Your PC isn't powerful enough for it... As someone stated it's very CPU intensive. I currently have a i7-3700, 16GB DDR3 and a GTX 580 - nothing fancy. I can run everything max, view distance at 10km, AA not too bad. My FPS doesn't drop below 45. Sometime it does it big online Co-op games (with lots of other players -> not DayZ). But that's in extreme cases. Give me a engine that gives you a 10km view distance and doesn't require loading here and there. CE3 and Frostbite cannot. I guarantee it. Stop ditching RV engine, Day Z will inevitably use it, so ditching it now just makes you look like an idiot. Get used to it. And trust me, there are MANY improvements in RV4 that the E3 videos don't even touch on, so if Day Z does use that, screw CE3 and Frostbite, we're in for one hell of a gorgeous experience.

I'm still very curious why this topic is still going. Rocket will use Real Virtuality engine, no question about it. Whether it's an optimised ArmA 2 engine or a complete switch to ArmA 3's engine is not known. This talk about CE3, Frostbite etc is just pointless. 1. Buying licenses for those engines would be multi-million dollar contracts, which is stupid. 2. The RV engine is extremely powerful, thus why it lags on less powerful PC's. I'd say get used to the RV engine as I'm nearly completely certain Day Z will be staying on that engine. Once the game goes standalone, Rocket is able to modify quite a bit of the original source code, engine code etc. The Standalone Day Z will be completely different (in good ways) from the mod, even though it's on the same engine. And please, stop ditching the RV engine saying it's not optimised and it's shit. It is one of the most powerful engines currently circulating. Sure it isn't as pretty as your Frostbite and CE3, but RV is an awesome engine. For a small team working in the Czech Republic with not massive amounts of money behind them like the big players like DICE and Crytek, they have put out one fabulous engine, cut them a little bit of slack here and there. As stated in a previous thread guys, had two Atlanta boxes go down. Should be backup. Anymore problems please direct your questions in Support Tickets or the Support TS3 server. -
My HFB Server has been down ALL DAY

Hey guys, We had two Atlanta boxes go down. They should be backup now. They had to be manually restarted in the data centre as we were never given access to fully control them. We apologise for the delay, but posting in these forums will not solve your issues. You need to be aware that problems do arise with ArmA servers. I've been playing BIS games for over a decade, and their servers are not the most stable and require a lot of server power. So please be patient when they go down. We are alerted when they are and start ringing around to get them up ASAP. These are not COD or Counter-Strike servers. These are ArmA servers. They USE the servers power. You can happily run 10 BF2 servers on a dual core server box. You'll be lucky to run one ArmA server on it. Please don't let me lose faith in the DayZ community. Patience is one key aspect of every BIS game, please acquire this fabulous trait. As everyone constantly keeps stating, but some of you seem to neglect, this is a Alpha game. It's still buggy and server dropouts are expected. So please be patient. Maybe go outside, have a walk, grab a beer with some mates. Patience. It's amazing. Next time, please jump on our Support TS server; 69.46.34.162:10307 or lodge a support ticket. Matt -

icomrade, HFB offers premium hardware for extremely respectable prices. I've scoured the internet and have not seen similar prices for the quality in the HFB servers. I'm currently using one, and it's by far the best server I've had running for my clan. And I live in Australia! -

Guys, If you have any questions, jump onto the HFB Support TS3 Server: 69.46.34.162:10307 I just ordered a server a few hours ago, jumped on and they let me know what the accurate status of the box was. So if you have any queries, jump on and the staff can help you out :) -
Six Updater has just been updated. It had a different dayz_code.pbo hence why you all are getting kicked. Re download through Six and join away! Matt

Hey all, If you've emailed me and I haven't responded I apologise. I underestimated how many of you wanted to get servers up! For that, the developers have opened a new email; serveradmin@dayzmod.com - and I request that you email them first before you email me. Rather than just me attached to my email, this has several server admins who can aid you in setting up your server. Any problems, just ask. Matt -
Badaboum, Apologies for no reply. We've just been very busy. Please fling me an email in a day or so. Quite busy over the next 24 hours with University and work, but after that, hook me up. Matt

This is completely disrespectful. Seriously. We all have lives guys. We're all busy. We're not paid to do this, this isn't our job. So between real life, actually playing and being with family and friends we have to squeeze in DayZ stuff. We're trying our hardest, but it's post like this that make us question if it's all worth it. You have NO idea how much time Rocket spends on this mod, literally no idea. Now if you're not happy with the current arrangement, then you are free to pull down your server. We are getting dozens of emails daily for new servers, so yours is not required. Regards, Matt -
LVG, what is your server's IP? Matt
