face. He did not even have a chance to shoot one round at me. After that, I saved my 2 friends' stuff in a tent, drove to Elektro to pick them up, and geared them back up. We lost nothing, while the other guy... lost everything. Moral of the story here? He could've survived and still retain all his stuff if he just minded his own business since we didn't see him. But, he decided to be a dick and got what he deserved. If only global/side chat was still around. I could've really pissed him off more by thanking him for the gear we got from him and telling him that my 2 mates are still fully geared.
