    Bleeding out

    Bloodpacks aren't a waste. They are only a waste if you run solo. IF you, as I do, play primarily with a group including your psuedo roomate then its smart to carry them. Bloodpacks are really one of those items, like an Epi-Pen that is more suited to group play since they can only be administered to another player. As for your situation OP...run..hide..feast. Even if you dont have your hatchet,knife,matches yet..there are plenty of smaller safer towns to hit. Id first hit that barn just north of Elektro, then id hit the city of Pusta. Id then go to Mogi.

    Bring Back The Side Channel

    The communities of the servers suffer from no side/global chat. Thats a fact. Based on my experience as a moderator of a very busy Minecraft server(the home of Precious Stones, Simple Clans, and Combat Tag). Even if you don't like or trust someone, they are part of the community too. Being able to talk with everyone in a server community is critical as hell. Bring it back, seriously. Maybe have it be an option where veteran or hardcore servers can turn it off but seriously.

    Spawn on coast glitch with existing character.

    My friend had this shit happen as did I. When it happens...DO NOT HIT RESPAWN. Disconnect out to the main server screen, not completely out of the server, then hit the 'ok' again. 3 things will happen.. 1)you will pop back up at your OLD location infront of a fresh corpse with all your gear on it (Happened to me) 2)You will pop up on the coast with all your gear 3)You will pop up on the coast with nothing and get to have the fun of restarting.
  5. First off, i agree with the general sentiment here...less general military (Certainly NATO military) and more Civilian/Eastern Bloc. PPSh would be rather nice. Id also add a rifle, bolt action with NO scope (just iron sites) that takes the CZ 550 ammo too. Hunting rifles would be common and not all would realistically have scopes on them. Now then, other weapons Id love to see? Something along the lines of a FAL with a Red Dot, preferably the Aimpoint Comp M3(Or do they use the M2 model?) since it's already used on many other weapons ingame. Choice with weapons is important and this would make it so there was a 'Regular' FAL, the Night vision variant, and now a middle of the ground variant. One other weapon Id like to see added is a suppressed .45acp caliber pistol. The 1911 would be a smart choice but there's plenty of other options out there in the .45ACP chambering. Reason for this is that .45ACP is naturally a realllly good caliber to suppress due to the fact that the bullet goes under 1000FPS to begin with. (1000FPS being the sound barrier. 9mm goes beyond this normally, hence the need for subsonic ammo. The game calls this ammo SD ammo.) So we wouldnt need a snazzy .45ACP SD ammo added as it isn't needed. A 1911 .45ACP with a good suppressor on it is damned quiet and a pleasure to shoot. Other weapons? Well if I was going to add some soviet bloc military arms...I would add probably something from the AK-101/104 line along with probably an RPK and maybe a PKM. The only 3 machine guns in game right now are NATO, we need some more good old soviet guns in there.

    Well thank you IDunc for your totally useless post. I truly hate people who just go 'stop, its not gonna happen, blarg rage'. Simple mindness is the enemy of creation and imagination. You didnt even bother arguing the point other than saying Obviously if people keep bringing it up then they feel that classes would be a GOOD thing for this game. You don't speak for everyone, so how about you just please stop being a controlling ninny and let others flesh out ideas. You aren't deciding what direction this game takes, that is the job of the devs. We, the testers, put up ideas and they decide what they want to do. Now then. I think that if classes were carefully put in with only minor benefits then balance wont be an issue and will add flavor. You wont feel like every other podunk survivor in the game. Feeling..unique..is important even if the reality is that you aren't special. By no means do i think we need WOW style classes or even ones as serious as the classes in Killing Floor. Light weight 'pre-apoc professions' would be a benefit I think.

    I will say I support the idea of 'intelligent classes'. Chances of someone being an uber elite dead eye sniper before...limited as hell. Allowing people to choose certain 'professions' will just give them certain bonuses at the start and some throughout. This will drastically increase team play as group makeup would be important. What id suggest, just off the top of my head.. Farmer, Hunter, EMT/Nurse, Cop, Taxi Driver, Mechanic, Farmer: 1)0.5 x Number of Steaks on Animal. Minimum 'boost' is 1. So a rabbit would drop 2 while a cow (which normally drops 8) would drop 12. 2)Starts with (including base gear): Hunting Knife. Hunter: 1)Less scope sway when using a scoped rifle due to a many hours spent with scoped rifles during life. 2)Starts with (Including base gear): Binoculars. EMT/Nurse: 1)When you apply a bandage to another person, instead of only stopping bleeding, it would also add 400 BP to them. 2)Starts with (including base gear): 1 Epi-Pen & 1 Morphine Cop: 1)Pistols do an extra 1/4 times their normal damage to infected (only) 2)Starts with (Including base gear): ???? Taxi Driver: 1)Uses 1/4 Less Fuel than 'normal' (accounting for any fuel leaks) due to experience on maximizing fuel over distances 2)Starts with (including base gear): 1 Jerry Can Mechanic: 1)Takes 1/2 the time to construct/deconstruct Barbed Wire/Tank Traps. Also (if driving), a vehicle will degrade slower under normal conditions (IE: NOT being shot at) 2)Starts with (including base gear): Toolbox The point above is that each of those 5 professions is NOT game breaking. There are small bonuses and general starting item benefits that are not game breaking. Yet they will be beneficial and make people want to come together more often. Of course those are just general suggestions to exemplify what can be done with a 'before the apoc profession' system to add some flavor and interesting mechanics without making any of them overpowered gamebreakers. If done right it would be awesome because, as the OP says, everyone was something else beforehand. A good example would be the TV Series Falling Skies. One of the main characters was a history teacher but now is an AK toting leader of the resistance.
  10. Spam save tent like 5 times. Had no issues. I dont know if once is not enough or what..but yeh. Spam it a few times, back off, go back and save it a last time. You are basically beating it into saving. Sadly there is no dialog of it saving.

    Tents...madness...

    so there's a lot of threads about the tent bug issue and I have faith that the dev team is aware of the issue... but seriously... any ETA on a fix for this? Its highly annoying. And yes, I have read all the 'how to get around the problem" threads and tried it all. Sometimes it works within a few tries, othertimes...25 minutes and nothing. So yeh, just curious as to when a potential fix for this is coming.
