Sounds like an awesome update. Looking forward to see all the new items and check out Svetloyarsk. Somewhat curious what colour choices of spraypaint there are. :D -
Yeah, that sounds a decent idea...but I wanna be able to burn down said tent at some point. :D

Here's a crazy idea...just don't click on it? You knew what it was going to be.

Tis a very difficult time to be an alpha tester it seems with everything going on. Nevertheless enjoying it for the most part, still very excited for the potential of the game.. -
I dont understand why there is no AUTO RUN KEY!!!
wickerrman replied to Bohannan (DayZ)'s topic in Suggestions
Done precisely this and honestly it really doesn't bother me. You know what I do if my finger starts hurting? Switch finger, and double tap capslock to talk to someone if need be. In my opinion, adding an autorun creates a much more passive experience (something I wouldn't enjoy) and I'm pretty sure the devs have said similar things in the past. -
Eventually I would love to see a radio station/transmitter up on Green Mountain where people can create their own radio show. There are so many possibilities and potential awesome creative uses for the walkie talkies etc.!

<<<< [How to] Improve random player killing. >>>>
wickerrman replied to Zeeb (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I agree with some points. But this game should never become NPC-based. It's all about player experience, nothing is planned out. You do what you want, therefore what happens to you is rarely expected and much more interesting because of that. My favourite experience of the mod was a firefight between me and 2 others near Three Valleys, it was the most tense FFA over a car spawn. I chose to go there and what I found was more fun than any quest can ever be. Any safe area should be completely player-built and player-run, which of course requires more ability to build defense like are planned for the distant future of the SA. Finally, to do with KOS...there has to be some representation of sanity/humanity that will impact on a player through their health/aim/ability to play the game. There has to be some kind of punishment of sorts for firing at someone, something that a bandit can take the risk of being. Something similar to the idea of hearing a loud heartbeat when looking at a bandit like in the mod, it can't be something visual it has to be something you really have to pay attention to. So that bandits have to work hard to kill someone...but not too hard, otherwise they will stop playing that way full stop. -
Security Vulnerabilities fixed by Patch #2 and Character wipe

It's an alpha, the only standard I care about is "please don't brick my PC" or something similar. Otherwise, all is well. -
Security Vulnerabilities fixed by Patch #2 and Character wipe
wickerrman replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
Why are you complaining about this? They patched what they could find, people finding these exploits during an alpha...which is the stage where things are usually fixed during true development can only be a good thing, so they can be fixed everytime one pops up. Fixing these security issues can only be a good thing.- 250 replies
